Quick Toggles Page Transition - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey yo good lookin people,
I was wondering here for quite a bit: is it possible to change the transition when you enter quick toggles page from all stocky slide down to the good lookin AOSP spinny spin? I was playing around and investigating files like SystemUI and Framework-res and even those funny jars packed with small smalis from ze beautiful frameworks and couldn't find any lil' thing. Would be nice to have that super fancy-all good loking super smooth spinny spinny spin animation.
smeroni69 out of ideas how to do this fancy thing! Could you help smeroni69?! :silly:

any horizontal scrolling launcher?

ive spent about all my free time at work today searching around for an app that is basically just a today plugin app launcher with horizontal scrolling as is seen in the diamonds today screen interface at the bottom. basically the best way i could describe it would be a plugin exactly like cLaunch but with horizontal scrolling between the icons.
i would be willing to help out if anyone knows how to take cLaunch or its predecessor (cant remember its name right now, something like todaylaunch or something?) and add in the horizontal scrolling feature. if there are people out there that might be able to help out, maybe we could also take claunch and add in a feature to add multiple rows of icons, maybe each with individual lines of scrolling???
any help on this is appreciated
thanks.
Did You tried Throttlelauncher here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390553
yeah sorry i meant to include this:
ive tried throttle launcher, ultimate launch, point ui, ifonz..... ive tried a lot. im willing to throw about any good looking app that at least some ppl like and test it out.
but all of those mentioned before try to just take over your today screen. thats too much, i am just hoping to either find or help make a today plugin, with customizable height as well.
>>>basically cLaunch with a scrolling feature is what this app would come out to be.
look again at ultimate launch... You can make a simple icon row (say 4 scross), and with a flick, it goes to another page of 4 icons, leaving the rest of the today screen intact. You can set height in it. Its GREAT!
Maybe BatteryStatus...take a look at their theme thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350510
Ultimate Launch will do exactly what you're asking.
Just like cLaunch (single row if that's all you want) and you can slide / rotate through as many such rows as you choose.
You'll need to configure it appropriately.
You'll put it in the Today Items with Ultimate Launch in the appropriate order as you want (like cLaunch).
Then in UL config on "headers" set the Height to "0" (zero).
You're done. Add as many tabs as you want but keep the link count to a small enough number that they don't "wrap" to a second line and you've got cLaunch with scrolling.
with ultimate launcher if i did that wouldnt it basically do the same thing as claunch, just with customizable transitions. the scrolling im looking for wouldnt have pages like ultimate launch would with its icons.... itd be like how the diamonds bottom bar transitions.
pretty damn picky huh?? haha
UL is the answer.

[REQ] One more eye candy idea for our rough diamonds :D

Just had a simple idea that would be very nice, by now everyone has a favorite background when they return to home, my idea is why the hell when we click on start and the drop down menu appears why cant it be just a tiny bit transparent
just like the strip where it shows the day and the carrier, transparent but not too much transparent, do you get the idea?
that would be cool...

[Q] Dual wallpaper

Hi.
I am loving my advent vega (much to pauls great work over at modaco)
But one problem i am having is the wallpaper on my vega. The image get chopped when in landscape. Is there any way to apply two different wallpapers for portrait and landscape? I am aware of a app called dual wallpaper on the market, but i would like to know how you can do this manually?
Thanks in advance
Hello there
This is a large issue being covered over at modaco.
One chap has created a template which shows how to create decent wallpapers, but its not an simple one shot job.
Personally, Ive been using various live wallpapers, which although adds to battery drain (but really not much, the vegas got a super battery life compared to android phones like me Desire) they dont have resizing or black bar issues (especially with pauls great mini tool bar mod)
I'd like to have a nice hi res still image, but until there is a quick idiot proof way, its live wallpapers fer me
rgds
LoK
Idea
when I was getting a custom boot screen i realised how to make this fit just resize the image when you are setting it it will look wrong and do it in a square but the result is it all fits

I'll give it a go,thanks.
i want to know why there aren't themes to the notification bar, like different colors, icons, and styles. is the black notification bar on honeycomb pretty locked down unlike on android mobiles?
quite new
Honeycomb is quite new.there are way less numbers of devices out there.this means less development.then add the fragmentation of device spacific fragmentation.
BLAME GOOGLE.for not forcing compatibility across review as such.Ms Mac does forndevelopers.
Less is customizations from lens.and standardized software is much needed with android.
Or true complete open source and forces Unlocked devices
OK I stop ranting now

I've changed the icons for my Back/Home/Recent Apps buttons on my bar. The png files are in the systemUI.apk
With a file explorer and 7zip you can change the button graphics to pretty much anything you want.
I would love some new boot animation same old android logo very boring, tabooney has some great kitchens for boot animation any idea if it would work running 3.2 stock from with cwm
Acer A500 3.2 AsusNetflix patch FTW

Transparent Status/Toolbar

I would like to know how to make my Status/toolbar transparent (which I kinda found how to do), but didn't really understand it for the Evo. As well I'm running ics-deck-pa8.
However here is curveball. I would like to extend my background from top to bottom, so essentially my toolbar would have the natural Live Wallpaper background behind it.
Thank You
try the kitchen...
UOT Kitchen
wow... pretty neat tool. I will play around with it and see what I can do.
Thanks
