Hi everyone,
I have a galaxy s4 and I love it. What I need is too add emoji to the input language section. Can anybody upload the file or tell me what I have to do. I really do not want to change keyboards because I really like the Samsung stock keyboard.
Thanks everyone
I dont think its possible unless you download handcent sms.

I would say download AndroidEmoji.ttf/apk & paste in the System Fonts folder, buuuut unfortunately custom fonts don't work on the SGS4, atm :crying: Try Handcent SMS & install the Emoji Plugin.

Where can I find it? I have it for motorola defy its a zip that you flash it and you are done.. but in nexus 7? can someone link me to a flasheable zip or apk so I can use it in my 4.1.2 rom? The stock keyboard without gesture typing really sucks :/

EDIT: What is none bubble keyboard? The one Im searching for? or the emoji one keyboard? looking inside zips looks like the none bubble keyboard is the android one is the emoji one cool?
Hey,
Just picked up this phone came from a Note 2.
Anyways i cant find any settings to get the messaging box where all the texts are from everyone to be black. its white/gray and it looks ugly with my swiftkey thanks
Cedric
Hey bud, I'm guessing you want to change the color of the bubbles? Go to the main text screen (shows all your active texts) and hit the menu button on your phone. From there you'll be able to access settings and change a few things.
EDIT= Just realized what you were talking about. I hate it too! I have everything on my phone dark and that's the only screen that's white. I'm not sure if you can change it.

Mines black by default? See my screenshot below.
But someone over in the theming section remade the apk, I think you can just install it, might have to replace the old one I'm not sure since mines black and I don't need it.
Ahh it's going to drive me crazy. And I don't want to root it.

Try this modded apk from the themes section. I believe you can just install it without needing to root

How? No idea, I've got the Rogers S4 up in Canada so maybe its our firmware? My SMS/MMS contacts and dialer are all black by default, wait till you have an unlocked boot loader and maybe flash our ROM? There's also no lag
If anybody wants to try to use my default SMS /MMS here's a link to a zip with both the apk and odex files you'll need to copy into yours system / apps folder
**THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP**
**YOU MUST EXTRACT MANUALLY AND PUSH MANUALLY**
Side note : you make be able to simple side load the apk as normal but I'm not sure. Report back if you'd like
I can also do contacts / dialer as well

Might be interested in the contacts apk....first going to see if I can get the MMS to at&t to work

Hey buddy I would love for you to help us out. I'm not rooted so I'm not sure if it matters. I extracted the file into the System Application folder. I can click on the APK but after trying to install it, it says cannot install application. Help!

Worked perfect for me....
Install keyboard like normal apk & themes apk files too..
Then copy paste lines given on thread to buildprop. Also put AndroidEmoji.ttf to System/fonts (backup old one), set permission 644. Reboot!!

How do i set the permission 644?
I did all the things but still no emoji.
I get the keyboard but can't se the emoji. blank spaces... :silly:
Edit: got root browser and changed the settings to 644. But no Emoji.
Cant see them on the phone but when i send them people can see them.
I have a solution for this. But I can't post it... odd!
My girlfriend's got an unrooted S4. Is there any possibility for her to get a newer LG Keyboard without rooting her device?
Thanks in advance

Sorry mate… don’t think so… you see, you have to get access to the system folder i order to copy and alter the files. But if you figure out a way to do that without root… then good for you mate. Good luck… :good:

Root is the best solution.
I'm planning to flash a font on my g2.
I was wondering, does the flashed font replaces out-of-box original font?
or does it replaces every font on the g2?
or does it get added to the font menu??
files that are included in the zip are
DroidSans
DroidSans -Bold
DroidSansKorean
DroidSansKorean-Bold
i'm very confused.. someone help meh

I used rom toolbox. I went into settings on phone changed font to anything but robots. Picked font on rom toolbox, downloaded. Then restart phone, go back into settings and now pick robots. The font you downloaded will be applied under the robots name. Then restart phone again and new font will be everywhere. Works great
