Is there a way to change the default colour labels of different email accounts in the stock email app? I want to start using the combined view but would like to change some of the colour labels associated with the different accounts I have set up.
I have done some searching and can't seem to find anything. I don't know if this is because I just haven't been looking in the right place or if there is no way to do it.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

hi, in tabs for mails, there is one envelop icon for each e-mail account in upper right corner. is there any way how to change that icon? I would really appriciate any help - it looks all the same and some times I forget which one is which and different icons would really help
thx
The icon you're referring to can be changed. But unfortunately, that one icon will still be used for all your email accounts. That is, you can't have an icon for Hotmail and then a different one for Gmail.
Tip: If you hold you finger on the icons and scroll vertically, a bar will come out that will show you the name of the account you're on. This is helpful if you manage several email accounts.
I see - yes I know that holding part, but I was hoping for having one icon, for Gmail, other for Live, etc ..
well at least I know it can't be done - thx
One of our end users just made the plunge to get a Droid X, and they hit me up with an interesting question. They have it set up currently to sync with both Google as is the default necessity and with our corporate Exchange server.
As a result, when they go to add a new appointment, the options look something like this:
Corporate*
Google Account
I assume that star after the name of our corporate account means it's the default for new appointments, but it's there. He's wondering if it's possible to change that so that the default for new appointment entries is the Google account. I couldn't find a place to change this. Anyone want to give this a try and see if they can figure it out?
Thanks!
I don't think you can separate default email and calendar.

I'm in a similar situation. Is there a way to set google mail/calendar as the default for both instead?
I've got an Atrix and an Exchange 2007 server. I don't see any way to search the mailbox for emails not on the phone. Before getting into TD, RoadSync and the like, can Corporate Sync do this or not? If not, is there anything besides TD and RS? What's the most reliable activesync client at this point?
Thanks
Nope. I've been on TD since almost Day 1 for that reason plus tasks and notes!
I have tried all of them. TD is by far the best.

I've installed TD and have some questions about using it
a few questions:
I've removed the corporate sync account and set up TD, and set it to sync immediately. It works, etc. I'm hoping to get it more integrated and less of a standalone app. My questions are:
(1) can I map the contact button on the blur home page direct to td contacts?
(2) If I can't map the default button, can I add a TD contact button to the main page
(3) is there? (still) no way to change the default contacts to soft by last name?
(4) is there a way to make TD's default view be all emails instead of Unread emails?
(5) is there a way to get a button bar on the main email screen so deleting or moving emails is quicker?
(6) can the font in the list view be enlarged? I see how to change it in the email view.
Thanks again

Click to collapse
1) don't think so
2) yes, see my answer to number 4
3) don't know. Don't use it
4) absolutely, instead of launching the full td app, long press on home screen and select shortcut, point to touchdown and select the envelope
5) you can do multiple select, it's quite easy
6) not sure

What is TD??
As an aside, have any of you used the Office Messenger client?
I have searched high and low but cannot find a solution for me on this problem. I am running the Gingerbread RC by AT&T and have been using GO Launcher EX for a while now. I cannot find an option to make a shortcut to a specific email account's inbox. The default EMail link goes to the phones default account, and the messaging icon goes to the list of all the accounts. I would like to make it so that I can have individual icons for each email account, like Blackberry does is the best description. I have tried AnyCut, K9 (which sucks for exchange), and about anything else I have read.
Only thing I will not do is change my launcher applications. Please help me if you have any ideas.
For Gmail, long press home screen, shortcuts, select Gmail labels, select Gmail account, select which folder, I.e. inbox, shortcut created.
May be same for other email.
Hope this helps.

I placed same thread in the questions sections so if you feel the need to close this thread I am good.

Thanks but for non-GMail that doesn't work.
Hey everyone, I need some help. Since the Gmail app updated to the "Material Design" look, I've had an annoyance when trying to switch between my email accounts. In order to quickly switch, you can tap on the icon for the email address you wish to switch to. The problem is, two of my accounts are using the default Gmail silhouette, so I can't tell which one is which from the menu:

For all three of my accounts, I have uploaded a profile picture via the general tab in Gmail settings in the browser. My personal Gmail shows my picture, no problem, but for some reason the other two don't come through. I'm not sure if it matters, but both are Google Apps for Work accounts . Also, I'm not sure if it has to do something with the sync settings, but I have them set up to sync email and app data. Also, for reference I am rooted and using the stock NC1 AT&T rom and have cleaned off all the bloatware.
Anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks,
