The stock rom would make you swipe the screen everytime the screen was turned on, even if your password time out had not been reach yet, but after I installed Mint v2 that has been removed and when you wake the device it goes right to your home screen.
Does anyone know how to enable this again? I've tried to search here and on the i9505 forums but could not find anything.
thank!

Not sure on stock since I didn't really use tw on this device but its usually setting > security that ROM probably has it turn off or something

Nope, I don't have anything in there about it. I had to take pattern off to make it swipe every time it wakes. Hopefully someone can figure it out Soon so I can put it back to pattern.
Thanks though.

Hey guys, I'm having a little bit of trouble with Widgetlocker and launcher Pro.
Basically, I'm using widgetlocker as my lock screen. The problem is that when I press the power button to turn on my phone, I see my home screen for a bit, and then widgetlocker kicks in a second or two later. Is there a way to get rid of this little bit of lag?
Thanks!
EDIT: based on what I'm messing around with right now, it seems that this lag exists only when I shut off the screen then turn it back on soon afterwards. Still have no idea how to fix it though
Don't waste ur time just download lock not pro ...its bad ass..B-)

Lock not pro? do you mean lockbot pro?
Yeah lockbot pro my fault..lol
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
hmm, lockbot pro seems to be kinda laggy too. I have to use no lock or else the original lock screen shows up first, before the custom one pops up. After that, it takes a second or two to load up the background picture

I have that same setup widgetlocker/launcher pro plus and do not have that issue with the delay...have you looked into your locker settings "HomeHelper" and the "5 second root bypass rule"?

Yea, I've tried messing with those settings. No use though :/
Also, just wondering. Is there a small lag from when you hit the power key to when your screen shows up? I tested it, and widgetlocker takes a second or two longer to turn the screen on versus the stock lock screen. I'm currently blocking the stock unlocker with no lock. How are you doing it? (Am I doing it wrong? :c)
Thanks for the help so far
Same here - I've had similar issues and not much seems to fix it. I may try contacting the developer about it.

I have my screen to light up with either pwr/vol or cam keys pressed, most of the I use the vol keys to light up the screen. There is a delay, but I think it is cause by the setcpu set at 200 when screen is off, so things are running alittle slow when I press the buttons to turn on the screen, its not bad enough to drive me crazy.
When I have it plugged in, the cpu runs at 1.2 and the screen turns on quick with little to no delay.
I remember a setting somewhere that changed how long after you turned the screen off until the phone locked. I just did a quick look and I didn't see it in LP or in Spare Parts. Maybe it was in CyanogenMod on my Hero? I wonder if that would help with the problem. One day we'll get CM and all be happy with our phones.
Am I the only one who has been having issues with the lock screen locking up on unlock? had this issue before I rooted am still having this issue.
Find i have to relock (power button) a few times before it starts to work!
Haven't had this problem. It has been smooth since stock. I find it weird that you had the issue before rooting.
Do you have any custom kernels? Any homescreen widgets? Does it happen consistently?
Nope, none, no stock widgets or anything like that, about as stock as you can get.
Happens once every 10 unlocks i would say, might have to send it back!
I can confirm this issue
Face unlock is on with pattern unlock as backup
Whenever face unlock fails I try to enter pattern....pattern does not work
Phone doesn't even show pattern(like its not accepting touch input and I do have it set to "show pattern" )
Slide up to Google Now when unlock pattern screen appear and you get new unlock pattern screen.....entering pattern here works
I suspect it is related to face unlock....when face unlock fails it never locks for touch input
This error occurs 70% of the time not always

I have removed root etc done a fresh wipe and still have the unlock lag issue l, i don't use face unlock. going to try and get a swap from o2 today.
Used to have this problem when using autobrightness
Mine has hung a few times on the lockscreen and each and every time it has, Auto brightness has took a dump.
I don't recall it doing it more than one per reboot though, I'll have to monitor that.

Yes I have this exact issue and posted on it about a week ago in the Q&A forum.
I push the power button and I cannot drag the slide unlock. If I wait 10 seconds it sometimes unfreezes and lets me. I have to cycle the power button until it finally lets me slide unlock.
I've completely wiped the device and that has had no benefit.
What apps do you have installed? I've wondered if it's an app.
I use Words with Friends, IMDB, Reddit is Fun, Tapatalk, and Google News & Weather widget. I'm going to try disabling auto brightness to see if that fixes as suggested above.

Ended up getting a new N4 from o2, no longer have the issue, same apps installed must of been some random hardware issue!

This happens to me all the time. Super annoying! I don't use auto brightness and it happens with any lock I use, slide, pattern, pin. Should I contact Google?
I'm 100% percent stock, not even rooted.

I have also been experiencing this, really is infuriating not being able to unlock your own phone sometimes... Usually cycling the screen on and off a few times seems to work.
I ended up ripping off my brand new BestSkinsEver thinking it might have been the cause!
Same here. In my case, i am using PIN and sometimes it lags out while trying to enter my pin and i have to press power button to lock it and try again.

I have the same problem, and I think i have found a way to replicate the issue.
1. Turn off the screen.
2. Wait around 5 seconds.
3. Put three fingers on the screen at the same time.
4. And without moving the fingers turn on the screen.
At this time the touchscreen doesn't respond or it has some kind of lag and you have to reunlock the screen to make it work again.
Can anyone test this?
Sorry for my english.

This way the lock screen is unresponsive but I feel that it is not the same issue.
The lag I usually experience with the bug is more like the phone doesn't wake up properly and can't handle the input in (real) time
PS. I had this on my 8 GB model (sold) and 16 GB model
I just found out that the power button hangs up during phone calls both with headset plugged in and without.
It's disabled in accessibility settings - I tried enabling it but doesn't change anything. I have also tried rebooting.
I don't know when this behavior started so I can't quite pinpoint the culprit.
I'm rooted, TWRP recovery (AutoRec), stock rom D802 20d with custom kernel (latest dorimanx kernel).
I think it might be the kernel but I'm not sure.
Your help will be greatly appreciated
Go to phone app then setting and there should be an option to end call with power button, another way to enable it is by getting your screen cracked and the phone somehow knows it's broken and ask if you would like to enable the feature (it happened to me when my phone fell and screen got damged)

Thanks again for your help. Alas, that setting is also disabled. I tried both enabling it and then disabling it again. Neither were successful.
Do you know if a kernel can cause this? Or might it be the rom? I'm considering trying cloudy, but from what I've read I won't receive updates to Google Apps through Google play. That sounds annoying :-/
Simple question, but I'm pretty much stumped..my boyfriend and I both have s5's, only mine is g900v (verizon) and his is g900a (att). His lock screen is secured by fingerprint, and he has the "lock screen after 10 minutes after screen turns off" checked, as well as "automatically lock screen with power key" checked. Now, I have the exact same options checked on mine. However, when he turns his screen off and back on within those 10 minutes, his lock screen is swipe. If I do that on my phone, it goes straight to whatever screen I had on before turning it off.
Anyone know what I'm missing here?

Fellow searcher for this function, im actually on an att model though lol. It seems to be hit or miss from what ive seen, and i havent found any way to enable it, i had it for a short time on stock and on the rom i was running, but no longer have it now. I'll let you know if i ever figure this one out.

Just thought i'd add some info, i was on the dynamic kat rom, and this feature was present in version 3.0 which had an NG2 base, and after the update to 4.0 there was a rebase to NI2 and it was gone. I asked the dev, and he said it had to do with it being a ZH firmware, and that it was an XX feature, he's referring to the letters in the firmware i'd assume, G900F XX UING2. Thats as far as ive gotten though, he said he planned to rebase to a ZH firmware and then discontinued the rom before that happened.

hello
i have note 4 n910c with 6.0.1
My screen doesn't automatically time out if I press the home button or the power button to turn on my screen. In order for the screen to turn off, I have to manually press the power button. Otherwise, the screen just stays on and drains my battery !!!!!
I should also note that if I receive notifications, my screen lights up and I have to either dismiss the notification or manually turn off the screen.
i downgraded to 5.1.1 it worked for few days then the same issue again
i formatted my device and flashed most recent stock rom 6.0.1 again few days and the same problem screen not turn off automatically
any solutions?
by the way when i use smart manger and end all RAM applications screen turn off work good immediately then after few minutes not turn off again
You can try widgetsoid app, that haves a big list of toggle widgets, and no lock screen is one of their widgets.

Confirmed same issue here. Also same issue when using s-cover. Very annoying. Now that I've trained myself to manually turn off the screen, I'm getting much better battery life than I was with LP.

It would be helpful if you told others what the app was, so that they can try your solution when they come across this thread...
