I've seen in some ROMs the option to adjust the brightness -5 to +5 even when set to Auto from the Status Bar option, where I have to enable that?, thanks
Only international based Roms have that

Thank you, currently I am using Mint Jelly 2.1 who is based on I9505 BMEA and it doesn't have it, I'll check with Nottach.

Does Rasbeanjelly have brightness slider? I really like this feature and use it more often than i thought i would, now i can't live without it. can anyone out there using rasbeanjelly share a screenshot or just in words what kind of notification customisation options are available? thanks
No slider I'm aware of, just an option to toggle different levels of brightness in the notification bar.

Could it be used as a daily driver?
Thanks

I mean the AOKP style slider, but this should work. Is there a theme out there which has a percentage to indicate the brightness? I use to have one of these but then I lost it.

No. It has the cm brightness slider. And I don't think there are any mods that add a percentage to it.

I've been using it for just over a month trying both Franco's kernel and the trinity kernel with very little time on the stock kernel. I've had three crashes in the last three weeks. Two of which may have been my fault for not fixing permissions after flashing a new kernel.
Edit: fixing Sig in text issue.

And as YOU can see it has ROM control which is part of AOKP not CM and rascarlo only uses CM code which means no part of AOKP is available.

it has nothing to do with ROM control. this theme is built with the t-mobile theme engine, so in theory it works on any rom with that feature: pa, cm10 and most other roms. all i am doing is a proof of concept, it is achievable, even though most themes dont have them.
give this a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655946
I was just wondering if I need a touchwiz based ROM in order to sync with my fitbit. It says the gs4 is compatible but it won't sync with my aokp rom. I'm guessing because of the bluetooth differences?

that is weird, dude. i'm gonna do some searching around...
EDIT: you're not alone. apparently there isnt the software support from the manufacturer for non-stock firmware yet.

It requires bluetooth 4.0 low energy which the gs4 has. Apparently the stack that Samsung uses in touchwiz works. I don't see why googles wouldn't.

Super lame. I guess your options are using one of the Stock-based roms or maybe just use Nova launcher over stock to get the aosp look you're going for.

They just updated the app for google edition 4.3
I just got a fitbit and I love LIQUIDSMOOTH.
I will be Syncing on my PC and tablet till they get all of 4.3 figured out. Haven't been impressed with the development of Google edition ROMS.

Hey, so I found this reddit thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1ol2g8/fyi_using_a_modified_fitbit_apk_you_can_now/
They link to this xda thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46041881&postcount=26
It is basically a modified fitbit apk that makes it work on more devices. If someone with a fitbit who is currently running a ROM like CM or AOKP could try it out and see if it works that would be awesome.
Is there a way to control the screen's saturation without having to go back to Samsung's ROM?
The screen is really over-saturated and unnatural. I'm used to the "Movie Mode" that comes with Samsung's ROMs.
I'm using CM11 (4.4). Not sure which exact ROM it is because I've installed it using CyanogenMod Installer and then updated it from the phone.
I'm guessing not. Thanks for the help everyone.

I think no one has answered because its a silly question.
In your phones display settings there is an option called screen mode, this changes screens saturation.

No unless if someone ports CM colours
EDIT: I believe that there is a market app that adds a filter to make it seem less saturated if that is what you were looking for

You're kidding right?
It's in the settings of Stock Samsung ROMS!
Screen mode is in settings and you can choose between various modes which CHANGE YOUR SATURATION!
it can also be done on many many AOSP ROMS and custom kernels.
So YES the answer is YES YOU CAN

Oh my bad
Is there an alternative to LGs KnockON feature on their phones that let's you tap the screen to wake the device, that will work on the S5? Is that something that can be ported or has it already happened?
Thanks.

Look in the custom kernels developer threads, taptowake has to be enabled within the kernel.

I think as long as there is no modded kernel out there in space you're unlucky to take control over the stock one ...

Ok...but im pretty sure that your settings wont stick after reboot and voltage settings are not available, or?
Thats -for me- the main reason to install a tweaked kernel and a control app ?

Yes. After reboot settings are losed but is easy to reconfigure.
Voltage isn't available with this app, i think that is a kernel restriction related.
