From MGA to 4.3

Hey guys ihave MGA with some tweaks and removed bloat...I live in romania and my carrier is rolling the last 4.3 update ..should I flash official and get the ota??..I dont really use root that much..tx

Don't upgrade yet. If you do , you will have to settle for a full stock experience or void your warranty.

you can try the echoe rom , based on what i have read in its form , it s pretty solid. Anyway if you have the old bootloader keep it for now .

[HELP] I9505 Cant make calls, record/play audio or video and freezing

Cant make calls, record/play audio or video and freezing after installation of some offical firmwares with odin.
So my phone was sim locked on EE uk I unlocked it but I had problems with the network so I tested to flash different firmwares with odin but now my phone doesn't work anymore.
Can anybody help me?

How u unlocked it?

I bought the unlock network code(NCK) from the internet

Ur phone is in bootloop? Give me more details

No.its gooing normal boot but the time that I downgraded the firmware from 4.3 to 4.2.2 I cant make calls cause the dialer freezing and crashing.media codec doesnt work(cant play. record audio or video)

Here is the problem. You cant come back from 4.3 to 4.2.2. Now u have to install again 4.3 for have it all ok again :highfive:

I reflashed 4.3 again but I have still the same problems

- Dial *#1234# and make a screenshot (Home button + Power button)
- Conect it to Kies 3 and make other screenshot pls

Is that a recovery mode?

galaxy s4 camera problem

hey all
before starting off i want to tell you guys that i have searched for related articles before opening a new one. but non of it all relates to my problem
i had 4.3 stock pre rooted from djembey bexause my wifi didnt work. the rom worked perfectly but after a while all of thw sudden my camera stopped working. i cleared the apps cache and forced closed it. it worked. but after rebooting andd trying the front camera it didnt work again.
now i installed 4.3 stock from samfirmware and did a full wipe and all. and the problem is still there...
please help me.

What error do you receive? Does it force close or u see a black screen or what?

sorry for forgetting to tell. it freezes on a black screen. and sometimes a camera failure error. i can just quit the app by the homebutton

It is the official camera application. Flashing this will rule out the possibility of software issues.

If it doesn't work, then it probably is a hardware problem and you will need to go to a service center in that case.
Flash the package from recovery.
Make a backup first.
Don't hesitate to hit the thanks button.

cant find a way to install it through recovery. external storage doesnt work. fromcache doesnt work.
external storage said cant mount /sdcard.
cant find to install from internal storage.

Install a custom recovery like cwm or twrp first.

It is easy to tear down the galaxy s4 camera. So you can try to use a new camera or a camera from others' S4 to test whether the hardware has problem or not.

He is not even rooting his phone and you expect him to tear open up his phone? -_-
Frankly speaking, I will NOT recommended him to do it himself as he has no experience of it and will most definitely destroy his phone in the process.

Yes.He can try to rooting his phone. But it is really not a hard task to open up the S4. I don't think that will destroy the phone.

just updated to 4.4.2. problem still persists.

Help

I am on Stock 4.4 after i updated it i am getting no wi-fi and Network signal. I have to turn the display on to get signal. So i am not getting any call or WhatsApp msg.
My phone is not rooted. Please help me...

Yes but it (network, wi-fi is connected but it sends bo data) often don't work till i turn the display on. I recieve all things After i unlock the Display

But then i will have probs with the csc bcoz i have done that with my s3 mini and there OTA not working

[i9500] Play store apps isn't working

I did a nandroid backup after I just rooted my phone. So now I am running a custom rom and I decided to go back to stock android. So I flash the nandriod backup and it rebooted with no problems. But when I unlock the fone it said unfortunately Gapps have stop working and these pop-ups are coming up like every 2 seconds. So I just decided to wipe and factory reset my phone. So I did when it was finish I went through the process of setting up my phone and when I download Instagram the app keep crashing like I would be on it for like 2 mins and a pop-up would come up saying unfortunately Instagram has stop working. It even says it when I tried to post a picture. And when I download whatsapp also and i try to change my profile picture it keeps crashing.
I think it's something with the play store or something. Please help

I flash the new gapps and it didn't work. I think it because I am on stock android the gapps didn't work. But if I was a custom ROM it would have work.

Okay I have a question, I think I found my firmware but the country is Trinidad and Tobago and I live in the Grand Cayman islands. My carrier is locked to lime, if I flash this firmware would I still be able to connect to lime which is my mobile data carrier?
