Hi,
I recently bought this USB OTG adapter (Delock 65296):

Sadly, the device doesn't recognise anything I try to plug it in with. I installed Stickmount, didn't help. The same happens on my phone.
Any suggestions?
Pins 4 and 5 need to be shorted for Otg to work. That one is not compatible with our device.

If both your tablet and phone cannot recognize anything when plugged in, than it's most likely something to do with your cable.
Also, I know you say it's an OTG adapater, but the photo looks like it could just be an adapter. There is a difference between an OTG cable and a micro USB to USB adapter. I tried searching for the Delock 65296 but I could not get anything in English. From the looks of it, though, that might just be an adapater.
Wich kernel ???
All kernel haven't OTG capability.

Franco on the N7, nAa on the Xperia. I probably bought only a reduction, gonna try buy something with USB OTG written in the specs.
Thank you for clearing up.
You can follow my link if you want to mod one or go to that thread which I have links to cheap one from eBay or amazon.

I saw a image & link for this somewhere here either in the Q&A or
Accessories, can't seem to find it anymore.
Just wondering if anyone seen it or has a product link.
I did search for a few days now with no luck.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is this what you're looking for? At least it's a left angle. http://www.amazon.com/T-Flash-Adapt...e=UTF8&qid=1344446853&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+otg

Thanks for replying Whiskey_Tango. What I'm looking for is actually just an adapter and no cable, it looks like my quick drawing i did before work this morning.
When i first saw it a few weeks ago now, i forgot to bookmark the page and then never was able to find the post again.
any one that seen the post have a link or product link? Please post it if you do.

Haha thanks.
Recently i bought the otg host adapter below, using it with a new SanDisk CruzerFit. Works great, however i wish i could find the adapter in my drawing again, it's be smaller and not hang so far out.

Decided since i can't find the post again that I'd just try to make micro otg host myself..

I've got this old lyra media player that has quite a lot of music on it that Id like to save.
The battery is goosed so I've taken the hard drive out but have no idea what type it is.
My plan was to get a sata to whatever it is adapter.
I have attached photos of the drive. I am holding an ide cable next to it and as you can see it is too big.
Hope someone can help.

Ohh man I miss my lyra. Yours is newer than mine was. 250 bucks with a whopping 48mb compact flash card and a monocrom screen. But this was in 1998 mind you. I was one of two people in my town who had one. And its not a small town. But not metropolis either.
You brought back some memorys sir

I'm in the USA
where are those who got the usb 2.0 located in the world?
----------
to be honest, i hate the usb 3.0 plug..it has 2 prongs and is annoying to plug in....so i went back to using my usb 2.0
Morocco, we got 6 months screen warranty and a 16gb SD card, and USB 2
We didn't get any SD cards in the USA

On the nexus 4 it needs to have a separate power supply from the device. The device itself can't power it.
Edit, here's a good description of what you need

i have a Nexus 2012 with Timur USB ROM and have an OTG cable connected to it for power and a 3.5 mm jack running to my aux input in my 2010 Kia forte. can i use a USB hub, plug in adapter in link above, and run the aux cable from there? i have a semi permanent setup and it shows two cables running from my Nexus and i just want to have the USB cable only and not two cables

yes. that should work. The pins for dock at the bottom also have an audio interface
keep in mind charging will be slower if you run it thru a otg hub
