[Q] LG E400 KDZ update issue - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried to load old stock of LG E400, however, it gave me some error at final stages. Now, the phone is working except two issues:
1: The USB is not working at all, neither for charging not for data transfer i.e. the phone is not detected on computer.
2: The graphics are not good as it should be. I guess its operating at 8bits or so.
I tried Voume Down, Home key and power, but no help by resetting it to default.
I tried Volume Up, Home and power, but i don't know how to proceed once it shows notice screen. I am not sure how to proceed or restore a new stock ROM or load a custom ROM since the recovery is not installed nor the device is rooted.
The current ROM is V10b.
Please help!

graphic error is sometimes because of firmware incompatibility with new released phone if im not mistaken
about your phone not detected
have you ever tried to uninstall the driver then reinstall and make sure that you enable usb debbuging
and if the debbuging works then i suggest you upgrade to other latest firmware because v10b is too old

Thank you for replying. I did tried uninstalling and installing, it did not help. However, I tried flashing 10E and it helped in fixing the USB issues. However, my graphics still not fixed, even i tried installing a custom ROM but still graphics are not fixed
EDIT: V10F fixed the graphics problem in the stock ROM however, in the custom Rom, its still not working. Trying V10H stockrom and trying to install the custom ROM to verify.

I have LG-E400f-V10f as a baseband version, and I rooted successfully with spectrum.
@amjadakmal, what error did you receive in the final stage of KDZ-Flasher?
What version of KDZ-Flasher are you using?

My phone keeps telling me to install ls980zv7_01_to_zv8_13. Whenever I say yes, it reboots, but as far as I can tell the update doesn't install and after a few days the update notification pops up again.

Same problem
I'm having the exact same issue, and my phone is rooted too. I've done the update profile that it tells you do to prior to install, but it doesn't install. Phone reboots, upgrade animation starts then quickly just goes to the home screen and still running 4.2.2.
I haven't found any fix yet...

Still nothing. I even tried unrooting my phone to see if it was a root issue breaking the update. Even with everything back to stock the upgrade fails.... Frustrating! I'm starting to look at custom roms to get to 4.4.2 at this point as I can't find any fix.
You might have to revert to stock to lose root before the update can apply. Do you have a custom recovery installed?

No custom recovery. All I did was root it, I tried unrooting with no success. I may try doing a full factory reset, but not sure if I want to go through the pain of resetting it up again... :good:
If I get bored and try it sometime I'll post my results.

Brilliant! Took almost an hour to go from flashing the firmware, to applying all the granular updates (3 of them) to get to 4.4.2, but it did work. :good:
Doing a restore from backup & restore does not fix the issue just as a fyi to anyone else having this issue.

Sprint LG G2, home key not working, screen not locking, no notifications

I recently updated to KitKat OTA a few days ago, I flashed the hotspot mod (although it didn't work) And I have TWRP installed. Aside from that I haven't touched any system files. The home button does nothing, it flashes and causes the phone to vibrate upon press but doesn't actually DO anything. I am not getting any notifications at all, my phone will vibrate but the notifications will not appear. Also, I have it set to lock with a PIN. But it doesn't lock, I'll lock it, wait, unlock it and it won't ask for the pin it'll just be right where it was when I locked it. Please could someone help me? It was working fine earlier, except the Play Store kept giving "No connection" so I restarted my phone and then all of these issues arose. Please could someone help me?
Edit: considering trying a factory reset through the settings, would this be safe considering I am rooted with TWRP installed?
Edit2: I'm trying to flash a stock Jellybean image using LG Flash tool. But the tutorial is telling me I need to go into device manager and set the COM port to 41. The problem is device manager isn't showing any com ports at all. I have the drivers installed and they worked fine before all this happened. The computer also doesn't recognize the phone's internal storage. Could I try flashing it without setting the COM port? Or could someone help me set it?

After installing the the hotspot mod it didn't work and issues started arising so my question is did you remove the mod after you knew it didn't work? Also about you flashing stock, there is no way to do it without switching the com port to 41, if you don't change it the flash fails at around 49% or so, have you tried switching usb ports?

I have not tried removing the mod, as I'm honestly unsure how. I deleted the backup I had made because no issues had arisen and it took around 2 gigs of space if that was needed to remove it. I'm going to try more when I get home soon and hope I can get the COM port to appear under device manager. I could see the hotspot mod causing issues with connection, since it affects USB connection. Is there any way I can remove it without a backup? Really shouldn't have deleted my backup..
EDIT: Got it working, guess it had to be in download mode to set the port and I just missed that part Working on the flashing now.

well for future reference a backup should be stored in the pc for the future because it's one of the ways to go to stock before you started modifying files, and yea download mode very important

Hey guys, i'm having this exact same problem, i'm not rooted and would like to know how you got it fixed exactly.

[HELP]com.android.systemui stopped

Hello, Xda friends.
I'm a new user of LG G2 and I've been using the cloudyflex ROM for about 2 months but today really need your help to fix my lg g2, I don't know what is going on with it and I tried everything I learn't to fix it but didn't work out. Hope you guys can help me. :crying:
On june 17th I flashed on my LG G2 the cloudyFLEX 2.4 and enjoyed a lot, but I also wanted to try the CyanogemMOD to choose which one I would preffer. I created a backup , flashed the cyanogemMOD and Gapps. It worked well but I decided to restore the Cloudyflex 2.4 because I like all the features like multitasking and the 4K camera. After restoring I restarted the phone and it worked really well. Then I turned it off and went to bed.
In the morning I turned it on to listen to music while going to university and I wasn't working anymore, it says "com.android.systemui stopped" I'm not sure if it says like this in the phone because I'm Brazillian and my phone is in Portuguese.
I tried to hardreset it but it simply doesn't work. When I do that sequence to start the hard reset the mobile restarts instead of getting in this mode.
So I realized i could get in the download mode, so I tried to upgrade the mobile but when it finishes the problem continues.
I also tried to to the Offline update but when I press "normal web upgrade test" and "upgrade start" I receive a message saying " Install CSMG B2C cleint tool" but there is no step asking me to install it (Also checked the xda thread when people had this problem)
And then when I start the LG tool it says I'm not connected to the internet, but it's not true...
PS: I can access my internal storage when the phone is on and connected to the PC.
With all this information, does anyone know how to fix this and make my phone work again?
My phone is a LG G2 D802 and It seems I lost the root and TWRP because of this.

Guys I bring you some news
I tried on another PC and know I started recovering it, but noow it says my smartphone is not connected on PC but it is, I tried on download mode and turned on but failed on both situations.. Can anyone help me??
THX a lot guys.
That's ok guys, I just fixed the Phone

"Camera error please restart camera"

I am on stock rom and rooted using the Super SU method. The only things I've flashed are the wifi fix, and edited build.prop to unlock tethering. My camera app will not open, and I get this error every single time. Doesn't work in instagram, snapchat, nothing. Anyone know what may be causing this?
Anyone? I would really like to get my camera working again

Camera still doesn't work
your cam may be disconnected from the motherboard. try claiming warranty
Wiped and installed the AOKP ROM and that fixed it.. Could've been the ROM or could've been the wipe, although I wiped several times before and it didn't fix it.
did you get the error again?
I had the same problem and I installed AOKP rom which fixed it at the beginning but after less 1 day the error back again.
now I'm on stock rom .35 (rooted with Magisk) and no camera error so far after 4 days
As far as i know, it is due to custom kernel, you may have installed that.. try flashing stock rom without any custom kernel..

yes, I had custom kernel first time I got the error.
but then I got it also with custom rom.
now I'm on stock rom and stock kernel....but does it mean that I can never flash custom rom/kernel because of that error?

Custom roms do not have that error... and on stock rom you can use elementalX 2.0 , it is made for the .67.. so the camera issue is resolved.. i think this will help
I had this error on Stoneware .67 (stock based ROM) and resolved it by dirty flashing Stoneware and Magisk v.13 again.
and I had this error also on AOKP rom
I have been having this problem on the Stock ROM, non-rooted, for quite some time now. I have no idea what's causing this error. When I open it sometimes, it just throws an error. If I close it and open it again, it works as it should. It's very annoying.
I had the same thing, flashing roms didnt fix it so i flashed stock via RSD lite and everything was back to normal.
Same issue here, completely stock unrooted. This is not the first Android device I've had that's struggled to connect to the camera consistently... how hard can it be?
Can people getting this error try to disable the image stabilisation in video mode please? One of the errors I see when downloading a bug report refers to the stabilisation code and I've not had the "please restart camera" message since switching it off. Could be coincidence though as it's not like I get it every time the camera loads...
Hello ,
I tried rooting my Moto G5 using Moto G5 toolkit (flashing superSU). t
Then I flashed TWRP and Flashed the WLAN_CUSTOM
Now i get that generic warning screen of unlocked boot loader however My phone is not rooted. and I cant open camera at all , getting error as " Camera Busy - Camera unable to start. If this happens again, please power off your phone and restart."
Can someone help me fix this camera issue? or just help me to revert back as it was previously no root nothing, I guess this TOOLKIT has some bugs in it.
Any help will be appreciated as I am newbie with this android development.

SM-G900F restarts constantly but only when left idle

I have an unlocked Galaxy S5 from "Three" Ireland (3IE) that restarts many times during the day but only when I leave it idle. Either on its own or while charging.
When its not charging at home, the restarts drain the battery very quickly.
Unrooted, latest stock ROM for this carrier (Android 6.0.1 G900FXXS1CQD1_G900F3IE1CPJ3_G900FXXS1CQA3)
I searched the forum and tried the following in this order:
1. Replace the battery
2. reset factory settings (and reinstall everything)
3. Flash stock ROM using ODIN v3.12.3 (same ROM version)
Nothing helped. :crying:
I didn't reset factory settings (again) after flashing stock ROM since I don't think that will make a difference. Any ideas?

Did you have any custom rom installed before? Try flashing latest bootloader for the phone and checking, if all else fails try a custom rom and see if the problem persists.

No custom ROM while the phone was in my possession. It could have been before I got it (I'm not the original owner) but when I did get it I was on stock and unrooted (at least according to "Root Checker").
Didn't I get the latest bootloader when I flashed the latest stock ROM? I remember seeing the files "boot.img" and "modem.bin" in ODIN.
Also if you have any suggestions for a good custom ROM I'm all ears  (I like bug-free*, speed and battery life. In that order of importance)
* - I know there's no such thing as "bug-free" but you get the idea

Sometimes you have to flash bootloader again separately, specially if it was changed to an later version than the one you are flashing through odin, and I would suggest a custom touchwiz rom which is close to stock but with bloat removed and some speed tweaks maybe for the most bug free experience. But also maybe give stock android roms a try, most bugs should be ironed out.

OK, last night I tried a couple of things:
1. I flashed Slim6 6.0.1.build.2.1 and twrp-3.2.3-0-klte (with wiping) - didn't help.
2. I took the sim card & sd card out - didn't help.
3. I ran logcat from ADB using USB debugging to see if I could get the error before the restart - While the phone was connected and logcat was running, the phone never restarted. Even when the screen timed out and turned off. (I guess the phone doesn't count this as "idle")
oh, and thanks for all the assistance so far
The fact that it happens on custom ROM leads me to think hardware. The fact that it doesn't happen if I keep the phone "busy" leads me to think software. What should I try next?
