Hello I have an Lg E400 And I am planning on rooting it, I have rooted it before but I am planning on installing CYANOGENMOD does anyone know if everything works like wifi I know they have nightly builds but they do not have any recent or stable builds
The last build was posted on 2013-05-05 08:50:12
Also if I successfully Rooted and installed a better ROM will there be a less chance of be bricking it?
Any ROM suggestions?

ROMs suggestions
I installed SDMergE400 Mod by gellmaR & cRaZyByte, which was posted here by f3tus, two days ago. So far so good. It's working pretty well.
I was with AOKP E400M6 (Stable and unstable) by yayakuya for a few months, and both of them where very good and very stable, but because of a big issue with the internal storage (lack of storage) I moved to SDMergE400 Mod, which gave me 1.1GB of internal storage.
It's pretty awesome.
BTW, JellyCast-e400 3.0 by emokeizer was also considered by me because it seems that emokeizer give a great work and effort in it, and it also has the SDMergE400 Mod 1.1GB storage solution, but it seems that it includes way to many apps for me, while I prefer a clean ROM (as much as possible).
Hope I helped you a bit.

Hey guys!
I am running CM7 Typhoon atm.. but I want to try ICS. Wondering if the builds are good/stable enough to be a daily driver? Is it worth upgrading now or wait till later?
Cheers
I think yes, but just for try it. ICS right now for HD2 is very unstable.
Yersterday we had got new version of Typhoon. I've been using it since I bought my HD2.
IMHO
i too am running the newest typhoon and am slightly interested in the new ICS builds. besides it being currently unstable, what other issues are there with ICS? I'M under the assumption that not all apps are compatible with it, or they dont fully function.
i'm all for waiting until everything is a little smoother, and i do follow the progress to an extent. i was just wondering about the current status of where is it now before i'd update.
Already on ICS
There are a few good options...
My requirement was a working camera. This took a little while but the Devs are great and I now have a good camera and working ICS CM9
I decided to try it with the SD build for TyTungs port of CM9.
Is it perfect, not yet, but I have not booted back to CM7 since I booted up CM9.
I am going to wait for one or two updated before going in with the NAND build but the SD build is great if you are using MAGLDR and can run the dual boot options.
Check out this forum for NAND details:

Big Thanks to CyanogenMod and TyTung for all their work
Note: TyTung also was working on a AOSP version of ICS. I am note sure but it looks like he may have droped the AOSP in favour of CM9.
I relly like the CMx OS's and like CM7, CM9 has added CM functionality and options. You can see that CM9 is still being worked on in the menus in that there are a number of place holders in the menu, that do not yet have functionality, but the core ICS4.0.3 is working.
Good luck All,
To my mind there is no good enough ics rom(for today) for everyday's using.
Best was miui 4 works smooth, battery life is good but in my region rom doesn't see sim card...
Dev's have much work to do.
I would definitely suggest trying a SD rom first to get an idea of what it's like.
Hi everyone!
One day i was getting tired (? of using stock rom in my L3, so i decided to try other roms . I rooted my phone, installed CWM and flashed cm9 nightly, of course. but it had various bugs. a friend of mine made a stable version of cm9 with a lot of cool features and i was using it but battery just lasted 1 day! so i was considering to back to stock so then i found LGUI v2 based in stock... i installed it and loved it, it has a beautyful UI and cool features . It had a good battery life but no as good as the stock one .
So i was wondering how will be the L3 with cm7 on it... And i said to myself: why you don't port it??? and aswered to myself : yeah! why not?
Then i started searching for tutorials and guides to learn porting. i've found some and tried .
The first attempt was using the last nigthly cm9 for e400 as base and a stable cm7 for htc wildfire as port. I "ported" it and flashed it to my phone. i rebooted it from cwm adn the lg logo appeared. :fingers-crossed: . then the cyanogenmod bootanimation appeared too!!! i was happy and thinking "i did it!!!" but no. i got a bootloop and an infinite bootanimation . so i made a logcat (i have a lot of them rigth now in the whole computer )
i tried using others stables cm7 for other devices, but it always was the same. bootloop.
i tried using stock rom as base too, but that "portings" didn't pass the lg logo at boot.
i've tried different porting methods but nothing changed...
I'm starting this thread to ask for help. to help me porting cm7 and get a stable cm7 for our lg optimus l3. :cyclops:
If somebody want to help, just answer here. every contribution will be really appreciated :highfive:
I have several logcats, so if you need one just ask me for one! they are free!!! :silly:
Thanks in advance!!!
To start porting a different CM version, you first need the correct sources. I mean, if you use CM9 sources it's not going to work on a CM7 based rom
*EDIT*
Here you got a reference thread, hope it helps

EDIT: Used Framaroot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276) and it seems to have worked fine. Think I am also happy with this stock rom. Sorry for making this post without taking enough time first.
Hi,
Just got an L7 (P700) today and been looking around at Roms but nothing really grabbed me. Installed CWM but then decided to just update to JB using the LG Support Tool.
Firstly I can't seem to find any details on rooting the JB update. Is it just the same "What you desire!" tool or can I not find it for a reason?
Secondly, I can't really find any decent recommendations for roms because the people asking are normally incomprehensible. I would like a rom that is going to be stable with everything working and will not need updating. Ideally it would be CM but any JB rom that is stable I would be interested in. Most of them seem to be in quite heavy development with frequent updates and I would feel I was missing out by not getting them.
Sorry for wasting peoples time with these simple questions and thanks for any responses.
Hi guys,
Does anyone still have this version of miui by Will5 on his hard drive? I can't download it from will5 thread.
It would be much appreciated.
Cheers
I know it doesn't help your problem much, but have you tried CM10.2 yet? It is such a better ROM in every way than any other I've used on my trusty MS2, Will5's MIUI included.
Thanks, but I actually use cm10.1 by Tezet. It's the most stable and smooth (after some optimizations such as disabling a lot of apps in hwa acceleration) for me. Everytime I try cm10.2 from czeshop or englemars I meet some problems like with bluetooth ad2p, some reboots or hangs... they are not enough finalized IMHO. Now I put all my hopes in kitkat
Anyway, going back to topic, I wanted to find this version of MIUI for my other MM2 to check the difference of performance between this good old miui that I really enjoyed back then and CM10.1. But I am afraid that no one hes this version of MIUI on their hard drive anymore
I finally manage to found that latest version of GB MIUI and it's such a pleasure to find it back. It's so much faster than any of the other roms I have tried. I've been on tezet's CM10 for almost a year, but going back to this miui rom makes my phone ultrasnappy! I forgot that pressing the phone button could make the dialer appear in less than 3 seconds... same for SMS and almost everything in the phone!! You click, it appears, period. No waiting time.
I'll still follow the evolution of KitKat, but even kitkat (I've only tried Engle-Mars one) is not as fast and quick responding as this good old MIUI for the moment. I hope dev will manage to optimize them to that level of snappiness!
I would recommend using KitKat. For me it turned out a lot faster than the CM10.x versions :good:
I don't know about the Engle-Mars Version, but the one of Czechop still reboots on me once a day. Featurewise they are both already on par with Tezets last Rom(but faster).
Hi.. so I have been using my LG G Pad 7.0 v400 for the past 3 months and I would like to share my thoughts about what I have been using
My tablet came with stock 4.4.2 KitKat which is pretty good when it comes to features.. But speaking about performance.. It may not be the best out there..
I rooted it and modified it as much as I could.. Deleted so many stock not useful apps and installed Xposed with a lot of modules but it is still not as I expected.. I installed kernel auditor and put CPU and GPU governors as "performance".. It got better but then again.. Not as I expected..
Speaking about CM12.1 (CAF by SultanXDA) it was the best performance experience.. Very fast and smooth and it has almost no bugs at all.. Games are great and everything seemed to be amazing.. But the huge issue I faced was the internal memory.. ART uses so much more money than Dalvic (for example Facebook app is 225 MB in lollipop.. 35 MB in KitKat [on Dalvic]) so I had to go back to the laggy KikKat again..
I didn't try stock 5.0.2 well because it's not 5.1.1 and it has the same internal memory issue.. (same thing about CM13)
I know you can just say use Link2SD and move your apps.. Ok but that's not what I am looking for..
Why don't we have a stable CM11 (4.4.4) with great performance and enough internal memory? It may sound weird since we already have CM13 but I really think that CM11 will be the best experience for our lovely tablet..
Thanks for reading this.. Tell me what you think.. Have a good time
