I have update my P700 using the LG software but not happy with it, and now want to try a few custom Roms.
But first I need to root my phone and install CWM.
How do I do this on a P700 that already has stock P70020d rom installed?????
This was very easy on my Galaxy W

I did search the forum, found a few threads about 20xx but most seem to point to foreign sites/pages, I don't want to flash my phone with an none UK ROM that I can't use

Those are pages usually with ROM, links are to download pages

Bit the bullet so to speak and just downloaded the V20d modded with CWM
Had to use this tutorial to get the update working:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473781
Then download this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41291997&postcount=3936
Then followed this tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31828740&postcount=1191
Once I did that, now have a L7 with CWM and rooted so I can flash some new Roms

I don't think porting SDMergE400 would be so difficult to other L-series. However I have nothing to test on except my good old L3

Help: Rooting LG Optimus L5 II E450

anyone can help me how to root LG Optimus L5 II E450????
Try this apk
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
Or Via TWRP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1825722
If I helped then press thanks
Framaroot is not working to my device but TWRP is very difficult to understand,
do you have the flashtool?
use the twrp porting tool created by yuweng on windows then select manual port, place recovery in the mentioned folder and continue
then flash it via flashtool via putting your device in preloader mode
if you don't know how to put it in preloader mod or anything else then feel free to ask
If I helped then press thanks
u could go to play store n search goomanager
then don't install it but just watch the video there
If I helped then press thanks
your stock rom-http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?mod=Lg+Optimus+L5+II&paese=Tutti&id_mod=23
If I helped then press thanks
i examined it and found its your rom(e450)
interestingly your rom had a quite of similarities with mine
only you have some more additional build settings
you can try to root via my mobile's method

Impactor is simple.

I rooted mine fine with VROOT, a chinese app. It works for most phones I tried with a single click.
root lg e450 / e450f
i rooted my e450f with asian software called shuame. its been 100% successful with 3 of my devices so far.. a little awkward with the program being in chinese but there the option to root the phone still has the word root next to the characters

[Q] Help please :)

Bootloader unlocked...running 4.1.2....but I lost root access. Please help!!
Also, can anyone please suggest a ROM as well...I've been reading on here about Pac, Carbon, CM....this will be my first time installing a ROM so any and all suggestions/assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
It is pretty unusual to lose root access suddenly. Just to be sure. Go on or play store and get root checker to see if u have or haven't got root access.

Since your BL is unlocked, just get the SuperSU .zip off of the Chainfire website and flash it in recovery.

See my post above yours. If your BL is unlocked, all you need to do is flash SU in recovery.
