i'm searching for a week and there are so many version that i don't know what to choose

I`am using the stock 4.2.2 rom and Franco kernel r147 and batterylife and performance is great. Franco also offers good color and sound control. Screenontime is about 5 hours but it also depends on the user setup and usage off course. Btw benchmarks don`t mean anything, real life user xperience is what counts

1. No you don`t have to wipe the device, just flash the kernel and install Franco Kernel Updater from Play and set it up.
2. Rom`s you have to try for yourself, there are plenty AOSP an AOKP roms out there.

I recommend the 4.2.2 Nightlies, these are the latest releases with the latest tweaks and options. You can download and install kernels from within the franco Kernel App from Play. Your device beeing slow can also be caused by ongoing background processes like apps, widgets and syncs that strain the cpu.

after i rooted it deleted all.
1: now the device is fast no lag
2: color setting - i changed the saturation to 119 (all the rest left as is) and the color is just BEAUTIFUL.
3: benchmark the score is BAD (i know you say not important)
do you have any suggestion for improving the device?
things to turn off? calibration? oc?
thanks for all your help

Try undervolting, start with -50mV and if all goes well lower each step with -25mV. Undervolting reduces heat and thermal throtling issues. Just press the thanks button to thank someone that helped you

Look in custom kernel settings somewhere at the botom, there should be something about sound setttings i`am sure. Not on Franco atm so don`t know the exact location. Or look on the Franco kernel thread and use `search this forum`in the top right section for sound control.
Try this kernel, it is modified Franco kernel with Faux sound options http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272140.

Hi everyone.
Currently I've flashed franco.Kernel M1 on my Nexus 4. I love this kernel except for its modified color settings. I prefer the original color settings from the stock kernel and may I ask how can I get "exactly" the same color settings from the stock kernel in franco kernel? Thanks!

Erm unless you clicked on recommended values then it will be the stock colours. If you clicked on recommended settings then you will also be able to find set kernel defaults which is somewhere there.

But I think the kernel default from franco kernel is not the same with that of the stock kernel. The color setting seems to have been modified since certain nightly(r70?). Anyway thanks for your help!
Your right afaik, Franco uses LG presets for default.
Can't help with the settings though, Franco has changed it too many times for me to keep up, and I think some of the needed settings are unexposed.

Just download trickster mod and set the colours to default. You will most probably not notice any difference because like I said when you flash franco the colours are still the stock ones.

trinity kernel, latest, tf4h is the name http://goo.gl/wteFmX
it can be clocked to 1728mhz, but you need a cpu control app for that. its defaulted to 1026mhz when it boots. dont let the 1026mhz scare you, its as quick as many other kernels at 1512mhz
trinity fours xda thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083904&page=2189
just flash over what you have now, dont wipe a single thing! make a nandroid backup in recovery if you want

hi
i've this problem with some kernels.. suddenly some graphical glitches appear in camera and also output picture
i thought it's because of undervolt.. but even overvolting didn't help.. what's the problem?
Like you said I think it's just certain kernel incompatibilities. I had the same problem with Google Maps on AOKP M2 with Ziddeys kernel.
but there are many kernels with problem to me.. and when i asked in their thread, no one had this issue..

Ok, I give it a try. To start it would be good to know what your current setup is. Please post Android version, recovery, rom and kernel.
And in addition are u using an app to tweak the kernel u're using?
tnx dude
this problem exist in most 4.3 rom/kernels.. it's there in all undevolted kernels.. but overvolting won't fix this..
it's weird,, my cpu type is fast.. it should be bear much undervolting..
i've edited twrp recovery.. and using FauxClock

not that easy to say beeing on fast bin chip should allow much undervolting. Obviously you gone to far and getting glitches on camera.
First thing I'd do is clear data and uninstal fauxclock and reflash my current rom (wipe cache and dalvik). Now back on stock kernel (most likely since most roms using stock one) with stock ramdisk etc. I'd try camera and see if it is working without glitches. Then choose the kernel to go and I'd use the related tweaking app (Faux kernel = faux clock, semaphore = semaphore manager and so on) and undervolting step by step checking if camera works in between.
Check your kernel thread you might some posts of how much people undervolted.
A little bit informaion about undervolting can be found here:

By overvolting you mean going over the default voltages? I think this could be indeed result in the same issue as undervolting to much. But just a wild guess and I don't know why to overvolt at all.
Applying the default kernel voltages should solve your issue...does it?

Hi all,
My LG G2 is on stock lollipop at the moment and although I've learned to live with the, now, horrible battery drain + eventual OS laggyness, time has come for me to do something about it. Actually my brother has just updated his LG G2 too, and now he is begging me to help him with the same exact problems.
Has anyone here any suggestions towards a combination of kernel and costum lollipop-ROM, which will bring back normal battery-time like I had in stock KK?
PS. Perhaps I would even need a new modem, because in my experience, the thing draining my battery like crazy is related to the 3g/4g data-connection.

Cloudy G2 3.3 + Dorimanx.

+1 on slimsaber with the kernel it comes with (honey healthy). It is fast and the battery life is amazing with normal use (no games, tweeting, etc). It comes with kernel aidutor which llows for sound control and other tweaks.

OK. For rom can be directly to the thread, as well as for the kernel. Which is important to adjust the choice of rom and kernel, because there are many versions
Could you put exactly your rom and your kernel as well as your tweaks and parameter so that I go something identical please? Thank you very much for your time
This is the ROM. Kernel include in the rom, but if you want to update kernel, you can find HERE.
Carefully select the kernel because there are 2 types. 1 for s7 rom and other for s8 rom

Ur like me and use your screen on very low brightness a lot..8 hours and 1000mah..I use a lot in very dark places and screen can be way too bright..would be good to see screen on time at 100%..that's always the real test..I can get 10hrs on stock with the brightness I typically use

Yes I agree with you. I use 30-40% brightness. Because I am indoors if using brighter feels uncomfortable in the eyes. Btw, this is what i get with the same rom and apps, and the pattern is almost same but with different kernel. Not bad i think, but may not meet what I want
