I have 2 voicemail #'s. I use the Google Voice app for one of the numbers. Whenever someone leaves me a voicemail on the 2nd # I receive an email with a link to listen to the voicemail. It doesn't work meaning I can't listen to the voicemail. Can the GV app have 2 #'s? If not how do I listen to the voicemail for my 2nd #?

When you click on the link to the voicemail, it will save it as mp3 file. Just open the mp3 file to hear the voicemail.

Tablet Talk will do what you want.
Play store I assume?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Yep.
Google Voice is what I use. You use the Google Voice number just like a cell number. Google even gives you a voice mail number.

As far as I'm aware, GV only works in the USA
Apologies for this simple question, as I have tried searching everywhere.. While on a call, I don't hear when texts come in using the stock messaging app and also Whatsapp.. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

This is a good question as my girlfriend just yelled at me beside I didn't answer or call her back. Didn't hear the call or text while I was on the phone.

Good question.....
Anyone? This is my first Nexus device, so I honestly have no idea..

Why would they put that in the first place? It would interrupt the call, If you want you could just check your notifications afterwards.

Well, every smartphone I've previously used (including the att Galaxy S2) would sound off a notification and that way it was easy to check if the message was important and place the phone on speaker while responding.. Our phones can multitask for a reason..
But it's always been available as an option on my previous phones that could easily be disabled for those who prefer no interruptions.

Tablet talk also uses your cell phone number

Cloud SMS has been most reliable for me. He is adding mms support right now. You can email dev and ask to beta test mms. Tablet talk wouldn't stay running for me and I kept missing messages. Google voice has always been horribly inconsistent for me. I just use it to make international calls nowadays.

Mighty Text works just fine for me.
Is there anyway to get persistent notifications? I am using jellybro and my wife is still stock. Neither ROM seems to support the feature.
I want my phone to beep every few minutes to remind me of missed calls and text messages.

Exactly! You are the man! Don't understand why such a basic feature was removed from android. Doesn't seem like I should need an app for this. Thanks a million!

I've had this problem for quite a long time and never been able to play music via voice commands in Google Now. I would say 'play "song title or artist" '. But I would just search what I said on Google.
I have a nexus 4.... Cm10.2 nightly. Canada.

I have always had this problem with Google now. Would be nice if it worked and if it was part of the offline voice dictation. You could try Utter, very functional and customizable voice control. Don't really think a bump was necessary...

I don't believe it even worked when I was on stock ROM. I'm thinking its because I'm in Canada? Maybe these features have only rolled out to the US? Correct me if I'm wrong

Ya i tried both listening and playing commands.
Whats worse is i get my music from online sources since i listen to djs . So the fields of name and song arent correctly filled. Why there is no simple program that can separate or fill the data in automatically is beyond me. Seems pretty easy. Thats the artist and thats the song title
wish i can just say a command and it will play a random song, and then i can give commands to go to next song vocally or something. Was looking into MotoX so i can go handsfree but seems google play needs more updates
