My device does not turn power, push the power button and it does nothing but, hearing that he had a dead boot.
Can anyone help?

Try keeping your device plugged into AC Charger. If it still dosn't do anything when u press power, that means your device is bricked. You killed the bootloader... Provide your device to warranty service, they will fix that.

my phone just simply went useless after a drained battery more or less a week from now... it wasnt like that before until the most recent update from froyo to gingerbread that my phone just doesnt function or power up after connecting the charger... all it does now is.... if you press the power button itself, it vibrates 3 times then the LED blinks orange and thats it.... if you press power + vol. up, it vibrates 5 times and the LED lights up green. and when connected to my laptop with the orange LED blinking, it is recognized as a USB mass storage device. with the green LED on, it is recognized as "android phone'' - ''adb android interface."
i tried adb but always error no device found or list of devices attached empty/blank... can i still revive my phone???? help please......
Did you try power + volume down? That would get you into bootloader. When you are in there, connect your phone to the computer and download a stock gingerbread ROM and place it on your SD. Rename it to PD15IMG.zip Then the phone will recognize the name and update. Good luck. Thanks if I helped
did that alreaDy.... if i press power + vol. down, my phone just vibrates 5x and the LED lights up green while the screen remains black....
Did you put it on life support? lol jk.
If I helped, give thanks, if you please.

Based on what you said, if device is plugged in that adb doesnt recognize it as well as not being able to boot into bootloader I would say that if you are still able to warranty the device with tmo that you better do it soon and let them know that the problem started right after you received the OTA GB update. They shouldnt take any issue if they beleive it may somehow have been caused by them.

I agree.
Here are some other options to try. Use the charger and cable that came with the phone and fully charge your battery (if charged already let it die and recharge). Remove battery for about ten minutes and then retry to boot up. If none of this works then you are SOL. Just take it back to tmo and tell them this occurred after the update like eqjunkie has said.

You said your phone's battery was drained to zero for a week, and after that the device won't start? Therefore it might be a battery related problem. Could you try replacing it with another one? There's a lot of them on the market, and they cost not that much.
Btw Mt4G uses the same battery type as HTC Thunderbolt.
does anyone here encountered this kind of problem and fix it?
last night i turn off my phone and charge it. after an hour i notice that its very hot. in sim card tray area and in memory card tray area. even the front screen suffer from that over heating but the battery didn't heat at all. the first time i try to turn on the device the samsung logo appears but immediately shutdown. then i let the phone cooldown for 4-5 hrs thinking the problem will be fixed. but after i try to turn the phone again nothing really happening. no vibration, no samsung logo nothing at all. and when i try to charge again it via pc and via power plug it's not charging and after 2-3 minutes the my phone is starting to become extremely hot again.
i already tried to press and hold volume down + menu button + power button
volume up + menu button + power button
holding all buttons + power button
removing battery and hold power button for 1 min and put it back again and power button
all that nothings happen.
can anybody here thell whats the problem of my samsung galaxy s4 i9505? i will be extremely grateful for your help. thankyou

Did you used Original Samsung charger? if not that might be the problem.
Your phone is probably damaged internally since you said it overheated.
Go to your nearest samsung store or carrier and ask there. hope your warranty isnt voided yet.
Good luck.
i borrow charger and im not sure if its original or not. im not sure if this still has warranty.
what might be the problem? how much will i pay if they fix my phone?

depends on samsung maybe its for free.
The charger isnt compatible with your device and maybe it overcharged and overheated the device.

just connect your phone to PC and reinstall the drivers on PC... your PC just needs to detect the USB! and then use blank flash as per the link provided! if it gets stuck at waiting for the device, hold the power and vol down for like 5-10 sec...It will work.. i have done it and was able to boot my phone! the only difference is that i was on windows 10! Hope it works!
I'm running Omni rom with eas kernel and just yesterday my phone ran out of battery, and now I can't turn it on at all. At first when I held the power button, the phone would vibrate after about 15 seconds but it wouldn't do anything. Now it doesn't vibrate or show any signs of life at all; no charging led no nothing. If anyone knows a way to get into recovery or fastboot that would be enough for me to flash a new rom but I can't even get it to fastboot or recovery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
What happens when you have the charger plugged in? Is it stock charging cable and brick? Have you tried checking what happens when you plug into a computer? If it is the stock cable check the end of the cable (phone side plug) to make sure there are no burns.
You can try holding the volume-down + power.

It has been charging for hours on the stock cable and brick. There are no signs of burns anywhere, plugging it into the computer doesn't change anything either. The computer doesn't detect that it is even plugged in.
Ran out of battery? Like 1% was left? That's no good. You're never supposed to let a lithium-ion battery get that low. You might have to replace the battery. Just keep attempting to charge it and boot it up again, use different outlets, different cables and adapters, etc. This is a common issue--people are stupid and just let their phones die instead of being vigilant about charging them. And there's plenty of stories about and advice for Android phones that won't turn on after being completely drained of battery life. Google is here to help you.
Did you try what slgooding suggested?
I tried holding down the power and volume down button. I usually don't let my phone die but I went camping and left my phone in my car and I forgot to power it off I guess. Still I've never heard of this happening to anyone else.

This is a real bummer. I would suggest trying another power brick and cable. That may be your best bet. See if it has any indication it is charging.
Try a different cable to charge and press and hold that power button till it boots(2,3, 5min...) it happened to me the other day... I love my LP3 keeps me entertained...lol
A friend of mine has just let me know the power button of her Galaxy A40 is dead. The volume down was already dead so before I provide any advice I'd like to hear from the device owners here. I have zero experience with Sammy myself.
I've already suggested Volume Styles to control volume on screen and Quick Settings to plant a handy shortcut to the power menu in QS. Other tips are most welcome! I've got two specific questions:
When this device is off and plugging in the charger, does the system boot or does it just go to a charging animation?
When this device is off and the volume-up key is pressed while plugging in the charger, does it go to fastboot?
Thanks for reading!
Powered off, charger attached, it charges no boot.
She will need to replace the power button. They all are probably one assembly.

Oh no no no, if that happens then the one that will be replacing that power button will be ME and we don't want that to happen. If she can get to fastboot, she can boot the damn thing on her own
Currently there's no problem though, I'm just wondering what happens if the battery dies or she accidentally shuts it off.

As far as I know the power button is the only way to power it up.
Lol, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it
Watch some vids, it may not be as bad as you think. Sooner or later it's gonna happen...
There's no harm in getting a quote from a local repair shop (hopefully there's a few options for you!). I had someone replace the speaker after it broke for £15/~$17 total.
