I seem to be having trouble uploading good quality pictures to facebook. When I take pictures with the phone (Galaxy S4) they look amazing on the phone. Then when I upload them to facebook they come out very blurry and crappy looking. I thought the phone was the problem so I emailed the pics to my iPhone and computer and tried uploading the pics from my computer and my iPhone and still the pics came out blurry. Could it be that the megapixel is so high that during upload the compression process makes them blurry. That would really suck if that's the case and the phone camera would become worthless. Let me know solutions or if anyone has experienced this problem.

I don't think so, ...here are the 2 different pictures, the first one being the original, the second is the FB version.

I came across a Hero flickr group today, nothing to do with me but I thought I'd post it here as people might be interested or want to post to it...

I've also been experimenting with the camera a bit here, using the FX Camera app as well...

Just goes to prove HTC have a looong way to go before they catch up with Nokia's image processing.
Shame, as its the Hero's only real weak point. A flash would be nice of course, but a camera that takes clear pictures and not photos of JPEG'd mush would be nicer.
yeah I'd like not to do this on fast moving objects, maybe the shutter wont allow it, look at the near and far posts

I kind of like the challenge of getting something interesting with it though I'd still like a better camera.
Hi. Few weeks ago I run into a problem, that my photospheres wont upload to google maps any more. It says "Can't connect". Tried mobile network and Wifi, different Wifi still the same. I can upload spheres to G+, but it converts them into very low quality. Tried uploading same spheres with mine Nexus 7 - the same error.
The devices are not rooter - 100% stock. I feel that it started to glitch after updating the camera to new version, I tried rolling back old camera, but still the error is the same.
Maybe someone expierience something simirlar :silly:

After some tests I realized, that if Photosphere is more that 10 mb of size, its cannot be uploaded to google maps, because of some limits. Its quite stupid, if after Camera update, it is possible to make high quality Photospheres which are more than 10mb in size, but its not possible to contribute them to google.
Can anyone confirm this?
What a joke. Laser auto focus.....ha. This thing takes pics as fast as my old S3. I don't know of there's a setting that's not default or something but a 2sec lag between pics to focus...come on! Any type of seeing I'm missing?
Autofocus is best thing about camera...few days ago I take picture while Iam driveing car about 40km/h and pics was great...

I took a pic while moving also and it looked good. My concern is when you take multiple pics at once it lags between pics to refocus if you move the phone a little.
Hello everyone,
Once I had a sony cellphone with the first 1.3 mp camera and the front camera of S7 Edge reminds me of that picture quality. Is anyone experiencing same thing? Any work around for it?

Hello. I see this is an older thread. Yes, I see that the camera is a little bit more washed out than compared to other phones. I've personally been looking for a solution since everyone says that it's the greatest shooter out there.
Look at this sky shot:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And the wall on this shot:
I recently found the option in the Pro mode that says: Vivid, which makes the colors a bit more natural (which is ironic, since the phone itself is washing out the colors! Lol).
Have you found a solution? I have my third and final S7E coming today - if this one doesn't work out, I'll try another device. The camera is the MOST important feature for me, especially when paying this kind of money.

now that i have a real decent camera phone, it s time for me to test it vs a real camera
so with a friend we went for a test, and at the end, i think the mate 9 do a really good job!

Although impressive, there is still a clear advantage from the Sony Mirrorless camera. Not even close in my opinion. Camera phones, although getting better, is still far behind DSLRs or Mirrorless cameras. What camera phones are allowed to do today is provide like-DSLR quality pictures in small compact formats to image sharing sites like Instagram or Facebook. But its nice to see how much the camera on phones is improving every year.
being able to do longpause pictures at day time is simply amazing
