I don't know either.
I love my NS, in just about every way shape and form but the feel of how solid my N1 was, cant beat it
an BTW any way you can kinda shorten up your sig, maybe make it longer width wise
Cant even compare with N1. if N1 had 4'' SAMOLED, I would even look at NS. Ton of thought was put into N1, and yet ZERO though in NS (just plain Galaxy-like phone).
I like it's design and build a lot better than any HTC phone, I'll give it that.
That being said, I'll be getting a Droid Incredible HD when it comes out on Verizon to replace my OG Droid. The Incredible HD is probably the only HTC phone with a design/build that isn't just 'Meh' (or 'Ew') to me.

I just bought a Nexus S and think my Droid is betten than my Nexus S. Why?
Because that points:
1) No led notification. Can't live without it.
2) Call sound and Speaker louder in Droid.
3) Can't remove the back easly to put another battery.
4) If it falls for sure it will broke.
5) It's expensive. Not worth the change.
6) The Cell signal is better in Droid.
7) THe size doesn't fit well in hand.
8) I really like more the screen of Droid. Nexus's screen you can see the dots.
9) There is no original acessories like we had with Droid. I owe two batteries, external charger, car mount and car charger, all original. The Droid car mount is amazing.

First of all, you are comparing two devices on two different carriers based on signal. And unless you mean original droid, you're being ambiguous as well. Not sure why a notification LED is a make or break feature when you can easily just wake the phone and check. I've never used a droid but the call quality on my NS is better than on any other phone. Taking off and replacing the battery panel on my SNS is much easier than on my Epic or my Evo. I've dropped my SNS multiple times and it doesn't even have a scratch. $520 is pretty on par for modern top-of-the-line phones, again if you're comparing it the original droid that is an unfair comparison as it just came out whereas the Droid is old hat. Can't compare different carrier reception and blame it on a phone, that is just ridiculous. The SNS fits in my and my wife's hands great. My wife has tiny hands compared to me and she couldn't use my Epic or my Evo but she loves the SNS. Basically, I doubt you've every actually handled a SNS and are just trolling.

Sorry but I really think so.
I had a Droid, then a Droid X, and now a nexus S. The Nexus S is far better than the Droid. Just because it is made of plastic doesn't mean it is fragile. I have no case at all and I have dropped it several times and it is fine. This phone runs circles around the Droid. I do miss the notification light occasionally but everything else is SOOOO much better on the Nexus S!

Am I getting trolled?
1. I've found I can live without it, I don't miss it.
2. I've found the call quality to be amazing compared to every other android phone I've owned. (Moment, Evo, Epic, Hero every sprint android etc.)
3. Battery life is amazing so far, but I've found the back easy to remove.
4. Valid point, but don't all phones stand a chance to break when dropped?
5. Depends if your on or off contract. I will never waste money on a non-stock android phone again.
6. I don't know if its T-mobile being better than Sprint, but this phone has the best signal ever. I get great service in places where other people have next to nothing, even with other T-Mobile phones.
7. Yes, it is big, but that will vary per person, my hands are big and its just right.
8. Valid complaint, I like Smoled alot, the colors and blacks are amazing, ebooks are a bit meh.
9. Valid point. The phone brand new, but I really don't see alot of companies jumping to make things for it, it probably won't sell well.
The only thing I miss is a keyboard, but I've become very good at typing on the 2.3 keyboard, and its great so far.
But about all points the most annoying me are:
1) Lack of light notification.
2) The big pixels in the screen and color super saturated.
3) The battery. It has a little more juice but still not enough for heavy use.
you fail sir.
Hyperlink everything you just wrote to a rickroll video.... and we will all get rickroll'd.

A verizon droid.... amazing he knew how to log into XDA
Picked this phone up for the wife last night, finally converted her from her blackberry curve....yuck. Pretty good phone, screen obvoiusly not my epic but perfect for her. Very snappy, first thing i noticed was when you pull the notification menu down, there are no toggles there which i though sucks since im so used to it. havent tested out the camera yet, it is super thin, damn near just the size of our screens, so if you could take off the keyboard.
The back of the phone looks exactly like the leaked pictures of the "Epic Touch 4G" and it is a really nice addition, good grip, looks good, and wont scratch.
She is in love already, ill post up here after a couple days on the battery.
i thought it looked like a good little phone. as for the buttons on the top of the dock most of them are replicated with the power widget
I would like to add, Notification Toggle in the Market is a great app to add the switches in the pull down.
I wanted to check this phone out for my daighter, I bought her an LG Optimus S and she wants to upgrade. Thanks for the insight

Im married, I choose my battles wisely, not to mention at least she will get to play with this one before i do since there is -Zero- community for it at the moment, the Nexus i would have probably "had to take with me to work so i can make sure everything is working correctly" he he he he.
Also, i wanted to make sure that she had a lesser of a screen for better juice, the girl is a facebook nut, and im sure will have a million things constantly updating, i already got yelled at for lowering her screen timeout to 30 seconds from a min.
I'm still trying to convince her that i really need to keep my dirtbike since its a great workout.....ill let her pick the phone.

I bought my gf a LG Optimus T. They have CM7 on there and the phone rocks with that done to it. It also gets great battery life with some custom kernel and OC. Might want to look into that before you upgrade her phone for her.

Aye. Got a Droid 2 Global for my wife, for that same LCD screen (and battery savings). Her phone is completely stock and her battery lasts 2x longer than my Epic.

SRobby -- Thanks for your review/comments about the Conquer 4G. I've been thinking about upgrading to this one as well, and right now Sprint is offering it for free online with a new 2-yr contract. Since I'm on a budget and can't really afford a snazzy top of the line upgrade, FREE is pretty attractive right now.
Any updates on the Conquer's performance after your wife has been using it for a few months? Has she been noticing any issues?
Is anyone coming to the One from Nexus 4? If so, why?
I went from Nexus 4 to HTC Droid DNA last Saturday (going back today) to this HTC One.
I like this much better. Sound and responsiveness are better to me.

How do you like the Sense compared to the stock N4?
I prefer stock, but the new version of Sense really isn't bad. It does not slow the device down like their previous versions did.
I just got my HTC One from AT&T,coming from a Nexus 4. I have to say this is the only phone I could have switched from. The build is superior, new sense isn't bad although I prefer stock JB. But the keyboard is alsoa pleasant surprise on the One.

My Nexus 4 is going on ebay next week. Most overrated phone. I still have my white GNex so I will still get the updates.
Had my HTC one now since became available, moved from N4, still have N4 but so far not been tempted to go back. New sense is pretty good, would like to turn blink feed off but its not intrusive to be an issue. Sound quality is much better through my head phones over the nexus and camera is better. More storage is a bonus too. Over all a much better phone even better if came with untouched android. Main reason I changed is I'm a tech junky and like HTC kit been waiting for them to bring out something of this quality.
Now a Nexus like this... Yes please!

This will most likely be my plan as well. I actually ordered the 32gb from HTC last night. After selling my N4, I'll be down about $250 which I'll just consider as an upgrade cost. If the N5 follows the same pricing structure as the 4, I should be able to break almost even when selling/buying.
Hi all, I m on N4 right now and I do like it a lot, will probably give KLP a spin then watch if some CM and co are around on the One, then I ll get rid of it.
My question is regarding the battery?
I know, I know, everyone is different, but the personal habits should more or less carry between phones for one individual, right?
So please give me your impressions regarding this?

From what I've read, the battery life is similar to the N4. One of the reviews also said the One has a really good standby (screen off) battery life, but someone who actually has it will have a better opinion.
Given sufficient funds, I would strongly advise to get the One over the N4. I really hated screen responsiveness, camera and the weird feeling of the glass back. And the speaker on the N4 can't even be compared to the ONE. And Sense has really made a big step forward. As all the others, I like a stock experience, but can completely work with Sense 5.0 in a satisfying way.

Well, N4 is also quite good if I don't use it, but as soon as screen is on, the percentages fly away quite quickly. For example I use my N4 to read a lot, which is not very ressources intensive, but really the battery is going fast!
I m not trying to start an argument, I m simply curious

I think the speaker will be my favorite change. If the N4 is in my pocket, I can hardly hear the sound, since the little speaker hole is so easy to get covered up. I'm also willing to get Sense a go, worst case I'll just load a launcher.

Hmmm. Better keyboard on the one (love stock htc over swiftkey or samsung stock)
I prefer the screen on the HTC one as it better suits my eyes, especially under sunlight.
Sense 5 seems more refined to me and looks better overall to me. I appreciate the design esthetics over touchwiz.
Boomsound = No comparison.

Thanks, I am on the fence. Tired of HTC messing with the phone during OTA's for us flashers.
Do want a bigger screen. But, did hear about the bad s4 keyboard. I am not much on Swiftkey either. I have been playing with both at att. Will pay more attn to keyboard. S4 did have great dl speeds in store compared to One right beside it.
Again, appreciate feedback--

Yeah, it started with Note Two and One S. They are making them taller and narrower so they feel better in hand. It doesn't feel like that big a phone when holding it.
I dont think you would be disappointed with either device. But the look and feel of the one, add in boomsound. I'm now running trickdroid Rom with tbaldens HTC logo as menu. Only 2 places I see the s4 being better is the sd slot and removable battery. Slightly larger screen. Htcs screen is big enough for me. 32gb is enough for me as that's all I had on my iPhone. Oh and charging time on this phone sucks really bad. Not sure on the s4
I think charging and batt life is good on the s4. Hopefully an update will cure charging. Yeah, 32gb would work since my One S is 16gb. I get by with it. Would really want 64gb and Black.
My browsing is biggest issue, old eyes. Need to play with One more in that regard--
Yes this phone charges slow. My galaxy S3 was slow as well but not sure it was this slow. I +1 the comment on the slightly narrower screen. I prefer this on the one vs S4. Easier for me to type on, and again this keyboard is probably the best I have ever used on any android device.
