Flash CM10.1 be happy

Don't ROMs come with language options? How about you try flashing it and see if they have language options. I doubt they removed all of the english options.

I did that. But there are several menus at the first boot that are in Spanish. Not the standard gapps setup. Something entirely different. And the play store says incompatible with go backup.

After install new ROM, how do I install Google Pinyin

I really like Google Pinyin - the input method. But after installed a custom ROM, I can't find it on Play Store nor in my app list. Anyone know how to install it back? Thanks

Hi,

You don't have to root.
It depends on the ROM you are running.
That ROM looks like it is one for the Hong Kong / Indonesia region...
Find a UBUAMDK ROM
It is not as updated as the AME1 ROM but it will have the language you seek.
Typically always look for roms close to your region.
ROMS with the UBU code seems to be closes to what you need.
One way of doing it would be with rooting, and unlocking all the languages, etc. But if I'm not mistaken, you can also do it by flashing a stock ROM intended for a Spanish speaking country or even any stock ROM that has Spanish language option. For example I use the ROM for UAE (I9500XXUAMDK) and within the language options there are two Spanish options; Espanol (Espana) & Espanol (Estdos Unidos). Of course you should check that the ROM is for your exact model whether it's GT-I9500 or GT-I9505.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can, since all the applications that make up the OS have been stripped of any other language strings. Adding the language would imply repacking every single app in the system with the appropriate language which is a harsh task that cannot be achieved by simply using a locale program.
I was looking for the same and desisted. It's much easier and faster to flash a custom rom, imho
Hey mate,
Thanks for you answer
