I've tried those but... none worked...
Even I have this device and looking forward to rooting it. But unfortunately none of the methods work.
Dudes, I think this guy knows the answer to our problem, check him out in this discussion, he claims that he rooted LG e435

although there was a bit of problem so... just read it to at least have an idea.
My ROM version isalready v10c which i updated with LG mobile support tool and I tried framaroot apk many times with no success. So I m not sure if installing v10c ROM with KDZ is going to make any difference or not. As someone suggested we need to probably flash a pre-rooted ROM.

A pre rooted Rom is basicly LG stock Rom rooted. I have yet to see anyone saying they have rooted this Rom so my guess is that flashing a pre rooted Rom is basicly not possible. I know it can be rooted wish I knew how.

Even I have this device and my software version is already v10c and framearoot doesn't work for me. So should I flash it with KDZ to make it rootable or the firmware for which the links are given is something special ? I belong to a different country , So should I flash with the firmware meant for my region or the one given in the links in that post ?

What is your firmware version? maybe there is something on the firmware that made it rootable, the version in my phone says that it is "E43510c-CIS-XX" and my stock firmware is "E43510c-SAS-XX" maybe it means that this thing is a different 10c, I also thought that I had the right version and failed with framaroot but with his 10c it became rootable.
Go check if you have the same version as him, if not, flash the firmware using KDZ, don't worry about the region, I guess it won't be a problem.

Does flashing with this method erase all the data ? And apart from installing on externel SD , Are other root apps working properly ?

When you flash a different Rom.it should erase all data. If you have root then everything with root should work. Root is like getting administrative power which is similar to ur windows administrator account.....

When I flashed it, no data was erased, but make a backup, just in case.
About the apps, its good, apps that need root works just fine.

Hey guys,
This is my first post on the forums, anyways, I've searched up multiple sites on trying to root the LG Optimus L7 including this website.
I have tried this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1664322
and tried downgrading to V10a but it didn't work.
Phone stuff:
Model Number: LG-P705G
Android Version 4.0.3
Baseband Version: MSM7227A-1-AA
Software Version: V10c-May-10-2012
Please help!
Read it carefully!
Many members has succeed to root the L7 using method in the first page. V10c India and Indonesian version for model P705 can rooted directly use the rooting tools provided.
Ensure you do it exactly as described there

Have you checked usbdebugging mode? Install from unknown source? Disable LG modem in the PC device manager? Using correct firmware? (v10a europe open or v10 c indonesia).
Important thing! You should push enter while you have seen the locked screen while use LG.L7 Rooting Tools

can we flash this zip from samsum's stock recovery by selection update from external sd card. The Zip file included following files.....(screenshot attached).
I have read somewhere on sammobile you can flash with recovery, but i have practically never did it. and have no idea about it. You can flash it at own risk.
But you must be on stock ROM( I think only on full stock DDLR6). Other thing this update contains Kernel, and by that way putting device on unsafe kernel. and yes wiping will be dangerous too.

Wiping on stock kernel without CWM is apparently safe.
Wait for sammobile or CheckFus to upload the entire Rom. It's better to flash then lest one might get bricked following incorrect procedure.

It is probably safe (said by entropy). So i dont like to advice still.
and after flashing device may not boot properly then you have option to wipe is CWM only.
Otherwise have to follow routine procedure.

Yes you should wait. even sammobile also saying this

other thing this upate having kernel (and may be without recovery, and so i guess if you have non stock recovery won't work any more), so it will leave you unrooted (i still doubt it work on rooted), and on unsafe kernel.
so there are full chances to mess device if you are just away from base ROM(DDLR6)
In sort, leave this for Flashing maniac only. and routine user should wait for regular update,.
will they release LR6 with update integrated ?
this update looks interesting .....

Or is there any way update my phone without changing rom..
Download your region rom from sammobile.com. Install "mobile odin pro" in your smartphone. Copy extracted rom tar file to your phone internal storage. Flash it with installed MOD Pro and you will have updated 4.4.2 rom with root privileges.
I had problems with CSC and force closing keyboard after update. But later solved it by flashing again just "cache" with MOD Pro.

Nothing to do.
You can do factory reset no problem but you might loose root, but just repeat the process in case you do loose root. Be warned though, although quite a lot of people rooted their N900W8 without tripping root, can't exactly say it will be the same for everybody, it might trip it.

If you intend to stay on stock firmware and not flash a rom, then you don't need one. But if you flash a rom made for a N9005, then you will need a kernel made for N900W8/Tmobile in order to make NFC, BT and Wifi work ( also need a patch for the said sensors/signal ).

Welcome to XDA!!
To install custom ROM, you will need to have a S-OFFed device to do so. S-OFFing need hardware tools, and it cost money. XTC2Clip and FireWater are the two known S-OFF tools that work on D820 for now.

If so, why dont you ask that guy from The Mainland forum, he should be the most well known of his own ROM.
Afaik, without S-OFF you can hardly do any modification to the system.

OTA (Over The Air) and flashing ROM are of totally two different thing, OTA came from HTC herself while ROM are created by people like us. So now which one is you proceed to do, OTA or flashing ROM?

Yes, you can search the web with your phone's CID and download the corresponding fw, after that rename the zip according to your phone MID, and place it onto your external SD Card, then boot into bootloader. The fw should be automatically flashed then.

Want to know if it is suitable or not? Use your CID to identify!
A TWRP backup can fix almost everything but not all.

What do you mean:crying:
Ask the questions you raised again in the thread you downloaded the ROM previously. In there, more people will get attention on your problem.
