[Q] Bluetooth Philips Android Dock not found on GS4 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I just got myself a GT-I9505 and am trying to connect to the bluetooth of a Philips Dock AS111.
The problem is that the phone is not finding the Bluetooth of the dock. Neither when just doing a bluetooth device scan, or using the Philips DockStudio app.
I tried my previous Samsung phone (S7652), and it finds the dock just fine.
I then tried to connect the GS4 to the Bluetooth of the car, and that also worked.
So the issue is really between the Philips dock and the GS4.
Anything else I can do or test, other then wait and hope for a firmware update for the GS4 that may or may-not fix it?

Never mind. I forgot to put the GS4 on the dock, and it only enables the bluetooth when the dock is connected.

[Q] Automatically connect to bluetooth

Hey all, just have a question.
I have a liquid aux bluetooth receiver in my car, it plugs into the power outlet and the aux port in my car. It connects about half the time when I turn my car on, but I hate having to go thru the menus to connect it manually.
Is there any way I can have it connect to the car maybe using a widget so it's only 1 click, or any other alternative method I'm unaware of to connect to this one specific bluetooth piece? I don't use a headset or anything, just this 1 piece.
I tried using tasker to automate it but couldn't make it work every time, made it worse in fact.
I guess no one knows then. Anyway, shameless bump

Bluetooth Range

Anyone else having issues with bluetooth devices on the atrix? I use a Liquidaux bluetooth adapter in my car with the Atrix docked in the car dock mounted to the windshield. It plays for a few minutes then the sounds starts cutting out, if I pull the phone out of the dock and move it to within a few inches of the adaptor it clears up. If I dissconect and pe pair, it fixes it for a few minutes then starts cutting out again. I tested with a pair of southwing headphones to see what kind of range i could get and was only able to get around 5 feet.
I have had bluetooth cut out a few times in my car. Music keeps playing with no working audio then a few minutes later it disconnects
My jawbone headset goes as far at 100 ft or more
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
The Bluetooth on the Atrix seems to be very on demand as compared to other devices. We have an HTC EVO and an HTC Aria in the household as well and they both stay connected to our Benz, but the Atrix seems only to connect when I'm about to make a call (which is all it's used for).

Completely agree with this. Whenever I turn on my bluetooth headset, it does NOT automatically connect to the Atrix. I have to manually connect every single time (Wireless Networks > Bluetooth Settings > Click Headset to Connect)/ Is there anyway to fix this?
Does anyone know if the Atrix BT is compatible with any BT keyboard, or only the one that comes with the Media Dock? I was thinking it would be convenient to use the Atrix with a Generic BT Keyboard and Mouse (which I already have), and not pay extra to get a Media Dock. (I realize I could use the Media Dock and plug in a USB BT adapter to use something like the Logitech BT Keyboard/Mouse set.)
I also wonder if the Moto Keyboard has decent keying? I have found it harder and harder to find ANY BT keyboards with decent keys lately. I really dislike the chicklet keyboards. Unpleasent to type on!
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Connected to in dash radio - bluetooth problems

Hi everyone, I'm trying to help a friend here.
His got a Nexus 4 with 4.3, but the problem was also in 4.2.2. When connected to in dash audio system (2010 Nissan Qashqai) via Bluetooth everything is working.
But while talking there are like interference within the conversation, which occurs randomly. According to the local dealer the Nexus 4 is not supported with this system. I suspect it may be something with the modern Bluetooth standards the Nexus support and aren't maybe fully supported by the audio system.
Is there a way to solve this? Is there a way to downgrade the Bluetooth capabilities since he uses Bluetooth only in the car? Would really appreciate any solution since he would love to avoid buying an external Bluetooth headset and not using the car built in speakers.

[Q] Why is my Jaybird Bluetooth Headphones not pairing to Nexus?

I rooted my Nexus 7 2 times already. I installed OS Jelly bean 4.3 and Kit Kat 4.4 and still can't get it to link up or detect it. I used the search feature on the bluetooth settings and found my laptop and phone. The head phones connect to my old phone with no problem. I turned off the bluetooth for my laptop and phone after too. I restart the headset and held down the search button but they never got detected by Nexus. I only brought these $178 headphones for the tablet. What could be causing the problem?

[Q] LG G2 4.4.2 Bluetooth Problems

I drive a 2013 Hyundai Sonata (Dimensions Bluetooth Audio system), and I am also trying to connect a Canz 808 Bluetooth Wireless speaker to my LG G2. When I initially pair my phone, everything connects fine. On both my car and the wireless speaker, the media audio does not connect properly after turning off the car or the wireless speaker and leaving the Bluetooth on the LG G2 on, and then either getting back and turning on the car or turning on the wireless speaker. The media audio does not connect properly (no sound) even though the phone shows it's connected. I have to turn off my phone's Bluetooth and then back on for things to connect properly. I found an app called Xperia Z1 Bluetooth media fix on the Google Play Store that seems to fix this problem. I did a factory data reset on my phone and I still have the same problems unless I use the app I mentioned, or I turn off my phone's Bluetooth and then turn it on once the devices I mentioned are already on. It seems when the devices try to connect to the phone, instead of the phone trying to connect to the particular device first, the media audio connection gets messed up. My Nexus 7 tablet, which is also on 4.4.2, connects perfectly each and every time so this seems to be a problem with the LG G2 specifically. Anyone with any ideas why this is happening?

Guys I went to the T-Mobile store today and I brought my Canz 808 wireless speaker with me. I tested it with another LG G2 at the store, and I was surprised when it didn't have any problems whatsoever. It seems my handset has a Bluetooth hardware problem. I already tried a factory data reset, and today I even downgraded to the stock 4.2.2 to see if that would fix it. No luck. They ordered me a replacement handset. It's on backorder so I'm not sure when I'll receive it. I'll test further once I receive the replacement.

After further testing things out with the replacement handset, it seems the replacement handset has the same exact problems. This appears to be a software issue then. I wasn't able to test things out properly with the demo unit at the T-Mobile store since I only tried it a couple of times. I would highly recommend anyone having media audio Bluetooth problems to try the Xperia Z1 Bluetooth media fix app on the Play Store since this little app has solved all my Bluetooth connection problems!

I too have a problem with this speaker (canz 808) though I believe the problem is with the speaker bluetooth, I cant get it to work on my samsung galaxy or my lgg2.. also the speaker no longer makes the initialization sound that it used to make when you turn it on.. I bought this thing less than one month ago.
works with the audio cable.
