hi,
i'm developing an app to track gamepad input/events to touch events.
Everything works fine ... BUT is there a way to disable the native gamepad support from android? Everytime i press a button on my gamepad it calls "Back" ... how to disable this?
regards

hello!
I've just tried the car game Raging Thunder on my Universal but Im having some keyboard problem.
How do you play? When you try ith Auto Acce enable, you just have to turn left or right, I use the cursor on keyboard but I also can use the D-pad right?
If I want to use auto acce disabled, I use cursor on keybard and to accelarate and break the up and down arrows. But I cant change gears...
can't I change the keyboard settings to this game. Change Acc and break to Q and A for instance?
Thanks
Deiota
it's a problem the universal has:
you can't press two keyboard buttons at the same time.
you can press one keyboard button and one (or more?) of the edge buttons simultaneously though.
someone on here is trying to rewrite the keyboard driver to address this problem.
i really need to use the xperia as a mouse and keyboard for the htpc. did any one manage to get it to work. i really hate remote desktop(wifi)

Tried GRemote?? Its working good (over wifi tho)
thanks will give it a try and get back to you. but is there a bluetooth solution
amazing software thanks.
but the hardware keyboard does works as if the square function key is pressed all the time and i cant disable it by pressing it. i have to use the on screen keyboard. any solution to this problem
also is there a way to make the touch area behave as left click by double tapping (like laptop touchpads)
the left click for xperia is just hold your finger on the screen and a circle will circle around the point pressed and open up a right click menu
can someone else confirm the keyboard problem. its driving me nuts.
btw im using touch-it 3.5
I confirm the hardware keyboard issue, works in [fn] mode all the time.
I use a program called Salling Clicker to control my computer. It can connect through bluetooth or wifi. It can control common media programs and does mouse and keyboard through scripts. This script was written for the TyTN but works on my TyTNII and my Xperia.

Is there a setting that enables you to use the controller without having to use the screen controls as well? Seems like I have to use the screen controls for "coin" and then "start" with the controller. I can't seem to map "coin" and "start" to the controller in Mame. Thanks!

You can assign coin and Start to the CTRLR - just use the settings screen of the emulator you're using to assign them. If you're running out of controls then I usually set Coin to the Play/Pause button of the media controls.
Answer no longer required. I figured it out.
I inherited an app and can't seem to figure out how to remap the gamepad buttons to Android standard.
It is a UI app for when Android (smartphone, tablet or Android stick) is being displayed (on a TV and you are using a Gamepad (MOGA, Nyko, others) to navigation and control.
Right now, pressing X or Y on the gamepad is select and pressing A and B are back/menu.
I want to make A select, keep B as back, and disable X and Y, until an App is launched.
I did a search and I see no reference to KEYCODE_BUTTON_X, Y, A or B.
Thus, I don't see how this button mapping is even occurring.
If you email me directly at tim at timwong dot com, I am happy to send you the code if it will be faster to figure out what is going on.
Thank you in advance.
Hi, I wonder if hid mode is possible to connect our original controls with Bluetooth, it is disgusting that with some game emulators we cannot map the buttons with the native options of the emulators like ppsspp, dolphin, etc. Would be possible to have this feature in future updates?

Hi,
You must have to add the app in the shark mode, so you can map this app
Hi,
I know that bro, but HID mode do not need to add the app to shark mode, I mean HID Bluetooth mode which is a mode you can connect via Bluetooth and inside the emulators you can map the buttons by choosing wich button responses to any button you like, that would make to have the ability to hide the emulator buttons because you have linked an external gamepad and so you have the screen clean of buttons which is much better than have the buttons mapped over the emulator on screen buttons showing them. That way you take advantage of the full screen to enjoy your game.
