Headset adapter with mic

Hello everybody!
I recently purchased some headphones that have a mic built in: found here
I was hoping that I could just plug them into my USB- 3.5mm adapter and they would work as headphone, and when a call comes in I could talk on the phone as well.
Unfortunately I found that they do not properly plug into the standard USB to 3.5mm adapter because the microphone makes a extra connection that my adapter dosn't have.
So I was wondering if there is a work around to this, Or preferably a adapter that would work with the headphones and mic combo.
Thanks for your help!

Using the Headset as a headset for the PC?

Im wondering if anyone has tried to use the headset that comes with the Blackstone as a headset on a PC succesfully? Is this possible, how?
Only with a cable or adapter. But I would just use a normal headset because they are easier to get, normally have a better quality and are more comfortable.
ok, thanx
The answer to your question is yes, the Touch HD earphones will work in a PC.
i use them without problems in macbook, including microphone. Great for skype.
Hm ok but how will I connect this? I have a X-FI Platinum with that front connection board on the front of the case. It works by getting a cable or adapter and then connect it to the microphone input?

[Q] Real headphones with Internal mic

Hi,
is there any way to get the internal mic on the SGS2 working when using real headphones? I also have problems in the car when using BlueTooth, my mic do not work - neither the car mic nor the built in one and in this case I would prefer the external one.
Also connected to good headphones - Volume boosting? I have tried the service codes but they all go back to normal again, do I need to Root?
Thanks
Using standard 3.5 jack headset allows me to make and answer calls on my SGS2
I recently bought a senheiser headset that includes a mic and answer/hang button originally designed for iPhone and it works perfectly with my SGS2 (XXKG3/speedmod kernel)
hope this helps

Define "real" headphones?
If you are talking about headphones with 25-60ohm impedance then the output amp should drive your headphone just fine. But if you want to drive a 600ohm HD800 then you definitely need a portable amp. (I wouldn't suggest anyway you play music with SGS2 as a source if you have a HD800) Volume boosting does nothing if you are driving a high impedance headphone.
I have a TF10 with in-line mic and the mic works fine with my SGS2. Music pausing, fast forward etc works.
Hi,
not all clear - agreed. I have a pair of Monster Turbine Pro Copper 32 ohm, but my questions was more headphones/headset. My old iPhone4 was smart enough to figure out if I was using a headset or headphones and keept the intermal mic on in the latter case. So is there anyway to get the SGS2 to work in that manner. I would prefer that and not have to buy an extension cord with mic (prefer short cable).
All the best

[Q][CM11] Logitech UE6000 mic stopped working

Hey guys,
So I'm on a snapshot of M3 I think (I just used the PC based installer with the app) and the in line microphone in my Logitech UE6000's has stopped working. I know it works as I've tested them in another device (My laptop) and I've also tried another set of earphones with an inline mic and it worked fine. Any ideas to fix it?
Thanks,
Ninja!
