Is there a way I can customize a long hold of the menu button? It would be great if I could use that to pull up my app drawer.
Good idea, I add me to the question
Yes download either Apex launcher, nova, or holo launcher and in the launcher settings under behavior you're able to make the menu button and home button do what ever you want.

I was just wondering if any of y'all know how to remove some apps icons from the app menu? For instance better keyboard or some live wallpapers I've installed. I just wanna remove things that you can access from the settings. Thanks for your time.

I'm running LP (not sure if TW has this feature) and if you hit the
setting button > preferences > general settings> Hidden Apps > Choose the apps you want and hide them. I hid a lot it really comes in handy like swype tips.
I don't have launcher pro (which I'm assuming LP is) I'm using the default Touchwiz.

Touchwiz is a slow, uncustomizable, piece of junk. Use lp or adw

Though I'm a fan of anderwebs, I find launcher pro to be a better product. It comes with its own widgets and is very smooth. You can also hide apps in your app drawer.
Not sent from my Vibrant using XDA App 'cause I returned it.
I also use LaucherPro but I will also actually answer your quesiton.
Go into the App List and press
Menu>View Type>Cutomizable grid
Then press
Menu>Edit
You'll see little red minus signs on icons that can be removed. When you've gotten rid of the ones you don't want, just hit Menu>Save and you're all set. Of course, this means that you'll have to move the icons of new apps if you like the alphabetical list.
Ok so i accidently deleted the menu button that takes you to all the apps. I am running DJ05 and i tried restoring, but its still gone. Any ideas?
What launcher are you using?
Not sure if it'll help since i'm on DI01, using launcher pro, but if you just long press one of the icon locations, choose change shortcut, choose applications. If applications is missing from THAT list, then you'll need a less noob to help ya out.
If you're using ADW, long press the homescreen and select "launcher actions." Then choose "open/close app drawer." Now drag your new icon to the dock on the bottom.

^ Thanks! This Worked Perfect!
Occasionally I lose my dock bar in ADW. I usually fix it by killing ADW in Task Manager (stock) and it fixes itself when it reopens. If that doesn't work, I toggle options in ADW Settings until it comes back.
I don't actually have an app/home button anyhow. I replaced it with google voice search. There is a setting in ADW that lets you Up-swipe for app drawer, so I prefer that.
Swyped w/ XDA App. When in doubt, mumble.
Anyone using Nova Launcher and knows how to create a shortcut to the Recent apps? The one that you get when you long press the home key on the Note 3. I managed to find a shortcut to the Active Applications and RAM but cannot find one for the Recent Apps. I want to use the home button as little as possible considering it's very crooked already.
Edit: I found an App that does this so it's good enough for now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=factory.widgets.recentapps
It would be nice though to have a shortcut from Nova etc. without installing an app.
Mate heres the easier solution...
Go to nova setting --> gestures and for swipe up choose recent apps...ure set

Dear,
Since i'm experimentating with my homescreen and using different launchers i deleted the button just above my dock to go to all apps. currently i'm using nova launcher and i don't know how i can add the button again.
Quiet irritating as i can't go to all my apps....
U should be able to add a new shortcut to the home screen labeled app drawer and the you can put that back in the original location
Indeed you need to hold the homescreen, the pick widget and there are soms widget of nova launcher included the app drawer! Thx mate!
I was looking in to the settings from nova launcher!
I was testing some launcher (Smart Launcher 3 Pro) and it is permanently showing the home buttons.
I disabled it on the Hide Home Button setting, but after removing the app the home buttons are permanently showing on my stock launcher.
What am I missing, how do I revert it to normal?
I've practically enabled hide home button on every app but its stuck on my stock launcher

I'm sorry I don't understand your question. Are you trying to get rid of your navigation bar? Or just on certain app?
Let me rephrase it.
I was testing a downloaded launcher which has the home buttons permanently shown.
After uninstalling and reverting to the stock launcher, the home buttons were stuck to being shown permanently.
Im talking about home button on the launcher not on apps
I even tried hiding all the home buttons on all apps, but since my issue is with my stock launcher. It didn't work

You can't hide the home buttons on stock launcher.
