Does anyone know how to disable the fully charged message, it always wakes me up in the middle of the night.
I read somthing about a hidden menu accessed through the dialer, but i cannot get that to work.
Sorry, but what is the «fully charged message» ?
When the battery is full the device tells you so, it wakes up and turns light on. Annoying when the phone lights up the bedroom. I found that there are service codes that can turn this off in other android phones. But i found no code for this on the SGT, i also did not find this setting in the service menu you can bring up through the dialer.
I found out how to turn of the "allways on when connected to power" setting, that helps ofcource. I would still like to turn off the message when battery is fully charged tho. I hoped that someone in this exellent forum found the code to do this.
Put a pillow on top of it

Put it up side down?
I use Bedside. It turns off all notificarions except phone calls from people in my contacts. SMS can either be enabled or disabled as well.
It aslo works as a clock (can disable sleep if on charger), but allos your alarm clock to still work.

Man, you should hear the one of the damn vibrant. That one *is* loud. Forced me to turn off all sound every night. Haven't heard of a solution.

2 beeps is that annoying to you? Least thats what mine does
I turn my audio off at night, it just makes 2 haptic "beeps" which wouldn't wake anyone.

one pillow and blanket on top of that or charge it in other room but i know you loved it so much you want to keep it beside you.
I've got a Tasker script running that shuts off all audio and data from 1am until 6am which stops it bugging me and saves power.
Jupp i love my GT too much, i keep it close by allways and i do not have the heart to deprive it of the net when i sleep :-D, its really the light that bothered me, it was worce before i found out how to let the GT go back to sleep when on external power tho, and now it seems ive got used to it so i dont wake up. So i guess this is not an issue any more. Thank you all for trying to help me.

Anyone else noticed their battery life seriously degrade from 2.3 to 2.3.3? Wish I hadn't upgraded now :O(
Just me then.
I got the opposite effect, battery life increased...you checked HTC sense for anything syncing that you don't need, email and gmail apps for any duplicate accounts or maybe WiFi is on full power?

Ah..checked some of the settings and backed off or disabled syncing. I normally disable syncing when I dont need anyway and even then I seem to be getting poor battery performance (compared to how it was).
Wifi I hardly use, its off.
I've tweaked some settings and I guess I can see how I go.
Thanks for the input.
I noticed a dip in battery life as well when I updated. After disabling HTC SENCE under accounts and sync, my battery usage went back to usable levels. I have to say, it never did come back to the pre-update usage.
I too had battery problems after the update as well as wifi issues ffs! Anyway, an update sorted the wifi but not the battery.
I was looking through the sticky and found a post by "Skullnubian" from December 2010 regarding battery problems relating to Issues After OTA Update 2.2.1. It works a treat. My battery is performing much much better today! I also have debugging "on" as apparently this shuts down a process that is constantly on in the background and also have auto brightness on....
Hi
I have found a solution for this issue that so far seems to work. After noticing that not even after resetting to factory defaults, Android System (process) persisted in misbehaving, I decided to take a different approach. The procedure involves resetting the phone to factory defaults but this time via the bootloader and recovery menu. To note that my device is not and has not yet been rooted so all options mentioned should be available in your ROM (I guess).
Procedure:
1st - Make sure that all your data is backed up(I use Mybackup pro)
2nd - Turn fast boot off: Settings>Applications>(uncheck)Fastboot
3rd - Now turn the phone Off (Power button and select power Off)
4th - Pressing the volume down button (don't release) then tap the Power button once and with the volume down key still pressed, a white (hBoot) screen should appear.
5th - First using the volume up/down to navigate through the options and power button to select: you select RECOVERY
#The phone should restart in Recovery mode: a picture of the phone with an exclamation mark is presented.
6th - Pressing VOLUME UP and POWER BUTTON should give you different option, scroll down and select Wipe data/factory reset. This should reset the Android side of things and wipe the Cache folder also.
7th - After that is done, you want to reboot the system back into the white (hBoot) screen, so select the first option and whilst rebooting keep the VOLUME DOWN button pressed. Once in the recovery menu you select FACTORY RESET.
At this point the phone should start up as normal and you set everything up again and it should be back to normal. I Would advise to wait a few minutes before restoring your backed up data, the apps should be fine to be restored.
This method worked well for me, the device has been of the charge at around 3 am [GMT] and remains with 30% at 17:45h after restoration and with normal use after about 10am.
Hope this works for you.

When I have my phone plugged in over night and then hit the unlock screen button, the screen doesn't turn on.
I have to hard reset to get the phone on then everything is fine.
What is causing this and how do i stop it?
Running totally stock rom 4.3
Which apps do u have installed on your Nexus? I saw the freezing issue with touch control. If U had no apps it could have just been a bad flash
Have you got any overclocking apps?

I have been dealing with this for a while. It has made me late to work since I use my phone as my alarm and the alarm does not go off when this occurs. I've tried everything. Toggled daydream mode to ensure it was off, done a factory reset and installed no apps, done a full factory image flash to make sure there was no issue with the system files, tried a different charger, tried not charging, etc... it still occurs about once a week. I plan to call Google to ask if this is a warranty issue.

Download and install Safe Charge from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sash.sodeliminator. Open Safe Charge after installing the app and click the Enable Safe Charge check box. The developer has an explanation at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226698 of how his app prevents the Nexus from entering deep sleep while the phone is plugged in. I installed his app after experiencing two sleep of death episodes in my first week with the Nexus and have not had one since.
I tracked it down that it only happens when wifi is enabled. When it's not enabled the phone doesn't freeze.
Try disabling location access? Wifi might have connection with that. No harm trying right?
Wifi on at night isn't good for human deep sleep anyway so I off it.
Hello
I have my G2 for 3 days now, and I keep having the same weird problem every morning when I turn it on: the clock "looses" one day, and either advances or loses a few minutes.
Yesterday I checked as the hour went past 00h and the date changed to day 19, thursday ('I'm on GMT 00). The phone and computer had the same time.
I left my phone off during the night, and today when I turned it on I found it at 10.00 o'clock (8 minutes in advance of my computer). It also switched back to the 18th, wednesday. The weather/time app still detects it was last updated on the 19th.
I have automatic date-time-timezone switched off. If I turn it on, it will sync with the Internet and correct the hour, but that does not fix the problem.
Any ideas on what's happening? Any suggestions?
I'm on Android 4.2.2
Kernel 3.4.0
Software D80210b-EUR-XX
Yesterday (after midnight) I switched the phone off for more than 10 minutes, switched back on: all ok
Restarted the phone: was ok - up till 3 am the date/time was correct.
Turn it off, woke up this morning, turned it on: 5 minutes delayed, date went back to the 19th.
It seems what is happening is not really a lost of time. Today as I turned the phone on, it was showing 10:24, 20th (yesterday). This was over half an hour ahead of correct time. This happened after I had the phone off for 3 hours, so it's not a delay that increases as proportional to the time the phone is off. It must have something to do with some date/time on the settings, that override actual date/time.
I think this is like a "return to last settings", in this case, I believe this was the date/time set when I turned the phone on yesterday morning.
I already went by all apps I think could be related, but I can find no relevant option to prevent this.
That is indeed strange, maybe someone else around here can help you with that.
I don't think many people turn their phones off during the night.
Hi i think this is the same for all g2, my phone does the same thing once you turn it off the device is literally off. I am sure if you check the battery time it will show only from the time you rebooted it and not from last full charge. At the beginning i reported this issue but didn't get any reply but with further investigation i reached to the conclusion it wasn't an issue with device.
Any way regarding date time issue, you can simply make sure its automatically synchronized with network that way no matter whether its on or off it will be correct.

its probably cmos battery if phone has one, try warrantee
Thank you for your input
I've done a few more tests. I've flashed a different firmware, but it still does the same. This originally came with 10B-SEA, and I flashed it to 10B-EUR (UK open). Now it's back to SEA.
I've contacted LG about this, and they told me it's under analysis.
The phone will not loose date and time if it's powered off for one hour. After two hours it will happen and it will go back to the last time the phone was powered on and the clock was set.
I've been keeping it synced with the network time, and that way it works fine, but that's not a permanent fix. Yesterday I unchecked the automatic time, left it powered off for two hours, and it went back to monday.
I've read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2580974, and it seems to be related.
Same problem with date and time
I do have the same problem. My phone model is D802 (international variant). But as far as I remember, this issue did not start from the day one. I purchased the phone some 2 months back. It was fine on the JB. It remained fine even after the KitKat update. But one day, my phone did show some weird problems. Serious lag coupled with overheating and battery drain. I did a factory reset because the phone was hardly usable at that point. After the reset, lag + overheat and battery issue was gone, but I remember that after that incident, it started this weird date/time sync issue. There is something which I wish to highlight by the attached screenshot. There is always a broken curve of battery usage whenever the date/time reverts which happens whenever you keep the phone switched off for a few hours. I am not a technical person, but this might be related to the battery.
Anyone have any luck with this? The main problem that this is causing is that when emails, texts, messages come in whilst the clock is incorrect (before it updates), these items get put out of sync with when they did actually arrive.
I contacted LG and they said...
If you have both options ticked, I would advise you to try and perform a hard factory reset. Before doing the reset, please ensure that you back up all of your files as all data will be lost during the reset. The details of the reset are as follows:
Turn the phone off
Press and hold the power key and the volume down key together
Release the power key only when the LG logo appears and immediately press and hold it again
Release both keys when the hard factory screen shows up
Select yes (use the power key to select yes)
Select yes again
This will then take you through the set up of the phone, and the issue should be resolved. I hope this helps you.
I haven't yet tried this, as from what I've read elsewhere, this wont fix it, plus it is a bit of a hassle to copy everything off and then reset, then et everything back on the way it was and all apps, etc.
Hi,
I've the same problem.
Can you tell me if Hard factory reset or LG support had resolved this issue?
I'm currently using ClockSync app that sync time every 3h and at boot.
The clock seems not to be very accurate : 1.139s of local offset in 2h...
I've tested the Clock_offset_fix. I'll update this post when I'll be sure that this solution is ok for me or not...

This is not an issue per say. It's just that the device is built this way..... So as far as I know there is no fix to this. Except you can have accurate date and time if you have a sim card in the device and auto date&tme option is ticked in settings. You see the device doesn't have a pc like cmos rom to store basic info like date and time. So when u turn off the device that info isn't maintained and becomes corrupted after some time but it is corrected when synchronized with the cell network provider at boot.

Same problem for me, date and time are wrong for some seconds after boot.
Than it switch correctly to the current date and time.
Make sure you have setting > date and time > automatic sync for all options...
On my phone it start wrong than it correct itself if internet is enabled.
The problem ia when mobile data is OFF. :'(

Yes, I have automatic sync on, but the problem is when I can't access internet. What if I install Cyanogenmod?

Hi folks,
I've got the 6013 model in the US, running on AT&T, completely stock never rooted, fully updated to 10.3.11. Either the most recent update, or the one before that, seems to have caused an issue where texts sent to me overnight or in early morning before I first use the phone never show up. I've missed some important notifications due to this. The worst thing is they NEVER show up... they aren't just delayed until I wake the phone up. After I start using the phone, new texts make it through just fine. The phone seems to be sleeping deeper or something and not getting any of these cellular-based texts. Emails and other notifications based on wifi internet seem to be showing up fine.
Do not disturb is NOT enabled (and, I've tried toggling it on and off without change). This has been going on for weeks or longer, multiple reboots, etc.. I've checked my default texting app (Textra) and the phone's built-in Messages app... the texts aren't in either app. They just never show up.
What else can I look into to check the cause of this and hopefully a fix?
Thanks!
As a test today, I sent a text from my work phone to my personal OnePlus when I got up (late! Father's Day!) before interacting with my OnePlus at all. It did receive the text just fine. I think the cellular radio may be on some timer and going to sleep / waking up on some sort of schedule. Where are the settings for controlling this kind of thing? I haven't messed with this phone's settings much... it just worked fine out of the box and ever since for the last two and a half years until recent update messed this text thing up.
Further information: In Settings, Battery, Battery Saver is OFF (I've never enabled this) and under battery optimization I noticed Textra was set for Intelligent Control; I've toggled this to Don't Optimize. "Messages" was not present; I never use it.
Is there anything else to try? Note that the phone is plugged in and fully charged at the time these issues are occurring.

Dude, not sure but hope it will work,
anyway trying will cost nothing...
Go to settings > battery > battery optimization >
hit on upper right 3 dots and select advanced optimization,
then be sure " SLEEP STANDBY OPTIMIZATION"
is toggled OFF.
Try again and cross your finger...
Cheers

Thanks @Dadditz , that was already off. Sigh. Not sure why this happens. I've tested when I get up at 7 am, sending a text from another phone, and my 6T receives it, but during the darker hours of the night, no joy. Thanks for the reply, though.
Just as a follow up, the problem seems intermittent. I got some 4 am texts from my sump alarm when the wifi went down briefly. No idea what's going on, but it's intermittent rather than constant.
