When i get a call, my phone vibrates according to the pattern i chose in settings.. (aka Heartbeat, Jinglebell, Basic call..) which is exactly what i want from a call vibration.
When i get a text message, my phone vibrates differently. It vibrates a short vibration then a long long vibration. Its so annoying and i was wondering if there was a way to fix the SMS vibration pattern?
+1 I'd like to know aswell

If you want it that bad, you can use Handcent sms which offers custom vibrations. I don't know of any way to do this in stock touchwiz.

Hey community,
sorry i did not find a thread of this topic, maybe there is one and i used the false search term. Not so easy to describe but everyone should know what i mean.
If i start to make a call there is not just the call tone. Before the call tone there is annoying sound which goes up in the tone like "düdüdülüt". Really annoying.
Does someone know how to disable this nerve killer?
Thanks and a nice weekend
Turn off call divert and call waiting
I have a dutch version, ill try to translate:
Go to Settings, call settings, all calls, status tones
(option #2,#1,#6 in settings)

I rather find the volume up on full volume tone very annoying... The one from the htc phones sounds better...
Two problems I've been having on froyo. Just addressing them incase anybody else is having the same problems.
1) Haptic on flashed keyboards from rom manager. Mtm blackout and gingerbread don't enable touch vibrate.
2) sms alert won't vibrate. Alert tone is fine, as well as incoming call vibrate, but no sms vibrate.
I am running Dl30 superclean with default theme. Dj05 radio.
Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to post your question threads in General, not Development.

If you are using the messaging app which comes on the rom, to enable vibration upon notification you must do this, at least that is what i had to do.
-go to the messaging app
-press menu button and go to settings
-go to Notification settings
-then under vibrate settings you can change it to always vibrate when notified or only when silent is enabled

Its in development because it has to do with development bugs. Its not an options menu issue. I've played with settings quite a bit now and still haven't been able to get it. Tried flashing the keyboards too.

Then maybe you should have posted your question in the thread that already exists for Froyo. Or another one of the threads that exists for Froyo. There are several of them. Development is not a place to post question threads. I am more than happy to help, but I will not help people who post in the wrong section despite requests from Moderators to NOT do so. Read what imnuts posted, it's very clear.

That needs to be stickied.
Huh. Weird. My haptic works fine. Weird.
Haptic Issue as well
Baseband is DL09 and build is DL30. I'm nonvoodo. I have haptic checked on and I have the phone set as always vibrate. None of that works. The weird thing is, vibrate and haptic did work after the initial update of DL30 and the only thing I have done since then is load Fring to my phone. I uninstalled Fring just to see if something had gone wrong but nadda. Still no haptic and no vibrate. I have also applied ROMs from Sonofskywalker3 to see if those would fix the issue. I have also taken my phone back to stock and still nothing. I'm about to exhange with verizon...Any ideas?
Strangely enough, haptic and vibrating started working again without me adjusting settings or any other attempt to fix it.. The haptic and vibrate worked for about 30mins and stopped working again. My new phone is being shipped.
My issue has to be hardware related, haptic and vibrate stopped working again. Then, after a few hours, I accidently dropped my phone and it landed pretty hard, haptic and vibrate started work again. My replacement phone is in, so I will consider this case closed and solved and unrelated to software.
Hey guys, I enjoy my Note 3 very much, but is some kind of a "problem" that annoys me. When I'm using the phone for texting, playing etc. And someone calls me I'm accidentally rejecting the call many times. Is there an option to "delay" the phone response when receiving a call?

Under Settings-Device-Call-Incoming call notifications if its checked then uncheck, it's enabling pop up of call notification when screen is ON, so instead of sliding finger to accept call u have one touch accept & reject, I can see only this possibility atm.

Yes, this is the solution. This helped me a lot and I really like this feature.
Working great, thanks.

I have an odd issue with my phone. The other day my phone started to repeat my notifications. Example; if I get a text it will give me the notification and about 60 secs later it will notify me again but only the notification sound will be issued as I use the notification sound and vibration function. I have a SM-G360T rooted on stock rom and there isn't a setting in my phone to have the notifications repeat. Any insight will be greatfully appreciated

I'd like the phone to still vibrate so I can determine on a case by case basis whether it's worth picking up. Putting my phone on vibrate isn't a solution, because I still want my priority notifications to sound while keeping others silenced... But phone calls, I want to still be able to feel even when I can hear them.
Is that possible? I was using my phone and didn't even realize I was missing a phone call since DND was on...

Has anybody made an app to put custom vibrations on certain contacts?
I am a v10 user so maybe it is different but you can set priorities for favorite contacts only long press do not disturb mode from notification panel.
Press select priorities, set to favorite

I think I'm just going to use a macro to schedule my phone to vibrate instead of using DND mode. Guess I'll just reserve for that for when I'm sleeping rather than when I'm sleeping and working. I don't like the idea that I could so easily miss an important call.
