Any ideas? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

And idea why this is happening to my gmail.
I sent an email to myself and it seems to have some sort of add in the subject. I left the subject blank but this can't be right can it?
Look at the top one where it says me.

It says what your email below it says, the LA muscle. I think it's a bug. I had this too but when I opened the email it said what I've sent it.

[BUG] Searching images in Google Search forces it to close.

Does this happen to you?
Go to your launcher.
Click Google at the top.
Search for something.
Let it load.
Now change your search at the top and search.
Once it loads it will close Google.
Why?
Edit: I put this in the bug report thing. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=40129&thanks=40129&ts=1353489281

Expandable notifications

Has anyone else noticed this?
On my previous phone, I would get the regular notifications and could choose whether I expanded them or not. With the Nexus 4, all my notifications seem to come pre-expanded. Is there anyway to disable this feature?

Anyone?

When you have 1 notification it expands when you have multiple it comes unexpanded. ie you get 1 text its expanded, you get a text and an email and downloaded an app, its not expanded.

Is there an option menu where I can turn that off? I prefer not to have the notifications automatically expand, even if it's only the first one

Does anyone know if there is a way to stop notifications from automatically expanding?
I don't think there's a way that you can. You would have to ask a Developer to code that for you in a custom ROM.

No, as of right now it is not possible.

Email Limited to 25 Messages at a Time

I have the Nexus 10 running the latest version of Android software. My issue is that my stock email app only gives me 25 emails at a time. My apologies if this has been covered but I searched and could not find anything. Thanks for your help.

Shows more then 25 on my device. You have to press "load more" for it to update though.
Maybe it's a limitation from your mail service?

That's probably what he is referring to. Having to constantly load more messages is a pain. There is a days to sync option in hotmail but that is the only one afaik.

Try clearing app data, and see if it still does it?
Edit: Settings --> App --> All --> Chrome --> clear data.
Nope still not working

That's odd, I've never seen anything like that before. And the copyright is 2009, so it obviously hasn't been used in quite awhile.
Have you tried visiting Google help, like it says?

[REQUEST] FB Messenger floating head style notifications for SMS

Specifically something that emulates the ability to 'open' a head and reply without entering the app.
I've had Floating Notifications for a little bit on my phone and it's just not what I'm looking for. I also used to use SMS Popup years ago which was quite good but I'd rather something less obtrusive that lets me chose when to see the popup rather than it just appearing and interrupting whatever I'm doing.
Is there anything out there like this? I'm sure I head of something when they first added it to FB Messenger but I can't seem to find anything.
EDIT: I've just installed SMS Extension but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for.
