Click Settings > More > About device. It tell you model number in there

You have the U.S. variant from AT&T which is like the i9505

So I should use the rooting processes for the i9505 then , right ?

I am on I337UCUAMDL and all the root guides I see reference other firmwares. Is there something I'm missing ?

Its a taiwanese build the latest from samsung if u want it get it from samsung-updates

As we now have a working cm10.1.
Would it be possible for someone to port Sailfish OS or Ubuntu touch to i9505 jfltexx ?

I was under assumtion bootloader is unlocked unless you hav at+t.
We have custom recoverys and custom roms that boot.

I9505 is the quad core version of the s4
I9500 is the dual quadcore (octacore with littleBIG architecture)

Hi,
If you have the International variant ,you are fine.
Only the US AT&T variant is locked.

@OP: you have to press F8 while booting, if you'll see the options, then ur bootloader is unlocked....

2.Also i heard most roms come with root pre installed so does this mean if i flash a custom rom it will give me root access?
