Is usb debugging enabled?
If so, try changing the device type to camera.

Enable usb debugging in developers options and reconnect to usb and you will see a little window appearing. Press yes in the window.

I have, since I was able to flash images through fastboot and before all this I could just get ROMs and music etc on the SD-card.

yup
Strange, but turning USB debugging on did the trick!

Use Nexus With Cracked Screen

Current problems:
Developer options not enabled and USB debugging mode not on.
Anyone know how to solve this?
What are you trying to do? You can flash a custom recovery from fastboot and use adb in that, none of that requires a working digitizer.

The problem lies with the phone not being detected by the computer because USB debugging isn't enabled.

Well I'm trying to install AirDroid so I can use my phone without using the digitizer since it's broken.
I plug it into the computer and try to push adb commands but can't.
I did find another way to work it by booting into Recovery which allows me to push in commands but not sure of what to do from here.
From recovery. 'adb install airdroid.apk' (or whatever your file is called)

How would I actually start up the App though when I'm back on?
Edit:
Sigh, I'm sooo lost.
Wish I can just use an OTG wire and navigate with my mouse but no, Google has taken that away from me too
Can anyone else help?
You can get applications to start at boot a few ways.

can't connect to ADB

For some reason I cannot for the life of me connect the phone to ADB. It, ADB nor Fastboot can ever recognize that my XZP is there. I've done this many times with other phones. I'm positive I have the correct drivers. I'm on a PC with Windows 10. Any suggestions?
You should not be that positive regarding Windows 10 drivers???
Try manually delete the drivers then try again.

Would factory reseting help at all?

You can try, but I don't think a factory reset would help. I mean, fastboot should work regardless if you have the drivers installed (drivers will automatically install anyway). Does the blue led light up when you attempt to connect your phone via fastboot?
If you are trying to access ADB via Powershell in Windows 10 it doesn't work. It works with CMD prompt(Admin).
If you have tried with CMD and it didn't work, you may have to try reinstalling the drivers after booting to "Disable Signed Driver Enforcement" in Windows 10.

The blue light does come on when I connect. I have also booted the computer and did the "Disable Signed Driver Enforcement" but I will try again...

If you are struggling to find the Google USB drivers for ADB then perhaps unlocking your bootloader is not for you.

I would suggest to use a live Linux box, things will be much easier.

Locked in "Device State: locked"

I flashed a ROM that got my device hard bricked in the process, I had to use MsmDownloadTool to recover and I indeed successfully unbricked my device. With stock OOS I enabled oem unlock from developer settings to root again but I can't pass from that, for some reason the bootloader doesn't want to unlock even though the option is enabled. I tried the command 'fastboot oem unlock' already, the device can't make fastboot connections. Help. Please.

If it doesn't show up, forget about what the phone is doing.
You need to figure out the driver situation on your computer.
If you can try a different computer.
Are you using Windows? What version?
I'm on a Mac and have zero issues.
yep, its your driver that is the issue; un install what ever you have installed driver wise, and start again..
oh, and your phone isn't "hard" bricked, or even "soft" bricked; bricked con notates a DOA phone, and yours is neither..
that term is abused and misused here constantly..

Help getting ADB to work (solved)

Can anyone help me getting ADB to work for this device. I can get it with every other phone but this one. I have the OnePlus drivers installed but when I type the Command "ADB Devices" The phone isn't listed.
Have you made sure your adb is up to date? Have you tried a different cable or a different port? Also, did you try to see if fastboot detected the device while in the bootloader?
Just trying to get more information so people can help you troubleshoot.

So I was able to unlock the bootloader while connected. And my ADB is up to date as far as I know. I got it to work with my other devices. I have tried all the ports that I could try and I tried using the stock OnePlus cable as well as a different one but neither worked.

Yes, ADB Debugging is enabled. Other people have said that switching from File Transfer to PTP solved the issue for them but that didn't work for me.
I solved the issue. I just uninstalled everything then downloaded them again and it fixed the issue.
