Can somebody who has installed the newest Mexico Jellybean Rom make some comments about how it compares to other stock ROMs. I currently run the Brasil ROM VQLM-20 from February 3rd.
thank you
I would not recommend that rom because it has a lot of bloatware. I would recommend you instead stock ROM from Claro Colombia (America Movil CO). It is very clean even more than Brazilian one you are using

Technically, it is the same. Obviously, includes all Telcel Apps (some hidden). If you want a fast ROM, do not recommend it. Has many unnecessary things. However, solving the problems that had the Brazilian ROM, especially the indicator LTE.

The only thing i can tell you is that you must try it on your own and you will see. Samsung Galaxy 3 from croatia is same as from spain, there is no difference, not like Galaxy S i9000 and i9000H or whatever is there

i tried, i installed latest version of keys which is Kies_2.0.0.11032_12_9 for me, and no update, than i downloaded indian release of kies which is Kies_2.0.0.11014_49_2, because they have froyo update, and still nothing. are you sure about difference? maybe name is the same, but firmwares are different? i tried to find spain froyo for download with no success, but i sure dont want to brick my phone, or install froyo without croatian language.
there is croatian in all custom froyo roms that are based on JPM. Flash a custom rom or any Europe rom like xxJPM,xwJPF etc. There is low chance of bricking it, just make sure you don't disconect your phone from USB. I'm from croatia and the official update will come in 22nd century to our beloved thieving country...

zakaj onda na hrv ne pričaš? ne smije se ili? budem ja na eng za svaki slučaj.
deal is, that i don't want to use unofficial froyo, because it has bugs like sms app crashing, big bettery consumption, can't remeber what else right now.. i was looking for official froyo update to download, and than install it with odin. than if it does not have croatia language, i could install some custom rom? maybe i'm wrong, because i dont really understand rom and firmware differences and so. :/ it's sad.. they are complicating with that updates. they should put official froyo on some server so anybody can install and download with kies or on internet..
THIS THREAD CAN BE CLOSED. (can someone tell me if i can close thread?)
So i've got an Galaxy SII here in Brazil, it's from Claro and strangely has the HKE2 BASEBAND, HKE4 Kernel.
I read somewhere that 2.3.4 was already avaliable if you had Sammy's retail FW, not Claro's modded crap.
By the time i got home to download it all the post had been removed so i missed the opportunity.
If anyone could point me in the right direction i'd be damn happy!
As far as my knowledge goes i remember reading that swapping from this "custom" to the official would not violate EULA nor my warranty, and that i'd be able to do it without having to root the phone.
Go to the development section, there is a thread by, Intarech (spelling may be wrong) that thread contains what you are looking for.

And a bonus here, i just found out i have a franken-phone.
Checking the Carrier-specific firmwares i bumped into some trouble lol.
My phone is from Brazilian's Claro BUT build is technically a Chillean version.
Check this out:
PDA: UHKE4 is Chile-based
PHONE: UHKE2, well, ok.
Now here's the interesting bit, the CSC is ZTAKE2 wich is NOT LISTED ANYWHERE!
Will i have trouble if i flash this one below?

I was using it, found no issues at all.
You can also try flashing UHKG7 from http://www.samfirmware.com to get Android 2.3.4
(Even more strange is that the page says it's from Brazil, but SamFIT says it's from Chile too.)
EDIT:
This is the same FW from samfirmware

Any special difference from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4?
'Cause i'm looking forward at 2.3.6 already
I've found some minor UI tweaks so far, nothing major.
About 2.3.6 I think it will take a while to arrive at stock roms, maybe sooner with CM7 or MIUI only.
Updated successfully!
No issues whatsoever!
tyvm dandroid13!
So...
No problems whatsoever with 2.3.4?
No 3g data on/off problems on UHKG4 modem? I read that some guys were having some issues on getting 3g data back on after losing signal for whatever reason.
Can you confirm that everything works fine?
I just got an SGS II from Claro and I´m thinking of flashing it with this ROM to get rid of all that Claro crap (and get some original stuff back, like GTalk).
Can you hint me with the specific thread on how to flash SGS II with this ROM?
Thanks a lot.

So, the UHKE4 rom i flashed as avaliable from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 (manual included there) is a 2.3.3.
Again, mine was bought THE DAY AFTER it was released here in Brazil, in late June so it has the hw version from Chile.
Aside from that it's all fine and dandy!
The major difference from the 2.3.4 FW is that you don't get Folha and Livraria Cultura apps.
Anyone brave enough to flash the british update to the galaxy tab 10.1N ?

Made it yesterday. No Problems at all. Came from CM9, flashed Stock HC, wiped cache and made a factory reset 3x. Finally flashed UK 7510 Version. Works well, apart from touchwize
It should. Since any other P7510 ROM, official and custom, works on the P7511 this shouldn't be any different.
So the p7500 firmware should also work on my p7501?

I think this should work also, due to the fact that the editions 7501 and 7511 are just reworked because of patent issues. If i'm not failling here.
Another question i got atm, will it be necessary to flash the final german edition once it will be avaivable? I mean, for what reason are there different firmware versions for the countries, if there wont be some differences in there...
And second, is it wrong to flash the future german version over the now existing UK edition, without wipe. Or is this absolutely necessary?

I think one side effect will be that About tablet ---> Model number = 7510 Not 7511 like every custom rom.
Maybe the difference in firmwares is a Samsung thing to locate their tabs.
If you flashed the British rom and you got no problems I don't think it's necessary to flash the German one.
British accent way cooler than German

The differences are normally to do with the bundled software, if you take the release for the 7500 for example, there is extra software specific to Italy in the hidden.img post of the ROM, but none for the other parts of Europe.
Certainly, if they come out roughly the same time, it's unlikely they will have differences that affect performance or stability.
I won't be switching ROMs when they release the 7500 ROM in the UK as there really won't be any need.

I did it. I flashed the P7500 version via odin on my P7501. It works perfect. Even german language was activated on first boot, so I didn't need to switch.
So I think, if the uk version for p7510 is working on your P7511, there's no need to install a special german version.

Allright then, will keep my little bobby with the uk version until a stable jb rom is available. Performance is as i know it allready from ics, but without crashes and so on. And the accent sounds really royal to me.
I also flashed the british rom to my P7511 and after 3 hours everything works fine
It's strange to see Samsung has not made official p7511 firmware (not even in Kies software) and you all have reported the p7510 firmware has no problems at all.
Perhaps p7511 is too small to make a new firmware for it, and thus less interest for Samsung.
Somehow Samsung is a bit stupid... Do they hate p7511 because Apple lawsuit in Germany?
I just got p7511 here with 64GB storage. Will use British p7510 firmware.
There are two sites knowning for firmwares:
- Samsung-updates.com
- Sammobile.com
Which one do you trust more or are both indeed trusted?
File size:
SU version: 430.651.652 (SFV: 196B54B5)
SM version: 430.650.477 (SFV: 17D3D859)
Not identical zip files, thus repacked zips.
The files inside are indentical in both zips.
Hi everyone, I might be a little late to the party but I recently booted up my Milestone 2 to Cyanogen Mod., but then decided it may be affecting my battery life, so I decided to flash a UK 2.3.4 SBF.
Long story short, I idiotically flashed it with a Vivo Brazil ROM ages back when doing this kinda stuff before, I was able to somehow get it on Cyanogenmod but I'm looking for a way to downgrade from this version to the UK stock ROM it was originally on (This version is full of apps not from my country, and also doesn't support the UK baseband).
I'd also like to know what this BL=4 thing is... does that stand for bootloader?
I am looking to install a debloated, deodexed, busyboxed version of the latest Marshmallow rom, but the only results I can find on Google are people talking about the June release, VLU1DPE2. There was another one released this past December, VLS1DPK1, but so far nobody is talking about it at all.
That is the Puerto Rican firmware. Apparently there is not such a thing as even a flashable ZIP for this version as of yet. Hopefully someone can make one soon for testing purposes.
