Can someone fix layout of Awesome Note app (from Note 8.0) to suit our Galaxy S4
I tried using xposed app settings and tried various dpi from 160 to 480 but nothing worked. Whatever dpi I choose it only utilizes 3/4th of screen. I also tried to change screen dpi to 800x1280 and 1000x1600 but no luck.

Awsome Note is THE most awesome organizer app. It integrates it all from to-do list to notes, travel journals, idea organizer, events/ schedule organizer etc and all of this in a really nice and intuitive interface. The app is currently available only for iPhone, iPad and Galaxy Note 8. But I have tested it on Galaxy Note N7000 and Note 10.1 also and it was working fine. For more information check this link. I guess it doesn't fit in Galaxy S4's screen ratio. BTW I have seen your Multi DPI mods for some S4 Stock apps maybe you can help with fixing this app. You can download the app from here.

I had a note HD installed on my galaxy s2 and the resolution was perfect. I use the app for a couple months and really liked the feature set. I think it is possible because it works on my s2, but on the s4 it is way too small. Hope someone can fix this.

Nice find. Thanks for posting. It has Learning Hub so that's finally being released (at least in Germany). There's still no Reader's Hub or Social Hub. It also said "pen removed" in the quick settings so its got at least one of the Note 2's features ported over. If Google Now only works in portrait mode that will suck. It was fast and fluid but it had no apps or widgets running; the real test to see if there's a difference is when we all load it up with the crap we use everyday.
Yes I am pretty much expecting us to get JB and the full Note 2.0 treatment. Reason being that Samsung will want 10.1 owners to also own the Note 2 as our phone so the devices need to be highly compatible.
Also they probably don't want to deal with 10.1 owners *****ing them out 24/7.

This is what made me question it...
I also think it'll add more value on a 3G Note than a Wi-Fi because it'll be online all the time and Google Now can collect more behavioral info. I haven't used it yet so still don't fully understand what it does, how it does it, or why I need it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These are the first 3 serious fine digital paintings I did with my Note II using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and the S Pen. This is taking advantage of the S Pen's Wacom digitizer system with 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. It just means you can control lines or brush thicknesses on the fly.

It should be able to install. There is a tablet version and that would not show up in the Note as option. Have you tried to install Sketchbook Express (free)? That should work as well as the pro. I previously installed them on the first Galaxy Note.

Can you do that if you are not rooted and if so how?
This is really amazing man! I haven't seen anything like this for the note 2 yet I look forward to your future posting in this thread of your art you made on the note 2.
Tried it (to change the LCD density) but I couldn't install it from google play, the app doesn't show even if i search for it. On the other hand, I really liked the screen with the new density! Too bad I had to change the launcher (feels off, just like the camera) and the alarm app (the native one gave me a force close). But what really annoys me is the size of the s pen pointer (while hovering above the screen). Is there any way to increase the radius of the spen pointer?
Crazy good! I could never do that... very impressed!

Has anyone noticed their Gmail app doesn't seem set up correctly for this screen?
When selecting emails to delete the Blue highlight seems to cover the top bar. Also it seems to not fully register when selecting multiple emails.

Yeah, I noticed that too, strange little bug.
I noticed that today!
But what's even worst is that if I setup Gmail as a widget either on the lockscreen or launcher, it makes my G2 so unstable to the point of starting to lag and eventually self reboot!
If I take the gmail widget's down, all seems normal again.
What app are people using instead if any.

This is a fairly common bug with 1080p screened devices. My new Nexus 7 and Galaxy S4 GPe did the same.

That's a bit crap. Would have thought they'd iron things like that out especially with the way mobile screens are going.
I'm rooted, so I just deleted gmail then added a modded (clear) one to data/app and rebooted. Now I'm happy!

Did anyone try the aspect ratio corrections settings in display? LG was pretty awesome by putting a fix for apps that dont display correctly. My wife's pogo game would load to a black screen then show weird text.. We went to app settings and aspect ratio correction, selected pogo, ran the game.. PERFECT..
Try that with the Gmail.. Should work.. LG was already on the ball with this.

UPDATED: Matched the resolution of the Galaxy S5
I was given at work a Galaxy S4 and love how great it's screen is. So I started to look into replicating the screen resolution of our Grand to match the S4. I was amazed on how much better it can be. I did see a thread in here in which using a list of apps and hacks it can be done, but I have found a simple app and launcher that can serve as a simple 1 - 2 process.
I will briefly state what I have done and the results and as time progresses (due to my lack of spare time) I will post pics and a more thorough guide.

This is the configuration Samsung should have used on our devices! The quality is crisp, resembles more that Galaxy Note series in which more info is available on our screens.
REQUEST: I will be looking into Modding the Google Experience Launcher in order to fix icon problems. But I also have a temporary solution for that. I remember seeing some apk's of different Google Launcher with screen resolutions around, but I cant find them now. If you know a fix, please chime in.
THIS MOD IS FOR ROOTED DEVICES, I'm currently running this mod on COSMIC CM 4.4.4
- The first thing you will need is a simple app from the Play Store called texdroider_dpi. Once installed, set the 'New Dpi" to 220, 'Apply', then Reboot. Immediately see throught the user interface how things seems to fit our screens better, text is more easily read, and in my case, it might be a placebo effect, but things seem to even load better.
Download: texdroider Play Store
- Since the launcher is for mdpi devices, the icons on the Google Launcher will look a bit blurred and out of proportions. Since I havent taken the time to tweak for this, I went ahead and tried several launchers. Perhaps other will do, but for now I am using the ASUS ZenUI Launcher. It seems to keep the icons at proper resolutions
Download: ASUS ZenUI Launcher xda_hasher
UPDATE: I am testing different launchers, ranging from the Yahoo! Aviate to a Galaxy S5 launcher.
Now the Galaxy Grand will have the resolution of the Galaxy S5. Enjoy.
I promise to better the thread in a matter of hours and days, but in the mean time, give it a go.

I know! I wish i knew this from the past. I am now testing some new launchers, I like Yahoo! Aviate because if it's simplicity and how it creates a 'page' per activity (music, morning, work, etc), and several others like Everything Me (kinda complicated) which don't distort the icons.
I will update soon my findings.

Is there any place where all the different health apps are compared? We got SHealth, LG Fit, Google Fit... never mind dedicated apps like Runkeeper vs Runtastic (I don't know the difference between those either, except that I have used Runkeeper and not Runtastic).
I don't mind manually entering stuff. I don't really trust the calorie estimates on my Gear Fit 2, and I only use it to track steps, something I don't necessarily need aggregated. If I did need it aggregated, of course, I could probably be bothered to enter it manually if one app was markedly better.
I feel like all I'm seeing right now are just "22 best fitness apps" and they don't really care about apples-to-apples comparisons, even.
I don't use them so I wouldnt know. I just installed it to ensure it works lol
