Hello everyone
The last few day I noticed that my N4 is not showing the quick reply or call options when I receive a text message in my notification tray. I have been looking for the setting or maybe some how to turn it on but nothing. I use this often and was wondering if u guys can help me. I'm running the stick ROM just rooted.....Help please

Two-finger swiping downward on the notifications themselves should display them in full.
Messaging-settings-check notifications is checked?
Isn't this only in custom rom like cm10.1?

I did try it and nothing =\ I'm just going to try reinstalling the apk... Yeah notification is checked

It's only in custom roms or grab the mms.apk in the apps section..

Does anyone know of a way to disable this? At my home I have no reception and I'd like to disable it since it takes a sizable amount of space in the notification menu.

This happened to me on my one x and now nexus. Simply click the notification and choose the option to choose network automatically. Shouldn't get the message after that.

thanks, it works like magic..
im on samsung galaxy s2
Got my shiny s4 the other day, all working well.
Now I did get an ota yesterday, don't know if this has anything to do with my issue.
The first day I could pull down the notifications area with two fingers to get all the quick settings.
Then there was all twenty or so toggles.
Now it's just the 7 basic ones.
And I can't add more from the settings, unless there is some hidden menus...
Any help appreciated!

I also have this issue. I had loads of toggles when first got phone then all of a sudden I only have 7. No toggle for air view, ect
Okay, good to know I'm not they only one...
But what to do?
Going for root and a custom Rom as soon as there is somethin stable out there.

Wild guess, have you turned on Talkback under Accessibility?
Nope, no talkback...

Mine all disappeared once, and I had no toggles at all.
A factory reset brought them back up again.
Did you root and backup?

You're using the title bar for your message...
Anyway, Go to Settings->Apps->Play Music->Delete Cache->Delete data.
Dont know the options for sure but just the 2 buttons dat have 'Delete' on them. NOT 'Delete Updates' though try that after trying the above first!

Anyone know of a few good ones out there? I've tried a few but they didn't seem to work. I'm tired of the ugly message box when I get a text etc.

That's one of the ones I tried but it was weird. It would notify me of missed calls but I would still get the stock SMS notification (yellow box) also, the missed calls would only clear from my lock screen if I pulled down my notification bar. I'll give it another shot.

I just tried this one. I added email, missed calls and SMS but I'm still getting the stock text message notification. It is showing me email though.

I was able to get the dash clock one to work but how do I make it my default lock screen? Every time I lock my phone it goes back to the stock lock screen. When I long press the lock screen I can cycle between the 2 lock screens but I can't "trash" the stock one like I can the dash clock one. I also can't change the order of them. I though maybe if I placed the dash clock in front of the stock it would set as default...no dice.

Move the dash clock one all the way to the right.

You can try Knock2+ It's very similar to Active Display.

what rom are you on? if there is an option in the lockscreen settings to use aosp or touchwiz lockscreen choose touchwiz and on your lockscreen touch and hold the clock you want to remove and remove it. click the plus sign symbol and add dashclock. go into your messaging app, go into settings and uncheck the option to "preview message". that should fix your problem
I used lockerpro lock screen it works really good. Also used dynamic notifications its simple and just like the moto x active notifications. I don't use anything anymore just stock light notification.

Why dont you post the full message.
I have a clue of what it might be, but I cant be ceirtan..
It's a shield in my notification bar and a message pops up saying just stopped an app from accessing your information with an option to view apps but it takes you to all your apps and doesn't identify which app..

Go to setting, general, about device, check for the latest software update. Mine are solved after installing the latest MJ7 firmware.

Is that not knox doing its 'thang'?
Yep, that's Knox.
It's either Knox or if you're on T-Mobile it's Lookout. Is the shield a gold color or is it green?
