This depends on many factors. But I get 4 hours with 3g all day, or 6 with wifi. But people say my phone is crippled so whatever

No screenshot handy but average 4-5 hours screen on time depending on WiFi/radio signal. T-Mobile U.S.

Hey guys, prospective owner here, want to know how people are finding the battery life after a few weeks of owning the phone now. And is there a likelihood we will see google patch it in the near future to fix some issues?
Mines pretty good and I usually get 4 hr screen time and like 17 hr on battery so yep not to bad I did about 3 charge cycles on it but yep.

Ah that's not too bad at all is that on stock rom and kernal? I would say I use aout 2-3 hours of screen on time in a day. Any experience with the Note 2? Having to chose between the two
I suggest checking the battery life thread

Anyone?

Almost 15 hours and you're still at 17%? You have nothing to worry about.
But if you are a worrier, just click the voice call line and it'll give you full details of usage. Just remember that screen shows relative battery drain, not absolute.

Install better battery stats, and inspect what your wakelocks are.
Thanks for the help guys. I decided to factory reset and try a new rom thanks anyway

I'm just wondering what other peoples screen time is once they hit 10% battery mines usually just shy of 3 hours I can never make it past 3 hours and it kind of frustrating cause my S2 got about 4 and this only shy of 3. Like I said I was just wondering what other peoples screen times are. Feel free to post screenshots of times lol

I get just over 1 hour of screen time if I am lucky. This is basically the same as it was on my Galaxy Nexus and Sensation 4G.

Nope, fully stock non rooted. No weird apps, no FB, no streaming, no music or anything else.

Why is my battery time so bad I only get about 3 hours of sot and about 16 of battery life... Is my nexus 4 defected or is it just my set up? I am using PA 3.56 with the kernel it comes with, how good is your battery life? And should I get an RMA?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Flash Franco kernel milestone 2. I get 5 hours of screen on time.

3hrs sot is not bad for this phone.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
SOT is really subject to usage. With a lot of gaming, you could see 2 hours or less. Also has a lot to do with your signal if you're not on Wifi. 3 hours isn't bad, and doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong with your phone or ROM. I've personally never gotten much more than that.

Agreed. No need to RMA, need to get another phone
People with much longer times don't use it as a smartphone, believe me!
Also, we can see that your signal reception isn't good, and that for sure will hit the battery time hard!
Stock, rooted, Franco kernel

This is why people worry about getting 3 hours SOT. No demanding apps... Can't see network signal.

I am using my first full charge now so I cannot say yet.
Anyone have some stats yet?

I have 4 hours of on screen time so far and battery at 31. This thing is a beast! Phone had been on battery for 12 hours. I am going to run it till dead then charge to full again to test. Do far very happy with battery.

I am at 4 hrs and 14 mins of screen time with 25% left. Impressive!

Really wish more reviewers compared phone battery usage better. The best site I found is gsmarena.com blog. Sadly they usually release battery results about a month after a phone releases. Would love to see how this compares to the s4.

Battery life much better than S4 mainly due to screen and processors. Battery life on this phone is a strength. Previous phones include S4, LG Optimus Pro and Note 2.

What was your typical on screen time with s4 vs motox?
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
Moto X is the only phone I've ever had where it beats 5 hours of screen time. I'm getting an hour extra of screen time. Of course, still too early to tell. On the S4 I would get close to 4 hours of screen time on average.

This is full-time on wifi presumably?
If/when you are available to, can you run 1 charge on LTE only?
I got almost 6 hours on screen time in 15 hours today. Light, medium use. Wifi was on a lot, blue tooth on, some gps, some camera. No gaming at all. Tons of YouTube videos.

Love this phone btw. Between the Motorola Connect, hands free Google Now, excellent battery, and notifications we have a serious phone here.

Is anyone willing to turn active notifications and voice control off for a charge? I'm curious how long it will last with that stuff off.

It's probably affecting battery so lightly that it wouldn't make a difference.
Now what I want to see is someone test the battery on straight H+ or LTE.

The motorola connect, active notifications and the secured bluetooth to remove the passlock is probably the main reasons i kinda want this phone.
But ..F ATT......damn them for getting those colors exclusive.

Mobilesyrup.com tryed it and gain a half hour on his test. But for a full day of use, don't think that would make a noticeable difference.

Today is the first full day using my phone. I get up at 3:30 am. I would consider myself a moderate user even though I'm constantly on my phone checking emails etc for work. I check my news/social apps pretty constantly through out the day as well. No heavy video or gaming. It's 5:19 pm now and the phone is at 43% battery. As an average user I have to say I'm blown away by the battery. I'm coming from a galaxy s3.

i mean hours. how many hours of screen on time did you have. that's one of the most important clues to battery life.
thanks!
Please please everyone post your screen on time, how many hours of display. Its THE most important number.
