Fonts & LED? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Where can we get extra fonts that work on the S4?
Can you change the colour of the notification LED without using a 3rd party sortware?

So I take it that's a no for the LED's?
Tried iFont - Too much Chinese fonts & I don't like the look of the app.
I was hoping for some apk's like I used on the S3. just install & go.

Light Flow is much more costumisable than the standard LED notifications, there is a free and paid version.

I've experienced that LightFlow causes the talkback issue.
I suggest the app Light manager for the LED.

Yeah I have had that, infuriating.

Anyone update on the fonts - Anywhere we can get more fonts to install?

I used rom toolbox for changeing fonts... works as it should...

When i use LightFlow I have problem with talkback. Will that be still a problem if I install another launcher like nova launcher or Apex?

Yeah I guess that wouldn't change anything. We have to wait until Samsung fixes the issue. But you could test it and then report? If you can solve the issue with an other launcher then I'll forget touchwiz.

Try the following:
Settings>My device> display> Font style > get fonts online
Or search in the playstore 'FlipFonts'.
You can use the fonts from the play store but many of them aren't for free

Suddenly getting badges on notification...

Out of the blue, I am getting these on every notification now. The number doesn't change (if that IS a number inside of the red dot.)
Just wondering if anyone has any idea what it is? It's not from Nova Launcher and it's def not a system setting.

Has nothing to do with GoSMS. The badges are showing on email, tapatalk, instagram, etc. notifications as well.

I believe it's from StolenVW's systemui tweaks. I started getting them too after I installed his mod

I went back to the older SystemUI.apk and now I have no badges. None on GoSMS either, so I don't think they are enabled automatically on GoSMS.
With the modified SystemUI.apk, I get those red badges on ALL incoming notifications.

Disable screen-on for Stock Messaging app notification

I like the stock app for its pop-over notification, but I hate the screen-on. Is there a way to turn just that piece off?
I am rooted, so I don't know if maybe there is a db value I can flip or a method call I can short-circuit...

[Q] Dark Theme For DIALER?

Is there a way to change the dialer to a dark theme instead of bright white?

Try out XBackground Xposed Module
I didn't test it yet on our device but I was going to do the same once I had time and backups ran
I think I must be the only person that actually likes the white dialer.

This works on most backgrounds, but then the text is unreadable.
I tried RocketDial - horrible. Had a one second delay after each key press.

You can try an xposed theme if you haven't already. Some of these will change the dialer. It will also theme other stuff so that may be good or bad depending on your taste.
If interested, check the xtheme thread in the Android Theme section.
Tried xtheme. Works for system menus and what not but not dialer. thanks for the suggestion

There are a few xthemes that changed my dialer - Simplicity, Simplex, Gem Flat.
Maybe these don't work for everyone though.

I think it's that some people like light colors and some dark and it does show through the clothing you wear day to day. I prefer dark colors on my phone.

Have you tried clearing the cache?
But i don't think this is a problem. I think it's a new 4.4.2 feature that cannot be disabled. Maybe I didn't describe my problem right. When someone calls me and I don't pick up you can see the missed call in a big notification rectangle in the lock screen. This means that someone can just take your phone and see who called you even if you don't want to. I try to find any setting to disable this but it looks like it's a widget in the lock screen.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
If you can't disable it in the settings and the developer didn't include an option for that there is no way to hide it.

You think if I use another launcher it will not do that?
Edit : just tried another launcher and it still does the same thing.

I think what you have on your lockscreen is a lockcreen widget. Have you tried disabling Lockscreen widgets?
Maybe if it is a standalone widget it can be removed from the screen. Try and report back.

Is there any way to not have the icons blurred on the lockscreen. I am using this mod instead of the other one from a different post that has no blur. I use a the Samsung sans font so the other mod would make me change the font completely. Good work though. Love it.!
