Hello all,
So really enjoying the S4 but last few days after the endless google app updates I've noticed the phone get a little slow at times. Swiping the notifications bar down or going through home screens has gotten laggy now. Also opening the task manager I notice the google music app open when I havent touched it?
Has anyone else noticed this at all, I have a unlocked S4 UK.
Cheers
I've also noticed the same problems with my t889 note 2.

Hi all, I purchased the XDA Premium HD (Tablet) version of the XDA app for just over £1 I think. It was a good few months ago when purchased.
Anyway, just curious is anyone having lots of random Force Closes?
Mine almost force closes once/twice a day. And thats opening it about 4 times a day, so around half the time it Force Closes.
Also, I've noticed that when you add the forums to your home screen, like the hotlink to Nexus 7 forums to your homescreen on the device, it rarely actually takes me to the actual specific forum and instead either FORCE CLOSES AGAIN, or takes me to the home of XDA.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Its nothing to do with 4.2 as it was happening before hand.
THANKS ALL !
Has anyone else here who owns a xoom noticing bad lag when using Flipboard, Google Currents and Google +. Seriously mine lags bad even say if I type on the keyboard and when Im typing a sentence I have to wait 2 or so seconds for a letter to be inputted by a keystroke, btw I'm using Swiftkey for Android tablet.
But this lag is getting on my nerves lately especially with Flipboard and Google Currents.
Also it seems to load a few stuff that comes into my taskbar onto the bottom where my clock is eg my email messages, any technology news etc in which i think is normal.

Try disabling Currents. It's a hog, and if you're using Flipboard and Google+ then Currents isn't all that relevant.

same issues for me, i bet it's the crappy 4.0.4 ICS version build by Motorola, because i had similar issues with other appications too, and i always keep no widgets and try to keep RAM free, but even with a reboot it happens frequently.
i'm going to try using the stock keyboard and uninstall swiftkey, but i how i wish they unlock that d***n bootloader!
Another good option to replace Flipboard or currents is 'Pulse' - something else you can look into
How do I disable Currents
Thanks

This also seemed to happen to mine when i upgraded to ICS a while back, I'm now waiting for the Jellybean updated, F knows when.
Why will you uninstall Swiftkey. I use it on mine and love it also use some other keyboards suh as Kii etc.

Hi,
On my previous Galaxy S device I had this app installed and I was able to add the widget to home screen. When i try on the S4, the widget isn't listed. Anyone know how to get the IMDb widget back on S4? TIA

AFAIK, the IMDB app "widget" was killed off by IMDB. I know I was looking for it about six months ago for my Galaxy S3 and that's what I'd heard.
Sucks too, because it would have gotten a lot of useage from me.
I hope this is not the case, but it would explain why I can't get it back...
Hi there folks .. been using the Nexus 10 for the past few days. All stock settings with minor apps installed. But I noticed a few times on random basis the machine just restarts by itself. All restart happened when I was browsing on Chrome. Latest was just this morning I was reviewing some sites on the comparison of browsers from different source and suddenly just restarted for no apparent reason.
No big deal for me but don't feel nice. Any way to check or find out what's causing it to restart and how to stop it??
Chrome has never played nice with my tablet...I would highly suggest using a different browser
I only have random reboots in Chrome now. I think its memory-related, but not sure
4.3 fixed the memory leak related reboots.

Thanks .. I'm already running 4.3 on my Nexus 10. I just needed to ensure this is really Chrome problem. I could install other browsers to try. Please share if others are also experiencing the same problem.

I've seen people posting about it crashing, Not had it myself (yet?) - what firmware are you using? - Tried clearing cache/data etc?
Crashed on both mj1 and MJ7...
MJ7 is much worse though.. Can barely flip one page before it crashes

Yes, same here.
Never faced this issue with my previous phones.
Most fastest way to trigger it is to launch it and click on any news / tab right away.
If you launch it, and wait for awhile before clicking on anything, it should work properly, but it is quite irritating.
It is the same from mj1 to mj7.
I decided to get my news elsewhere.. -.-

My old phone did it all the time. Note 3 has been rock solid so far
I face crashes when I open Flipboard using the widget. (Nd this started the update to MJ7 I think)
When i directly launch it from the app drawer, no issues seen so far.
