Yes.
Get the ROM, find for framework-res.apk, decompile it, grab the navbar pngs, transfer it to your phone, get an app called softkeyz from the themes and app section and apply it.
Wallpaper should be in framework-res too.

What will happen if I will replace the entire framework-res.apk ?
It will likely boot loop as many of the dependencies from the paranoid framework won't be in the other one

Nice one. It looks less "weird" than the cyanbread
Like the theme, but what's whit the thing spinning around the android in the notifications? Drags the perfomance down, it lags.

I made a version for you without the notificationbar animation
I tried by placing the framework apk into the phone without changing the fonts. But the time display in the top right become black (no time display with the black background). Is it normal?
No.
Try this:
1. Download the theme
2. Extract it and delete the font folder.
3. Move the changed theme to your phone and flash it.

I installed by placing the extracted framework-res.apk to /system/framework with proper permission. Maybe ROM related? I am on a B137 ROM.

That's kinda a silly question mate. Replace the SystemUI.apk of that rom with yours, and also insert lidroid-res.apk in your framework. Don't do the changes directly, make a flashable zip (there's a guide by kurotsugi) and flash it.
Btw, i don't really know if this has been tried before.

Here it is - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669489. Btw, i expected you to search. Do remember that next time.
And about the other thing you referred to, i suppose you refer to the theme, and i really don't know much about that! But there are two other apks, framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk in /system/framework which are used for theming along with SystemUI.apk . You can decompile them and check for yourself.

I want to port the lidroid toggles from Simplicity to USSRv7. How would I do this? I have the lidroid res, system ui, and framework res apks.
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
Change the file extension of lidriod-res.apk to zip
Unzip lidriod-res.zip
goto res/drawable-hdpi
Copy the toggles pngs only
Past them to your unzipped res/drawable-hdpi
zip back up and change extention back to apk
put in flashable zip and flash with system mounted
I just replaced my lidroidres.apk with the one from the ROM I wanted and it worked! Thanks though

Yes just replace lidroid-res.apk to change toggles if your rom uses lidriod in its ui
Any problems just unzip the lidroid-res.apk of the toggles you want & past them into one from your rom

Well I Read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251719 but when I try to open .jar file I don't get classes.dex file.
- Copy *.jar file to apktool folder (make sure is the same folder). for example : android.policy.jar
- Open android.policy.jar using Winrar or 7zip and extract classes.dex file
- Drag & drop classes.dex to Quick-Baksmali.cmd (decompile process)
- wait and you will see a folder with the name "classout"
- now you can start editing smali file on classout folder (use Notepad++ for editing it)
- After editing is complete, Drag & drop classout folder to Quick-Smali.cmd (recompile process)
Hey if someone could link me to theme chooser, that'd be awesome. I'm talking about the CM one. Also, what would be the necessary build.prop tweaks that would make it work?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't believe you would be able to get it to work without the CM framework and system files. It would take more than a simple build prop tweak to get it to work if at all. Unless you want to build CM from source you're only other option is to flash CM to use theme chooser.

You can extract the apk from a downloaded version of CM using 7zip if you really want the apk. You can install it but it won't do anything without the framework to support it. Some of the custom launchers have themes you can download from the playstore that might be an option for you if you want a new theme. I would browse in the theme section for advice.

Its been over 2 years since I built or modified a ROM but its not as simple as just dragging and dropping framework-res and systemui versions you want into a ROM. There may be other custom ROM's out there with theme chooser if the dev used CM source to build his ROM but tehn why not just use CM? The easiest way I know of to theme a phone is to use a custom launcher and choose a theme off the play store or use an app like UCCW and again look for themes for it in the playstore. UCCW (ultimate custom clock widget) isn't the most user friendly app but it gets the job done. And make sure you back up your phone before making any changes using launchers or theme apps for if they modify systemui.apk or framework-res.apk in any way those changes can't be easily reversed. Always have a backup of your stock ROM.
