When an app is pinned in halo))) app , it does not show up when you check notifications. But in the pie you can see the apps that are pinned, any way to avoid this ? Please

Probably not. Halo is still in alpha stages. Live with it, or just don't use it.

Thanks, I wonder why no one complained / mentioned about it still ??

[TIP] Long pressing notification toggles

Hey guys,
I found out something new yesterday; when you click a notification toggle for a 'long' time it opens the according settingsmenu.
I thought I might share this with you guys as I imagine there are people that don't know about this yet, as was the case with me!

This was added in the October's Jelly Bean 4.1 update. I've been using since and it's VERY useful.

It is an awesome feature, I only found out when someone on the Nexus 4 forums was talking about features they missed from the S3.

I know right, I love how this device can keep amazing me, once in a while. Never had that with any other phones I had.
Also: bump for the people that don't know this cool little trick -yet.
I like this too. New since jb update, and a good one. My favorite feature though is when you slide your finger across the indicator dots at the bottom of the home screen to quickly scroll through the home screens.

Persistent notifications?

Is there anyway to get persistent notifications? I am using jellybro and my wife is still stock. Neither ROM seems to support the feature.
I want my phone to beep every few minutes to remind me of missed calls and text messages.

Exactly! You are the man! Don't understand why such a basic feature was removed from android. Doesn't seem like I should need an app for this. Thanks a million!

There we go....
This app seems to do things that tasker can already do...
In fact, this app does only two things.. Turns WiFi on or off, and turns sync on or off.
Disappointing. I was expected some CPU management.
Well at least it's free. But I still say save your time and just get tasker which does way more anyway.

The only thing it needs to "learn" is when you're home or at work and how often you check apps that need to sync. Lol.

Quiet hours??

Today I read a post that talked about some app of quiet hours.
I my mind is not bad I remember that android had this on 4.0.4???? Am I wrong? Cause my nexus 4 on 4.2.2 doesn't have it.
Thanks

Not on stock. CM has had it since gingerbread though. Maybe even froyo.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
PA must have added it in because I have it and I'm running PA.
You could also use the app called - Battery Widget. It has the feature to set up quiet hours. You could also setup a tasker script for the same.
Thanks , mm yeah, I thought that was a stock option.
It would be nice google to add it.

Google just puts the bare minimum and if you want more. Do it yourself and install a app or flash a custom rom. That's the joy of having android, the possibilities of adding things yourself
I personally don't use profiles.

[Q] Help - How to change background color of call options

Good morning everyone, I am new user and just purchase the Nexus 4 ...
I would like to make one question ...
When I get calls a black bar appears with the answer options ... how make to that bar stay transparent? Is there any MOD?
Because I leave most of the contacts with photos in high resolution and then it covers the whole picture.
Thank you
Ha! You read my mind. I was going to ask that question also. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, Lu. But if anyone is reading this, and knows of a solution, please answer in this thread
Thanks!

No option but to use a custom ROM or full screen caller id like apps.
Stock ROM is still having this bug.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
got it
Until now this was the only thing that bothered me was that Stock ROM 4.3 ..
Anyone else?
Is it custom ROM specific? Don't recall seeing full screen caller ID on Cyanogen or AOKP
