Hello,
I just got my Nexus 10, and i'm in need of some app..
- eBook reader (which also reads pdf)
- PDF reader which allows you to fill in form and put a signature?
- Music player (which allows airplay?)
Also post your favorite apps that you are using now!
using:
Twitter/facebook
tapatalk HD
dropbox
DsVideo
Gmail
As you see not much ! What apps should I install :victory:
PDFs: Mantano for style and smooth transitions, EBookDroid for accuracy and reliability (and for djvu files).
Mantano can also read epubs.
Airplay: Airbubble should do the trick.
These are a few of my favorites app that haven't been mentioned
Cerberus
Drippler Nexus 10
Helium
MX Player
Sidebar Pro
Snapseed
Tablified Market HD
Zooper Widget Pro
Mantano superb app! Thx for that one

I read some reviews, and tried some. Feedr seems to be the best.
I use Google Reader, and I'm very happy with it. The only exception are podcasts, where I use the excellent BeyondPod . BeyondPod also syncs with Google Reader btw.

Hi all,
I'm looking forward to get my Tab 7.7 16Gt 3G/Wi-Fi and I like to get some app recommendations, free or non-free.
It will be mostly used while travelling so apps should work without Internet connection and in flight mode.
So far my list has:
- Kindle for Android
- Astro File Manager
- Sygic GPS or NAVIGON for Android
I want to:
- View photos
- Watch movies
- View PDF documents
- View/edit Word 2010 documents
- Play some games
As noted they have to be usable in flight mode.
Other must have apps ?
TIA

Some MUST HAVE apps for the Samsung 7.7:
The stock Gallery is good enough to view photos. File Expert is also an option.
VPlayer, MX Player, Dice Player can play almost any media files you throw at it including mkv files.
Polaris Office is an inbuild app to view or edit Word documents. You can get 3rd party apps like Quick Office Pro and Office Suite too.
For PDF: EzPDF, Repligo
Games: Angry bird is everyone's favorite, esp angry bird space. Pool 3D pro, Shadowgun, card games like solitaire.
Must have apps if your Phone is rooted:
Titanium Backup pro
Root Explorer
Superuser
Busybox
Ditch the Stock touchwiz launcher and install ADW launcher EX
^ agreed. Touchwiz sux.
You may also want to invest in a quality SD card (if you haven't already). Depending on video quality(Mbps)...expect about 300 min worth of movie storage or 500 min of music @ 13mbps. You can store more than this but you will degrade quality with lower transfer rates.
If you do decide to root your device, you can also save on precious battery life by adding a battery managment app like JuiceDefender.
I would recommend you to perform the following first before everything else:
1. Get root
2. Install GO Launcher HD (Beta) and make it as default
Some would recommend ADW Launcher EX, but I found GO Launcher HD (Not the EX one) more responsive with less memory footprint. You may compare before decide.
I have done the search but all I see are people talking about using their Google Play app to view magazines bought from the Google Play store. I have several magazines in PDF format that I would like to read on my Nexus 7. The problem is I have no idea where to view/read them.
I downloaded one of my free magazines from Google play (Esquire) and it looks great, but the problem is I cannot see/find it on the device when I us Airdroid to check the files on my Nexus 7.
So I uploaded a personal PDF file (magazine) to where I thought the SD card/Android/Data/Com.Google.apps.magazines/files but no dice.
Does anyone have a suggestion on if Google magazines allows you to view personal files or if not what app is best for viewing magazine PDFs?
Thanks.
Play Books can only access content from the Play Store. Other content cannot be sideloaded into it. For .pdf try Mantano, Aldiko, ezPDF, or Adobe Reader.
I prefer Mantano.
I downloaded the Kindle App since if im going to download a book, it will probably be from amazon. If you have the app downloaded, you can plug your Nexus 7 into the computer, and put the .pdf files into the folder that says kindle. Then they will show up in your kindle library, along with any other books or magazines you download from amazon
Google should rethink openness of google play
Google definitely needs to rethink their strategy involving 3rd party purchased material. if i have a magazine or book that i want to read on my nexus 7, i shouldn't have to download someone else's app to read it. I now have to go download the kindle app. That promotes amazon and takes away from google books business. We can upload mp3s to google music, why not magazines or books?
Even apple has a built in PDF reader and PDF book shelf in iBooks for your third party PDF's so I'm thinking it's very possible that eventually google will incorporate that feature.

Yes. I downloaded a few .pdf magazines to check them out.
I used a downloaded file explorer to navigate to them on the storage 'card' and opened them that way.
I have installed the kindle app but can not see the kindle folder ! where will it be ?
ok now it shows up

With Kvisoft PDF to flash magazine maker, readers can read PDF magazine in a different way: flash flip pages with flipping animation. No app is needed to install on mobile Nexus. Just convert PDF magazine to flash and upload it, then it can be viewed online on NEXUS anywhere and anytime.
PDF is too easy to copy. That is not suitable for protecting copyright. Publishers and digital magazine maker should think about a safe method to publish e-magazine. SWF flash magazine helps to protect copyright and enable better reading experience.
Moon+reader does just about every file format including PDF. It also easily integrates with drop box and Google drive. After trying all other reader programs I find moon to be the most versatile and really easy to use.

well, after several tries, finally I decide to use XFlip pro software to create view personal files or if not what app is best for viewing magazine PDFs on any mobile devices.
ezPDF Reader
I personally use ezPDF Reader for viewing magazines. I like the flipping effect. Also, Adobe Reader is pretty good and fast.
I found pen window to be severely lacking when I first bought my Note 3 Sprint version...
that is until I found a way to open other apps in it.
Now I use Gmail, Officesuite, Maps, Papryus, Greader Pro, Chrome, and Dolphin quite often, and it is quite useful!
I found it to be simple enough to open Pen window (especially with "pen window launcher")
then open "Internet"
from there I can click on the play store link of my choosing
then click "Play store" when asked "complete action using"...Just once
then open.
now I have whichever app I need as a pen window, which adds excellent functionality to this phone!
I made that .htm file for myself but you can click on any play store link and try your favorite apps yourself.
Would be brilliant if worked for me but when i click open on the app it just keeps the play Store in the pen window and opens the app in the main Screen
