some of my friends have this phone and it only happens to mine for some reason. maybe a faulty handset?
it sounds like the vibrator part inside the phone is faulty does it vibrate when phone is on ?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
the phone is perfect apart from that noise.
although i did notice if i shake it it does vibrate for no reason.
but yes i think the vibrator is faulty or something inside is loose
The camera can make that noise if it is having trouble focusing, does your camera work OK, can you tell what part of the phone the noise is coming from?
John.

I've had some strange issues with my note 3 and wonder if anyone else has similar
My note 3 takes random screen captures or will dial one of my contacts without notice
I have a pattern lock screen so I know my phone isn't unlocking
Anyone else having similar ?

Had some issues with mine today,I did Restore to Default and things are working fine, just try though and you could be lucky or else wait for the OTA update to fix the issue!
So glad it's not just me .. Did you reset your whole phone to default ie factory reset or just the phone settings and if the phone how did you do it ?
I've added an app called call confirm to ensure I don't accidently dial
What a weird issue ?

Thanks for letting me know about that app and I did factory reset,I use my iphone a lot so used the term Restore to Default. The thing is you have to delete everything off your phone if u got it and u should be ok I believe!
When the original Galaxy Note arrived, there was a problem called Ghost touch, which operated screen touch on its own and it affected only 1/3rd of owners so Note series is prone to such issues, dont worry!
Your welcome will we have had our fair share of issues reboot and ghost dialing .. Not good for a flagship handset but im sure Sammy will sort it ..... Glad it's bit a fault but probably a software issue which will be fixed in time to done
Love the note 3 had one and two and so far bar a few gremlins this is the best handset so far

Hey,its alright buddy!Ahh,I have had some worst issues with my S4 and took many hours to sort it out despite being an E&C engineer so this is less than a problem for me.Basically yes, facing such issues on flagship handsets gives us the creep but we cant help.
Yes,its one of the best handsets, hopefully some rooting in the near future.
Best of luck!

I use an iphone 5 too and I agree that the screen is a bit small and thats one of the reasons why people are stuck with Android but its really cool and both have advantages over each other.
Anyway,where are you from,buddy?
Can anyone explain to me why all the reviews for the camera and pictures I see from others note seem to be amazing yet all I seem to get is grainy images am I missing something?

For me turning off the night stabilisation mode & setting auto flash made it better in low light places. Can't say I've had any issues with daylight photos.

maybe different setting
and maybe problem with ur variant and will solve by an update
and also it can be hardware problem in last step IF u become sure no software problem
so
1. play with settings
2. search for other users that exactly in same firmware with u and compare photo ...
3. if u find any different (bad quality in urs) try to flash another stock rom (from another regions)
4. if nothing change take it for service to check lens
:good:

The camera has Jeckel and Hyde characteristics.Outdoor shots are superb for a smartphone but when you venture indoor or at night,it takes pretty awful photos.Smart Stabalisation brightens things up and limits noise but you lose all detail. If you crop in, faces and objects look like cartoon drawings. There is only so much you can do with a small sensor so I think the N3 needs a dedicated night mode and better software.don't hold your breath though.Samsung will fix this issue up but only when the N4 arrives with their isocell technology.
If you want decent photos at night you need to use the flash but the flash doesn't work well past 10 ft.

ok, thanks for your response, lets wait another people response from this forum
You can hear this sound when you shake the phone in many different smartphones (iPhone included). I am not sure about it but I have read many forums over the years saying that it is not a flaw at all and it has something to do with the camera lens.
My advice is that if your phone is ok don't pay attention to it.

but it can break the lens if I shake continuously ? I mean in daily use, it can shake without I realize, when I put it in my pocket when I walk, when I put it in my car when I drive. yes, like you said, when I open camera and I shake or knock on side of the phone, this sound reduced. thanks for your response

I had read as I remember exactly the opposite of your fear about it. They manufacture it loose just to give the camera space to perform in order not to malfunction.
Put your phone near your ear and open the camera app. You will hear a soft click in the camera area [emoji6]
In other words there is no way camera will break if you shake it even intentionally.
