I also like seeing a visual(number) battery indicator vs the bar that doesn't indicate the battery life left.

Greenify has worked pretty well for me. Allows you to choose apps you don't want automatically pulling data and hibernate them.

I've had good results with Battery Guru which is specifically designed for the Snap Dragon processor in our phones.

It takes 3 days to learn your behaviors and habits so that it can better serve you. At any rate, why should it matter because at the point when you are asking, you don't have anything at the current time so what difference does it make to wait while it learns?

Actually these small applications, which claim to bring the economy to the battery, contrary, I'm sure that more it consumes the battery, in their trying to control the applications and the consumption.

Good bye Kindle Fire.

Hey guys. Ahh the Kindle Fire. My first android tablet and obviously not my last it did me so good but now I'm gonna have to give it to my dad I just bought myself a nexus 7. I have to admit you guys made that old piece of s*** amazon firmware into something I never thought could work. you made that kindle into something that I never thought it could be but still I have to admit the nexus 7 is just so much better and I'll probably still be here but I'm gonna be over the nexus seven forums more. Thank you guys so much you have helped show me just why android triumphs over iOS.

People are just too paranoid about this kind of crap. So they collect information and target ads based on your interests. Would you prefer blind random ads?
I'll have to give Google a call tomorrow so I know where to send the tin foil hat I just made for you.

If you are truly paranoid...you would not be on this board. I love my KF...and Android....and Google. Does @pple offer anything open source? You have to sign up for EVERYTHING nowadays, so how does one omit themselves from the data collection? Get off everything and live off the grid. I'd rather mull around and see what trouble I can cause, and devices I can root. I'm getting the N7 too...but my KF still has years of use in my household. All I have to do is leave it in plain sight, and people gravitate like monkies to bananers.

Uhhh.... Apple tracking fiasco? Are you talking about the one where Google circumvented Safari's privacy settings and was subsequently fined 4 million for?
Google is doing some scary stuff if u want to look at the privacy settings for Chrome extensions made by Google. I completely understand the viewpoint of wanting nothing to do with Google. I no longer use Gmail or Google Docs for this reason.
I'm willing to take some privacy risks because Android is better than iOS.

Recovering deleted files.

My dad accidentally deleted a few movies from my Nexus. Is there anyway to get them back like recycle bin on windows?

Sadly there isnt

If there was a recycle bin then the stuff wouldnt actually be deleted. Theyd just be stored in a spot for unwanted things. Emptying the recycle bin is when u actually felete the stuff so if there was one on the nexus 10 it would still take up space after deleting things.

I came from Sony Xperia P, now that is a phone which doesn't happen to have a very good battery time.
My nexus 4 (Stock and no battery saving apps) goes 17+h easily with constant texting and and average 30mins of calls and 4-5 Hrs of wifi activity.
I have no complaint about the battery

Dead trigger 2 - Note 3 left behind?

Just downloaded Dead trigger 2 from play store...
Guess what... We don't get the tegra only effects on the game just a low and high graphics setting no ultra .
Oh before anyone says.. Well it's a tegra game... Apple iPads get the same effects as tegra!!
This pisses me off about being android these days... Fragmented things like this just hurt android! Don't get me wrong I love millions of other things about the OS as a whole, but gaming it just seems a nicer experience with iOS devices .... If they had a nice big juicy screen like the note I'd jump ship purely for the gaming
Sad times.
PS if anyone finds a hack like they did with Dead trigger 1 let us know

I could care less about dead trigger 2.. but man I do miss playing blackstab and shadow warrior (the most understated game ever) with chainfire 3d

Same thing happened with original Dead Trigger. Nvidia paid them off to disable certain effects on non-Tegra but people figured out work-around.
http://www.droid-life.com/2012/07/1...ics-on-dead-trigger-with-non-tegra-3-devices/
Same like Apple paid to delay the release of Dead Trigger 2 today after iOS.
Nothing that would make me switch back to POS Apple and iOS.
