App crashes seconds after opening, and I get multiple force close crashes throughout the day, even without the app running.
Tried clearing cache and data. Tried reinstalling.
Now I've backed out the update, older version works fine.
I'm on a stock, non-rooted, 4.1.2 Razr M.
Anyone else?

Every time I load the Market application, it works perfectly. However, when I navigate to the Downloads section, or select an application from that page - it crashes the market after a few seconds and returns me to the Downloads page.
It doesn't require force closing, it will just turn the screen white and take me to Downloads for no apparent reason.
I've tried clearing the market cache, wiping everything from my phone and reflashing my ROM (VillainROM 12) - still it keeps doing it.
Anybody else having this problem? Or does anybody know of a fix?

although not the same issue, I had problems downloading apps from the market over the weekend, would start downloading and do nothing, either over wifi or HSDPA, seems to be ok now though...
settings>manage applications>market>clear cache>clear data
rreboot then voila
I have been having a hard time with the google music app. It will not stream music, and force closes when I attempt to start streaming. I have tried many reboot options, as well as the uninstall reinstall trick. The funny thing is that after the uninstall, it streamed a single song before force closing. I am also running liberty .9. So basically I am asking if anyone else has this problem, a solution, or input. Thanks.

I had the same problem on stock gingerbread. I ended up wiping phone and reloading entire os last night to fix it. Nothing else I tried cured it. I thought I had read that the problem on liberty was that it was blocking ads and that prevented music from working, there was a setting that would turn them back on and fix the issue. But since I dint use liberty, I'm not positive.
google music crashed a lot on me at first but I was running gingerbread.596 and using equalizer.
now I'm running google music with
cyanogenmod and dsp manager with no more fc issues.
DX+CM7
As the other guy said, reenable adds and see if it works.
I run ad free and it works fine

so i found this while having the same issue on my nexus s 4g with bugless beast gpa19.
i use rom toolbox to block ads. I also have rom toolbox blocking 'casinos'. disabling this function fixed force close problems with google music.
I had same issue on liberty gb .9 nothing you can do to fix it, doesnt seem to work well with .596
I sbf to .602/.605 and flashed liberty x 3 and it works flawlessly. Need to be on .602, thats what solved my issue
same issue fixed on Droid Razr RazrX V1.2
had the same issue as you guys, i uninstalled all apps that android market split into (google play, music, books and movies). the apps i could not uninstall i removed the updates after forcing them to close in app manager. i rebooted the device, logged into marketplace and let it reinstall the new apps again, had to manually reinstall the music app because it didn't do it on it's own, i reinstalled it by going to my apps in Google play, it was at the bottom of the list. i'm rockin' a safe-strapped Motorola Droid Razr rooted with RazrX V1.2. Everything is working properly now. BTW this is my first post on XDA! hope it helps someone
Hi, so I am running this rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429199
Everything runs great except Google Maps. I noticed that whenever I open Google Maps and use it for a minute or two it tends to just freeze for 2-3 seconds then closes and boots me back to my home screen. No FC's, no error, just kicks me out. This happens everytime I use it Google Maps.
I have cleared the cache and app data. I have not uninstalled/re-installed it yet. Guess there is always that..Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
Thanks.

Update:
Actually, I force closed the app. cleared data and app data. Uninstalled the app. Rebooted the tab. After reboot I went to market and pushed the update to it. (I guess it doesn't actually uninstall since its a G App). After that it works fine, with no closes. Not sure what it was, but that got it working.
same thing here
Hi,
I use the same pre-rooted ROM and have the same problem.
Using the satellite layer in maps even reduces the time it takes to crash.
I also see this behaviour in Google Earth.
I've de-installed and reinstalled, deleted cache and reverted upgrades to no avail.
Any help is welcome. If a log can help, please le us know how to get it.
Thanks.

Edit:
I switched the ROM to Ezterry's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265847)
Just wiped cache and dalvik and installed on top of Gersma's
That fixed it for me.
Hi guys,
I noticed that after the 4.2.2 OTA update on my N10, that my Google Currents app continues to crash every time I launch it. I've rebooted my device many times but to no avail, it doesn't let me keep Currents open for longer than 3 seconds
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Agree with y2whisper -
You could try going to Settings / Apps and finding Currents, and then clearing Cache and Data and starting it up again. Or you could uninstall it, go to the Play Store and download / install a fresh copy of the latest version.
Hi. After a year or so without use, I started up my M.O.J.O. again yesterday. Everything works, but the Google Play Store app closes down the moment I open it. I am using MO0205-TS. Is this a known issue?
I already tried the usual troubleshooting (clearing app data/cache, uninstalling updates, re-binding my Google-account... including factory reset). No luck. The factory default Play Store app works, but insta-updates to the most recent version and then crashes on launch. Interestingly, automatic app updates do kick off, it's just the 'store front' that is causing issues.
