[Q] Where Did The Daydream Clock Go??? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Did Samsung remove the Daydream Clock which is a part of Jellybean?? Is there a way to resurrect it without downloading another app from the Play store. Is there any way to cause the Desk clock to stay on without being placed in a dock but just charging??

Is there a way to completely disable the ticker? Would that decrease cpu usage and allow apps to preform better?

Not to down on you for this, but what would be the point of that? It seems to be one of the integral "features" to this particular phone.
It's not for me. I got it over the other Samsung Galaxy phones because it cost me 100 bucks, not because of the ticker.
sadly, you can't. it's in the firmware, and in order to deactivate it you would need to go into that and modify the kernel. which i would not recommend.
i don't really know, i'm done with samsung in general, but, good luck with it!.
Even if I/we could disable the ticker, which I have accidentally done before, that would leave an unattractive black space below the softkeys.... I don't think anyone would want that... If you want battery savings, get root... Then delete the weather bug app, ticker tape history app, and all of the z7 apps (email, im, etc)... Oh, and all the rss apps too.. Then the ticker would still be there, but none of the apps it uses would be...
Sent from my SCH-I400 using XDA Premium App
Now if we could move the softkeys down to the ticker and put the dock in the shaded area.... then we'd be in business....
Ever since I got my phone I thought it would be cool to have the dock in the ticker instead. It would definitely give more real estate on the main screen

anyone know how to lock the clock

i am using the original flipcase....and lg g2 support when you close the flip time will come out....but the problem is...lg forgot to put the clock lock...so that when you put in the pocket and let it out....the small clock doesn't change the style when you accidently grab the phone out and touch the screen..so may be lg can put this lock at the clock when you close the flip in the near future update,
anyone here kow how to lock the clock?

[Q] Disable S-view clock on AOSP

I have a Google Edition ROM on my device. Whenever I close the cover, a clock pops up. Is there a way to disable that so I can use hall monitor?

any app to enable full immersive mode in Android N yet?

I am fully stock on 7.0. I used to use the broadcast tile and quick settings or power toggles to add it. I realize it's gone but with the new api with tiles built in has anyone released anything to the play store yet i missed? i would gladly pay for it. I miss that feature as i use the clock app at night with the screen saver option and showing the soft keys is brutal and just asking for burn in. why in the hell doesnt google minimize them on the app. totally dumb

Show weather on lockscreen

Hey everyone!
My issue is that in my previous phones they all displayed the Google clock + weather info + next alarm in the lock screen, but Mi A1 only shows the clock, is there a way to edit the lockscreen to have it show or download something to do that?
I've looked at the options and there is nothing there :/
Thanks,
Kamefrede
it seem to be because AOD (Always On Display) screen ... its not only lock screen. It seem that due to security reason you can not show any widget here. You can use GLANCE PLUS but I dont know how to show any widget like Chronus on this. If you found a way to do, please let me know.

I didn't find an "official" way to do it, so I installed an xposed module (Lockscreen widgets I believe its called) and removed the default lockscreen clock and replaced it with a 3rd party widget that included weather + clock
finally you just have to install and use chronus from google play store and you will see weather on locked screen in 2 minutes. no need glance no need xposed or whatever else, only chronus.
