It think virgin mobile can operate either one gsm and CDMA.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Virgin Mobile is CDMA is the United States.
In Canada I think it's GSM. Don't get it mixed up! In the United States virgin only accepts phones you buy from their network, they are owned by sprint. In other countries, their owned by Richard Branson and are independent.

Wind mobile runs on aws band ....you will only receive edge network ..don't matter if its unlocked ....the only Canadian providers that run on the aws bandwidth is wind mobile and mobilicity I think . So you could switch to those providers or buy a proper bell , telus , rogers at&t , and any none aws band phone ....

What's the carrier to go with when I go on my vacation there? And how do I go about getting a Sim?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
If you will use your own SIM, don't worry as soon as you get on Mexican soil your phone will tell which carrier its giving you roaming services.
If you are planning to get a SIM there you first have to be sure that your phone is SIM UNLOCKED, then check with your provider which bands are using and do a little search on Mexican provider to match those bands.
Good luck and enjoy your vacation.

I'm on my nexus 4 and just wondering what is the best company to go with when im in morelos.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Telcel and movistar are the only ones with LTE and even then its limited to certain cities (monterrey, DF, Guadalajara, Mérida so far... )
I've a data plan with telcel
You can get a sim almost anywhere, if they're selling cellphones and got telcel advertisers just ask for it, same with other carriers

Thanks what about getting a Sim before I go so once I cross the border I don't have to worry. I will be driving the whole time.

I think unlikely but worth contacting them perhaps for confirmation on current & any future changes to their network.
you have EU HD2 or TMOUS HD2 (T-Mobile USA) !?
Tmo us hd2. Both said it should but I already spent 100 on att saying it should and it don't

So does net 10 use sprints towers?
It depends on the phone. Some use Verizon, some use AT&T, some use Sprint, and some use T-Mobile.

If you got on T-Mobile, they've got decent 3g speeds (20-25Mb/s down in some areas with the right phone). But IDK if they would be throttled. This is called "4G" or HSPA.
Hi, I have been in 4 At&t stores today trying to purchase the Moto X with my prepay account. And all the store employee s and managers were telling me that I have to purchase with a 2 year contract. So I tried the last store and one of the employees OKed it and I got it. So I have T-Mobile service and I wanted to use on that and request an unlock from unlockcode247. com and after 3 hours they send me the code for just $13 so now I have the phone unlocked on T-Mobile LTE.

Thanks man. That's great news. I can at least import the AT&T model to the UK now.
Two quick questions. Does the annoying AT&T address book sync keep popping up when you open the phone or people app? Also can you disable the two bits of AT&T bloatware?
The 2 apk I disabled but the at&t address book is not possible to disable. The people app still address book pops up

Is there any solution to unlock BL? Or once unlocked, can it work with other carrier like China Unicom in China ?

No I was looking for these:
GSM:
850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
UMTS:
850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz
