Like the title says above my push notifications for apps like slick deals and Tapatalk have not been working. Is there any way to fix it? Is it something I maybe removed thinking it was bloat? Reinstalled apps and everything and still nothing.

So I let my little brother sign into the Facebook app on my phone and thus the problems. I signed him out and logged in with my stuff, but I'm still getting updates in my notification bar from his account and when I click them, it just takes me to the app with my account logged in and doesn't show me anything new. I've tried clearing out the app data and even uninstalling/reinstalling the Facebook app to my phone with the same results. Anyone else had the same or similar problem, or have any suggestions about how to fix it?
Bump as I've not managed to get this fixed. Hopefully will get some more eyes on.

I dunno Don. That's an odd one. If you've cleared the data it should have done the trick. Maybe something gets stored to the sdcard. I know that during the installation a notification gets stored there. I wonder...
That's kind of on the lines of what I was thinking too but I haven't been able to find anything on there that seems linked besides the sound. I'm going to keep working at it and I'll post any progress I make here for future reference.

So i just noticed that with the stock LG messaging application i am not getting the pop-up quick reply. I'm assuming it has something to do with something i froze in titanium backup however instead of going through each one one by one and going through a bunch of test text messages to figure it out i'm turning to the community.
Does anyone know which service allows the pop-up to happen?
Thanks!
I don't always get it, either. Seems to only pop up if I'm on my home screen. Been meaning to ask a few friends to text me back so I can test it out.
That's how it is suppose to work, however that has stopped working for me hence the post

Well I unfroze everything & still not working dyes I have the option set to yes. Only things I've done is flash stock browser and installed an old apk of Google Talk as I didn't like Hangouts.
I think maybe something with the Google Talk install did it. Looks like I'll have to restore to a backup.

Mine stopped working as well. Did everyone here install GMD Auto Hide?
i used TWRP to do a factory wipe and it fixed it. Restored my backup and wasn't there. Yes i installed gmd auto hide.
I think GMD is breaking the pop up. Oh well.. I rather not have those ugly software buttons than have the message pop up.

Dear all,
My 9005 is working fine, but one problem, when there is a new email notification in status bar, when i open the stock email app (either from the status bar notification icon or direct open the app) it will force close, anyone had the same problem??
I had the same problem in stock rom or custom rom.
Thanks for help.

Is the Magazine app part of another app cluster? Is it one of those Samsung Store apps they're putting on the phones now? I'm assuming it's one of the many bloatware apps that came stock, but I looked through my first backup I did before deleting all the BS apps, and I didn't see a "magazine" app.
For some reason I cannot change notification sounds in each of these apps. It just falls back to the system notifications sounds. Do I need to change app permissions to allow for this change?
OK, gmail seems to work. Now just hangouts not working.

Yes, allow permissions to storage for the apps to be able to read the ringtones you have selected-had the same issues after upgrading to Marshmallow on my Nexus 6.
Thanks for that little tip. I'm a wee bit ashamed I didn't think of it myself because I've screwed up a few things with xprivacy but for some reason it never occurred to me that the stock rom could be having troubles with access permissions.

Working fine for me.
Everything seems to be working fine for me as well.
Is anyone else getting notification chimes during playback of music? I'm getting one for play/pause, two when it goes forward a track or I skip, and three when I reverse a track.
Received the update notification & upgraded to Oreo. Now my Verizon S8± widgets aren't working correctly. Beautiful Widgets time gets stuck, Evernote widget is partially blank, & RealCalc widget won't respond at all. Upon waking the phone, the widgets have disappeared. I have to put the phone to sleep & wake it to set them to reappear, but they don't respond.
I've tried to re-install those apps with no success. I installed HD Widgets & got the same results. Any suggestions short of factory resetting it? Thanks in advance.

Are those apps up to date> maybe the apps don't have support for the OS yet. Try reinstalling the apps or widgets and see if it helps. Maybe try force closeing and see if that does anything

All of my apps were up to date. The problem was with Next 3D Launcher that I was using at that time. I've switched to Nova Launcher & that solved my problem.
