I looked around but didn't see anything yet. Does anyone know if there are any hacks for AT&T stock rooted odex ROM to get rid of WiFi notifications?
I'd like to get rid of the "Wi-Fi Connected" message in my pull-down notifications list.
And also want it to stop telling me there are open WiFi networks available.

Agreed, but it's de-odex and the only good themes available right now are for odex.

For the "open Wifi networks notification", go to wifi, press menu, select advanced, and uncheck the first box labeled "Network notification." I also unchecked the AT&T hotspots and check for internet service boxes. Getting rid of the pull-down persistent notification seems to require a lot more work.

You know how when you receive a text message and your phone is locked and sleeping... when you wake your phone the first screen you see is the lock screen widget of the person's name that sent you the message and also part of the text message as well. How the hell can I totally get rid of this?? It's veryy annoying and I'd like to use DashClock to view who texted me, not that. Thanks!
EDIT: Attached screenshot of what I am talking about.

That's what I thought too until I realized that I wasn't using any of Samsung's gimmicky add-ons. To each his own, I guess.
For what it's worth, if you click the notification and then swipe in the unlock area like normal, it'll take you right to the app with the notification. I found that out through trial and error.

I always find myself using them. Especially the IR Blaster. Quick Glance is very useful as well.
And yeah I've known that. But like I said, I'd rather use DashClock and the SMS DashClock extension for viewing SMS on my lockscreen. I wanna totally get rid of it somehow!!

It's ok brotha I appreciate the responses.
And also... I plan on flashing an AOSP ROM and making a backup of it just so I can switch between TW and AOSP whenever I want to!

Just looked in system/apps and there is no lockscreen APK actually hahaa.

This may not be what you are looking for, but I use SMS Popup for my notifications and turn off the notifications on the sms app itself. I do not get the notice on the lock screen. So I am thinking there is something in the stock SMS app that makes it show on the lockscreen. So if you any other app to get the notification this would remove it from the lockscreen. I don't know if you want to add another app to your phone to get a notification or not just to get rid of the lock screen.
I like SMS Popup because I like the pop-up message that I can reply to, however you can turn that off and just get the normal notification. I also like that I can assign a different ringtone and LED notifications to a contacts so I can know who is texting me.

Nah man, I already know about that... all it does it not preview the message or tell you the name. It still appears though. I'm looking to totally get rid of that all-together,

Nope.... you misunderstood my inquiry.
Anyone know whether Beans' ROM (or stock, for that matter) is capable of disabling/hiding the notification toggles entirely? I'd inquire within his thread, but not permitted to because it's for devs only...
No, I don't see anything like that.

Not sure I totally understand the question, but you can hide the status/notification bar easy enough if you use Nova Launcher??

If you use Exposed, there is a module called NotifyClean that will hide what ever you want.

Thank you, but to clarify, what I was talking about was within the notification pull-down, at the top there is normally a row of toggles with items such as wifi on/off, bluetooth on/off, etc. While I realize that you can customize the order of the items that appear within this bar, as well as which items display, I am interested in knowing whether the entire bar can be removed/hidden.
thanks

Much gratitude; I wasn't aware that existed, and that sounds like it would do the trick.

That only hides the notifications, not the toggles (I use it myself & it works perfect for what it's intended to do but hiding the toggles ain't it)

Thanks for dashing the false hope! Back to original question: anyone? Might some other xposed module do this?
*bump* in hopes of someone knowing whether achieving this is possible (removing/hiding the toggles bar in the notification pulldown)
Message beans and ask him if it's possible. Beans is a very nice person and one hell of a dev. Just be polite and not demanding and he will probably at least respond

ESo I got my droid turbo to day, and so far I'm really loving it. I really like the verizon messaging app because of all the cool features. However, I can not stand the way it changes a "" or a "" face to some goofy looking emoji. Is there any way to turn this off? Thanks
Edit: It changes it to something stupid like the second face

When in the Verizon Messages app click the top header that says "Verizon Messages" and then scroll down to Advanced > Settings on that screen there is a check box for Enable Smart Emojis you can try to disable that and see what happens. I didn't test but I'm guessing that might help you.

You can get the new google lolipop keyboard off XDA and have a ton of emoji?
Like this
The default emojis are the IOS style on my DT. I like them cause they're compatible with my IOS devices using the VZ Messaging app. The great thing about the app is that it's just like iMessages without having to be on IOS but yet still compatible.
I like stock messenging app better. Much more simpler and quicker

Did you enabled LTE band in data settings? Which rom you use? Any themes or mods?
Greetings all.
I have 34.4.A2.118 CE1 on my phone. I wonder why there isn't a setting for app badges in settings menu. Is there a way to make it appear? Or at least some way to turn badges off.
Cheers!

Rooted? There's probably a way with Xposed or some other root app. There's Xperia Home module by Server, and I think I remember seeing some badge settings in Gravity Box, but I never bothered looking into it. I'm using Sailfish at the moment, so can't check. I know certain launchers handle it within themselves, but I think there's framework code for it also. Try decompiling Xperia launcher and framework-res and see what's in bools...
I just found this in framework-res....
