Has anyone received this message when attempting to use the "S-beam" feature between the S4 and S3?

I've looked at several posts on a similar topic but not been able to find an answer.
I'm running the latest Qtek ROM...
My daughter is trying to send pictures to my Universal from her Samsung Z320i Mobile via Bluetooth.
It fails with a message saying unable to retrive service list.
If she trys to send a "contact/vcard" that works
The 2 devices have a pairing.
I'm able to send files to the Samsung with the Beam feature.
I have the recieve all beams option enabled
Looking in the registry the OBEX option is enabled (this is by default in this ROM) the only things that appear against this are vCard & vCal - this is why I believe the contact transfer was sucessful, and I'm guessing why the file transfer fails. Are there extra keys I can add to enable file transfer?
I have a MDA Vario (aka Wizard) as well and I can beam files OK between the wizard & the universal - but you would hope that they would work both effectively running the same software.
I don't currently have another make mobile with bluetooth that I can try.
My wife has a samsung and we are also unable to do it.
obviously the Samsung phone has a forward lock mechanism by Samsung. This prevents it from sending copyrighted material such as ringtones, images, animations, mp3 etc. to other phones.
This was used to be the case a couple of years ago when manufacturers believed they could make us pay money in order to download a wallpaper or a ringtone to our phone. The new Samsung phones don't have this lock.
I believe there is nothing you can do...
Hi, My friend has an Android phone and sent me via MMS a contact (namecard) data. However, when I receive it, it looks like a video/pic does when you open a MMS. There is no option to save as contact or anything else.
How is this supposed to work?
I thought I've received a namecard via text before.
From my Evo, I can I can send *.jpg just fine via bluetooth to my Galaxy tab 8.9 and the transfer goes well.
But... when I try to send a *.gen (game rom) file via bluetooth from the evo to the SGT8.9, the evo gets an error of "this transfer is forbidden by the target device"
I have read a few threads on trying different apps, but none of the apps get the *.gen through.
I'm wondering if there is a place/policy where file types are being filtered filtered.
Any ideas?
-----------EDIT-----------
If i rename the file.gen to file.gen.jpg the transfer works. And then I just have to rename it back to file.gen on the SGT8.9
Interesting... Surely this is a simple fix somehow.
I just got my Sprint s5, I came from T-Mobile. For some reason I cannot send a picture Via text. Is this not available on Sprint? If it is, how do I configure it...????
when I had my GS 3 for Sprint you could add a number to spam messages and it wouldn't notify you. I know the other carriers get this feature with Samsung messaging on the s5. Has anyone been able to unlock it?
I started using hangouts because it has a similar feature, but whenever I use ultra power saving mode, that defaults to Samsung messaging, it shows me the messages from the people I don't want.
bump. it seems like something someone must have looked into at this point
