[Q] How to turn off my screen automatically ? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I just recently bought my S4 on a contract and went ahead rooted it expecting do some cool stuff with my phone.
One of them is to turn off my S4 screen automatically when I flip my aftermarket cover. I know that Samsung sells that S cover which does exactly what I am saying here but I don't have that cover and I am not planning to buy it anytime soon.
Anyone here can help me out ???:fingers-crossed:

Selling my Tab!! (holiday) :(

Hi, I am reluctantly selling my Galaxy tab because I have to pay for my family holiday. It is is great condition apart from very slight scratch on top right of screen which cannot be seen when in operation and only in a certain light when off.
It is a great piece of kit which you well know, it comes with a 16gb micro sd card and a case which covers whole screen when closed, also acts as a stand to watch films etc. boxed in original box, with charger leads, etc. and a bluetooth earpiece with charger.
It is completely unlocked to any network and rooted , so you can put on any rom/kernel you like.
I will also provide receipt of purchase as I only bought it on 24/11/2010.
It will be reset to factory settings when sold, so will be as new to buyer.
Feel free to ask any questions. Preferably U.K only.
thanks.
Stu.
Looking for offers around £330 or o.n.o, please give me a shout on price!!

Thanks Dubie, Done that now

[Q] Spigen 'Neo Hybrid' case

Hi all, not sure if this has been covered before but I just had a few questions about this case. I'm thinking of buying it off eBay, as it is much cheaper and I was wondering if there would be any differences between the original case and the ones off eBay (which are about $20 cheaper). Also, as it has two components to it, is it easy to take off and put back on regularly? I like taking my case off when I get home and putting it back on when I go out, and don't really want to assemble the case time and time again. Lastly, what's everyone's favorite color on the white model?
Thanks to anyone that can help ?

[Q] Galaxy S5Purchase Advice in the US

Hello everyone,
I recently bought S5 model 900F on Amazon (US) (3rd party seller), which unfortunately turned out to be a cloned phone! A side note, within the first hour of use, the phone just died on me with 40% battery and would not turn back on. Luckily with that experience, I am getting a full refund based on "defective" unit and not have to go through the whole ordeal why it's a "cloned" phone.
This gave me quite a scare about buying another S5 on amazon and am asking you guys if you know of places or insight where I can buy the 900F (the international version) as they claim it to be with the capability of 4G and not the 900H. I'm looking specifically for this model because I have relocated to Europe and am visiting the US for vacation (2 weeks).
Now, I just saw that Google may be releasing the Google Play edition for the S5 but that is still TBA.....so that phone would be much preferable but I have a feeling the sales will begin after I leave.
Anyways guys, thanks in advance!

Samsung Galaxy S4 - Screen looks burned, but still functional [Image Attached]

Hi there, a friend gave me this phone whose screen appears to be burnt, but still functional. I just wanted to verify if the proper fix for this is to buy an LCD replacement.
Also, I noticed that online websites that sell LCD replacements mention the carrier of the phone. That brings me to the question, do I need to purchase a replacement with the same carrier or just the same model (SGH-I337M in this case)?
Thank you.

The att version of the s4 is compatible with the i337m.
You may be better off finding a used screen because a real Samsung replacement screen is not cheap.

What should I do if I cracked my screen?

So i have a Samsung s7 edge and the screen is cracked. What do you recommend? Do you know any cheap places to fix? If it's over 150 id rather just sell it, but what site do you recommend to sell it on? it works fine other then the front screen is cracked. It's a G935T for T-mobile.
No joke i just had it fixed and my dog broke it back in December. What happened was I was petting my new puppy then afterward i couldn't find my phone. So I used that ring website to find my phone. I found it between her teeth biting the plastic case and she cracked the screen .
Buy a new phone, sucks but that's it s8 and note 8 is out our devices are now old
