FAQ
Q Why a special Q&T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections. Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q How to move my post to the Q&A/T thread?
A Copy the text of your post in the dev's thread, got to the Q&A/T thread and paste it there. After having done that, go back to the dev's thread, edit your post and change the text into: moved to Q&A/T thread, preferably accompanied with a link to this thread.
Q When I'm asked to move my post to the Q#A/T thread, do I have to do that?
A When you're asked to move your post, there will always be given an explanation by the OP of the Q&A/T, e.g. your post is not development related (f.i. SD card problems, etc), so please be so kind to move your post. If you want to help the dev to keep his original thread as clean as possible from OT posts, then the answer is, of course, YES. Although we cannot force you to move your post, it's highly recommended to do so
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE.. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q How’s battery life?
A see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest

Thanks much Kuzibri for Q & A Thread

Explaining the purpose of our Q&A/T threads to posters.
Hi my dear followers of this ROM,
in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this ROM with the permission of the Developer of this ROM:
This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any rom. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average rom being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.
The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each rom. This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A."
This means that non-development related posts, should be posted - with the permission of the Dev - in this thread. What are the most common Off Topic posts, that should be posted in this Q&A/T thread?
1. Battery life related posts
2. Will this app work with this ROM
3. SD Card related problems
4. How do I dowmload and install this ROM, etc
Hope to have given you enough information,
kindest regards, Kuzibri

Follow Q&A Thread
Hi
Guys please follow kuzibri's request to post it in the Q & A thread for my roms,my members or anyone including i ,if around will help to resolve the issue, really appreciate it,& thanks to kuzbiri for making Q & A threads for my builds
Peace, Sundawg
Hi my friends,
see the above request from the Dev of this ROM,
kindest regards, Kuzibri

Off topic posts or not in the original Dev's thread?
Hi All Followers of this ROM,
a certain post of a member of one of my Dev's ROM for whom I created a Q&a/T thread set me to think and reconsider what kind of posts is OT or not and how to deal with that.
It is not my intention to be overly strict about what is or is not an OT post, you should decide before you post whether you think it is OT. Consider whether the development of the ROM is helped by your post. Consider also whether someone in the future, searching through the thread, would find your post useful or would it just take up bandwidth.
If there is any doubt as to whether a post is OT, i will not ask you for it to be moved.
If I do decide your post is OT, I will ask you to move it.
If you think it is not OT, please post your reasons in this Q&A thread, quoting post number.
If I or the developer then agree with you, I will delete my post in the dev thread asking you to move it, and the post can stay.
I hope this makes it all clearer.
kindest regards, Kuzibri

That is a DEV THREAD. Do not post there if unqualified!!!
(I know I already posted thanks, but don't be a tool like me!)
Basically, xfdisk has mapped JTAG connections for X10 Mini (clapping) and (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9623146&postcount=29) here says that there will be a method that should open the bootloader on all Xperias...
I'm giddy!!!
Let's go 2.3!!!!!!!
(I'd be so happy with 2.2, folks, that's just enthusiasm)
Old news is old..
Edit:
ALSO: we already have a Dev thread for bootloader related hacking.
(Ps. im not trying to be a jerk..)

Post What Where:
General - general technical discussion items, news, anything else that does not fit into the other fora categories.
Q&A (Questions and Answers) - all questions, irrespective of type, get posted in here whether they be theme related, accessory related, technical, etc.
Accessories - any items to do with components and/or accessories relating to your device.
Rom Development - only meant for very advanced technical discussion directly related to ROM development activity and the delivery of actual ROMs and ROM components ONLY. Nothing else goes in here.
Themes & Apps - anything to do directly with the development of themes and/or applications. Nothing else goes in here.
MOD EDIT: BEFORE POSTING ANY THREAD IN THE DEVELOPMENT SECTION, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?

A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE .. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A Right now this ROM is in development and therefore still has a lot of issues, like recognizing SIM card, etc. But in due time all these issues will be solved by the OP

Dear XDA-ians!
This thread was created to answer your questions about Boot HD2Gecko without spamming the development thread. This means that we can focus on fixing bugs and making the ROM as stable as possible. Post your questions here, then we will answer them as soon as we find a solution.

In addition to feherneoh' post, this thread is meant to be for Off Topic posts not related to development issues of feherneoh's ROM. In this thread you can post all off your questions which are non-development related (i.e. SD Cards problems, How do Iinstall this ROM, Battery life with this ROM, etc, etc). In principle this thread should become, after a while, self-sustaining, i.e. one member posts a certain question/problem and other members answers to that post. It's not the intend of this thread that I will answer all the questions!! This thread is yours!!
kindest regards, Kuzibri

You have to copy BootHD2Gecko folder to NativeSD on sd card, then in twrp:
Advenced -> NativeSD -> Kernel update.
Tap on sboot, then select BootHD2Gecko. Slide to install it.

Yes, now all works. Just forgot enable sbot and multiboot in clk settings.
I'm waiting for NAND full options.
Hi guys,
Thank you a lot for letting us have contact with you
Q1: What do you mean about not recognizing the SIM card? do you mean that it will not work at all? or it might work for some people?
Q2: can we get back to the old ROM (WM ROM) after installing the new ROM (Firefox OS)? and how?

1. It apparently does not detect the sim card, but some calls can be made and received. So it is a bit confusing atm
2. You boot into it using clrcad and haret (in NativeSD folder). After you reboot, you will be back in good ole wm
i'm waiting... beta!
Deleted, wrong post.
Is there any way to change the resolution? To have icon and text bigger?
I tried to change LCD_density in both build.prop and build.prop~ but it doesn't have any impact.

I think it is a problem with the gaia ui.
Reading here it seems it must be done when building the rom, method here, but must be with an up to date gaia version.
Hope this helps
Edit; I did find some customisations in /system/b2g/defaults/pref/settings.json at beginning and end of file, none of which seem to affect dpi, but which might be useful to some ppl.

Hi,
regarding Q1: AFAIK, sometimes it does recognize the SIM card, but in most cases not (yet) or just shortly.
regarding Q2: You always can go back to your original WM ROM by performing a Hard Reset. This will bring your device back to factory settings (it;s in the quick reference guide of your device).
kind regards, Kuzibri

you mean a soft reset (restarting the phone) right? because Hard reset will make him loose all WM data. and he is using nativeSD so only soft reset

Yes a SR is suffcient, stupid of me to advice to do a HR I had the impression that he wanted to delete this ROM, thus I interpreted his question wrongly.

in addition to eherneoh's answer: just edit your post, delete the entire post and replace it with your "new text", such as deleted, wrong post, etc.

Explaining the purpose of our Q&A/T threads for specific KERNELS's to posters.
"Hi dear followers of this KERNEL,
in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this KERNEL with the permission of the Developer of this specific KERNEL
This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any kernel thread. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average kernel being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.
The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each kernel.
4. How do I dowmload and install this kernel, etc
Hope to have given you enough information,
kindest regards, Kuzibri"
Welcome Post
My fellow followers,
As you can see, XDA Community is growing larger and we need to tidy up a little so that everyone can find relevant information more easily.
This is why a new trend in creating Q&A/T threads has started recently.
As a thread name suggests, this thread should be used for your questions, answers and troubleshooting my kernel installations.
Basically, this should be used in the manner the original thread has been used until now.
From now on, the main kernel development thread will be monitored more strictly and you should post there only relevant information that should help fix issues or improve the kernel.
I will not forbid you to post error reports there, but they should follow defined rules specified in the Troubleshooting section in the OP of the development thread:
you need to specify all relevant hardware/software information and attach all available log files, otherwise the information is useless for me and post will be considered off-topic and can be moved here.
I wish you many problem-free hours on my kernel and as always: Happy flashing!
Daekin
What to do with debatable OT posts?
Hi All Followers of this KERNEL,
a certain post of a member of one of my Dev's ROM for whom I created a Q&a/T thread set me to think and reconsider what kind of posts is OT or not and how to deal with that.
It is not my intention to be overly strict about what is or is not an OT post, you should decide before you post whether you think it is OT. Consider whether the development of the KERNEL is helped by your post.
I hope this makes it all clearer.
kindest regards, Kuzibri

thank you all, I will examine log files later.
I also need some confirmation about the rest of the kernel versions - preferably 1.3_new. if it is OK, I will replace the original version with this one.

it does have a heat & battery drain problem but less than 1.3.
Battery Drain
- htcleo-kernel_2.6.32_tytung_gb _r16 -> stay blocked on "Go Go Go !"
- marc1706 0.2.3 kernel installed -> NO battery drain by process (P-sensor_microp & Events) after a call. :victory:
Tytung's kernel is not for sense ROMs that is why it stuck on boot. I will investigate the issue about P-sensor_microp.

Is there anyone with 100% CPU usage causing battery drain after call that is willing to test new kernel version?
If yes, send me PM and I will send you download link.
