Does it sound like this? Do you still have it? Listen to the left channel (bottom microphone).
Ok, I'm a noob and can't post a link just yet. Grrr. Concat the bottom two lines together.
Search on youtube for "ngwTBJ5ew08". It's a sample recording and you'll hear the pops.

I had the same issue when recording video, until I realized it was me covering the top microphone (the one by the 3.5mm audio jack) with my finger when recording. I'm now more careful where I put my hands when recording, and I have not had any popping sounds at all.

[Q] Disable Noise Cancellation/Supressor

Need to disable this guys, in fact is very useful for phone calls, but when you try to make a voice recording it SUUUCKs a lot, even more if you try to record a song. So there's any way to disable it?
Apparently there's no way to disable that :/

I too have wondered about this a lot. The video recording audio is awful and it seems baked into the software that the noise suppression is enabled. I hope they turn it off eventually somehow. Some developer may be able to shed more light on this.

It would be nice if it's enabled for phone calls only, like it is supposed to work. Not for all recordings!

Precisely. Last I remember checking, the Galaxy S3 and S4 for example actually have a toggle in the overflow menu of the call screen for noise reduction which does exactly this. That, and in-call EQ settings. That would be amazing to have on stock Android, but nope. And the noise suppression is NEVER enabled for video, which would make no sense. Yet it is forced on here for all apps that use the mic. Sigh.

Volume increase

Does anyone know how to increase the maximum volume on N910C Galaxy Note 4 with Android 5.01 installed?
The volume on Bluetooth A2DP is really low. My iPad and iPhone can output at least three times more.
Now I'm using the Simplrom but the problem was exactly the same when running the stock rom.
Also, it happens with my Bluetooth headset, my car radio and every other audio device connected by Bluetooth.
Thanks!
I wouldn't mind a solution. For me, it's low volume via headphones. It also depends on the headphones... But generally speaking, volume is on the lower side. I ALWAYS hit the "dangerous volume" level warning.
That's exactly my problem. The volume on the headphone is really los.

Yes. Me too is waiting for solution on unrooted phones
Does this just happen with bluetooth headsets? Maybe it something to do with your bluetooth device settings.

But what could it be? I've checked everything on the bluetooth menu and found nothing.

Have you tried turning up the audio on your bluetooth headset?
I have the opposite problem. My bluetooth headset is too loud on the lowest setting. I dont have another headset to try either

Yes. I did. If I don't go all way to the max I can't hear anything. That also happens when synced on my car. I have to increase the volume quite a bit to hear properly.

What? That's so weird. Why yours is loud and mine is so low if we have the same phone? Doesn't make any sense. We are missing something here.

Does this happen when you are making calls or when you are listening to audio files/watching media on your device?
Same problem here, volume too low..... On headphones.

Usually when using Spotify or the music app. With Spotify the problem is worse.

Sounds like it something to do with the setting on both the music player and the Spotify app. If you go into the settings of your music player and turn off the Adapt Sound and uncheck the Smart Volume that should solve the problem with your music player. The same solution should work with Spotify.

I had no idea that this setting existed! I've disabled both and the sound is a lot better! Now I can actually hear something! Thank you very much for helping me! I was begining to think there was no solution for this. Thank you!

Yeah, allot of audio and media player app developers do tend to make it harder for you to find the audio output adjustment settings on their apps. It usually takes a while to find them, if you need anymore help just holla!
Thanks one again

[REQ] Using watch microphone in phone calls

Hello, is this possible to make an app that will allow me to use watch microphone in phone calls? It might be very useful to use it in car.
I agree with you. It could be really helpful.
I think app developers can help you.
I definitely vouch for this. I don't mind having my headphones plugged in my mobile phone, so why can't we use Wear microphone to talk?
This would be great with bluetooth headphones that do not have a microphone, or really any headphones that don't have the in-line mic...why not let me use my watch mic for a phone call, would be very Get Smart
MAybe now after 1.4 update it's possible?
Any news about this subject?

Yes, but the question is if it's possible to use the microphone without speaker in the smartwatch
