So i combined the latest cm9 nightly version with the overclocked kernel for 1 ghz and the gapps using Clockwork Combiner
Installation and everything is ok but in case cm9 has a new update available how can i update do i need to download the new cm9 version and combine it again with the overclocked kernel and gapps or i just simply install it?? Will i lose my overclocked kernel if i just flash the new update?? any help??
P.S. Sorry for my bad english ( Greece here )
i highly doubt there will be anymore OFFICIAL CM9 rom's, but incase im wrong, you just simply flash it.
yeah you will..
@emokeizer is there any need to put links to that rom everywhere?? seriously?
how about your signature man.. more annoying..

his kernel and roms were removed for non compliance with the GPL
for not sharing his source
any links to his rom or kernel are not allowed

hi
1. read carefully on how to use Odin
2. it is always advisable to do a factory/Data wipe and wipe delvi cache and then flash the ROM via odin and if u want to go back to the stock rom dont worry just look in the rollup thread and u will see some links with stock rom with out boot loader for u to flash
good luck and be care full read carefully before attempting to flash
Like it has been said before, it´s ok.
Just remember to follow the guide and you´ll be just fine.
I recommend to flash the Kyrillos Rom 9.2 with G3Mod 2.2.2 noc oc.
Hit thanks if it helped you anyway.
Best of luck
Thanks alot harree.
Also what about the Overclock thingy? and one more question i read in one of the threads that a bettery stats wipe should be done after installing the rom. Well i searched around and i couldn't find a thread on how to do that. I would appreciate if someone can help with that.
@iam_dragonmaster, how can i install the g3mod 2.2.2 non oc (i figure this is a kernal? how can i install a kernal when installing the rom?) with kyrillos rom? besides i can only install kyrillos 9.0 i think then have to use the update.zip thingy to update.

Boot into recovery using the extended boot menu and apply the update for kyrillos 9.2 by selecting zip from SD card and of course you need to put the update in your SD card. You can download g3mod kernel and flash it via Odin one package and it does not wipe your data . Also you can download the battery calibration app from the market and install it and follow the instructions. For me i use Zeppelinroxs die hard battery calibrator script. Can be found with the beta/test releases of v6 supercharger.

Amazing. Now I'm hesitating between speed 7.2 and battery 7.1 versions
Oh, I want to ask is status bar transparent too? Like in MiUi roms? I mean the status bar itself not the notifications slide - i know this is transparent...

flashing new ROM comes with a new kernel
if you want you can flash SDSL v2.0 it's much better then your current rom.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364416
Well i'm aware that by flashing a new rom a new kernel is installed. What i'm asking is if its possible to install a new kernel on my rom.
Thanks
Sent from my GT540 using Tapatalk 2
of course, you can install only the kernel from SDSL but you can run into many problems like non-working things (e.g camera, wi-fi etc). you must download the update.zip of SDSL and unpack it. within there you can find a boot.img.
flash it like this:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Hm ok thnks for the advice. Now i have to ask, what rom you think is best to me? I like roms 2.3.x... wich you think is best and more stable?
Thanks

It's just a test kernel so bugs should be there. Tried it yesterday. It is smoother and stabler than 3.5.2. Battery life seems better. But there is 1 bug that made me went back to 3.5.2, it's the not working accelerometer in JB ROMs
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
have link?? I can't find where it is
Test kernels are meant to test not ask for help when something doesn't work. If you can't help the developer out then don't test it. Thread locked
