[Q] Kyrillos' ROM v3.3 App2Sd doesn't work

hi all,
I followed the instruction from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957123 to the letter but the app2Sd still doesn't work.
Tried it numerous times now and also with older versions of Kyrillos but my Internal memory isn't increasing.
The SD card seems to be taken of about the same memmory that I ask to convert to appdata and swap memory, but the internal memmory isn't stated to be increased.
Anyone know what I might be doing wrong ,or is there a better manual for this application?

the applications are included in the software of Kyrillos and phone is pre rooted and working.
I did all steps that you stated, as also described in the original post of Kyrillos.
again, after doing all those steps I do see more then a gig less on my SD card, but I don't see the Internal memory increasin. It just keeps at 105MB

I have the same problem, can someone help or explain how we get this working?

you CAN'T see the effects in settings.go to market download titanium and check it

So when I see in Titanium Backup both Internal and SD card it doesn't work? And when I see Internal, SD Card and SD Card(a2sd) it does work?

Yep, so lucky me, probably it works. And it's correct I cannot see this anywhere else (in the settings for example)

OK now with in titanium go to bath look for "move all app to internal mem" and you're done ENJOY

then why does my internal memmory still gets full? Do I need to move the applications with another tool to the app2SD partition?

where did you saw that internal memory gets full in titanium or in settings???

btw, it is correct the internal storage in settings stays the same as it was before a2sd?

yes that's the point after i while you will in settings that memory is decreasing but that's the data of app you will use

ok cool, I ran the batch you told and now my internal memory stays clean, thanks!

you can't see it in the phone settings.. but for a test see how much internal memory you have that your phone tells you, then install a large app like angry birds or something, and it should only go down by 1-2mb

[GUIDE] How to setup A2SD WITHOUT flashing a fresh ROM

After an hour or two of frustrating googling and thread sifting I managed to successfully setup A2SD to increase internal phone memory without affecting my current ROM and installed apps/data/settings. I thought I'd put together a clear and simple guide to save anybody else the pain and because I feel I owe the community for all the awesome ROMs and hacks my HD2 has been subjected to over the past couple of years!
Update: If you want to upgrade your ICS ROM rather than fresh install and maintain this A2SD script then see here
How to setup A2SD on the HD2 without flashing a new ROM and maintaining all apps, settings and data
1.) Copy the contents of your SD card to a PC so it can be restored later. Before doing anything like this I always make a backup of my current ROM using CWM recovery and you should too! Please search XDA if you are unsure on how to do this. There are other ways to back up your SD card and apps and tools that will do this for you but this is the easiest and most foolproof method.
2.) Reboot your phone into recovery. If you have MAGLDR then when your phone is off, hold power button until you see the MAGLDR menu and select option 8 for recovery using the volume buttons to scroll and call button to select
3.) Still using the volume and call/back buttons to navigate the menu, select ADVANCED and then PARTITION SD CARD. Select your ext partition size. 1024 seems a healthy size big enough for most people. I have read many warnings about using 2048 and above so I recommend only going as big as you need to. Select 0M swap and continue to partition. Please be aware that your SD card will be formatted so make sure you paid attention to step 1!
4.) Now you need to flash the script that will make this partition wizardry happen. Download 40ad2sdx-a2Recovery.zip and save to your PC. From the CWM recovery main menu, select MOUNTS AND STORAGE then MOUNT USB STORAGE with your phone plugged into the PC. Windows will recognize your phone as a USB mass storage device so you can copy the script (40ad2sdx-a2Recovery.zip) directly onto the SD card. Once copied, press the call button on the phone to unmount USB storage. Now, back to the main menu and select INSTALL ZIP FROM SD CARD then CHOOSE ZIP FROM SD CARD. 40ad2sdx-a2Recovery.zip will be the only thing in the list so select and install it
5.) To complete the setup of the script you need to fix permissions. Once again, CWM recovery does all the hard work for us so from the main menu simply select ADVANCED and then FIX PERMISSIONS
6.) Ok. The A2SD virtual internal phone storage is now setup but before you reboot the phone, you need to restore the contents of the SD card so that Android doesn't try and set up the SD card from scratch and inevitably cause issues with your apps. As in step 4 connect your phone to the PC as a USB mass storage device and copy the SD card backup you made in step 1 back on to your SD card. This may take a while depending on how much data you have. 4GB took just over an hour for me. Once complete select UNMOUNT on the phone
7.) Now for the moment of truth... Keep your fingers crossed and select REBOOT from the recovery main menu. If all went to plan everything should look exactly as it did when you left it. Go into SETTINGS/MANAGE APPS to see your shiny new internal storage size and no more complaints from Android about your internal memory being low.
8.) We're almost there. Although everything should now work perfectly and your internal memory has increased you will most likely find you have the low sound issue where media played from the SD card is very quiet. To solve this you simply need to fix permissions one last time. Boot into recovery as in step 2 and select ADVANCED and then FIX PERMISSIONS just as you did in step 5. Now reboot and enjoy!
WARNING
- This guide assumes you have recovery etc. installed (see my signature for the specs that worked for me)
- I have only tried this with tytung's NexusHD2-ICS-CM9 V1.2 so I cannot promise it will work with other ROMs although I don't see why not. Be aware that some ROMs are already DATA2SD enabled and will not require an additional script - do your research!
- I have written this guide with the intent of helping a few lost HD2 users and it's merely based on my experience. I hold no responsibility for you bricking your phone or any other damage caused
- I am not a DEV but a ROM dabbler; I did not write this script and can only thank the guys responsible for it

Additionally to using MTPW, format your SD with SD Formatter (to have it really nice and clean) and do all your operations with a SD card reader on your pc to make things even more faster
Plus, I think CWR only formats in ext3, not ext4 (which seems to be better)...

Thanks for the tips, SD Formatter looks like a good idea.
I really need to find my mini-SD to SD adapter!
I have had no issues with ext3 so far, does anybody know the benefits of ext4?

The whole procedure is much more simple that it seems like in the guide (very good guide also).
I did use the same script and it works perfect.

You should add another step that includes rebooting into recovery and fixing permissions a second time to fix the low volume issue. Aside from that thats the best guide on this subject I've read so far. Lets hope this will be a help to people switching to ICS roms without included Whatever2SD.

Thanks, you're right about adding a step to cure the low volume issue. I will do that as soon as I get back on a PC.
All the guides I found before this were unnecessarily complicated and misleading. I hope this helps a few people

As said, worked OK for me, but had low sound bug after that. Fixed permissions as you told and it was OK until next reboot. After reboot low sound was back.
Solution for me was to fix permissions twice.
1. Power off
2. CWM recovery and Advanced -> Fix permissions
3. Power off
4. CWM recovery and Advanced -> Fix permissions
5. Power off and boot
Now even after reboot low sound is not coming back.

Coincidentally I updated the above guide explaining that you will need to fix permissions twice to avoid the low sound issue about 15 mins ago. See the final 'step 8'
Please can I ask you to have a quick look and confirm these steps make sense?

How to upgrade your ICS ROM.... properly!
I had some trouble upgrading from 1.2 to 1.3 because I was trying to use WinRAR to insert the script into the zipped ROM and CWM kept erroring.
7-zip seems to do the job perfectly so once again, feel free to learn from my mistakes...
How to upgrade your ICS ROM and maintain amarullz script
1.) Back up current ROM and apps however you want. I recommend a backup of the ROM with CWM and a backup of the apps with Titanium Backup. You can also copy the entire contents of the SD card to a PC for a fool proof backup. This is only as a precaution in case all hell breaks loose!
2.) On your PC unzip the script 40ad2sdx from 40ad2sdx-a2Recovery.zip or download the attached file from this post and unzip
3.) Open NexusHD2-ICS-CM9_V1.3.zip with 7-zip (Google and download for free) and go to folder system/etc/init.d/ then drag and drop the unzipped file 40ad2sdx to the opened 7-zip window then close 7-zip
4.) Copy the modified NexusHD2-ICS-CM9_V1.3.zip to the phones SD card
5.) Boot into CWM and install the ROM. There is no need to wipe cache or dalvik cache
6.) Reboot and relax

Sorry to hear you're having trouble but as stated I have only tried this on ICS ROMS CM9 by tytung V1-4.
I have not tried installing this script on a Gingerbread ROM such as coredroid v3.7. In fact, I never found the need for more internal memory when I was using Gingerbread ROMS.
On the coredroid thread it says:
"Can we use A2SD?
All CoreDroid builds use EXT partition to use as DATA USER and use some parts of SYSTEM. This was chosen this way cause it makes the build faster. You can always use APPS2SD from MARKET to save a little more space on Phone storage if its not enough for you"
This suggests to me that all you need to do is create the EXT partition using CWM and you're good to go but please do some XDA searching first

Then you do not need the script from my thread. It looks like ext partition support is included and mandatory from version 3.2 onwards. Please see threads specific to your ROM but as in my previous reply it looks like all you need to do is create an ext partition and you're done.
Please search XDA to confirm this as I have not used that ROM

Samsung Galaxy S Boot Loop / Dead Internal SD - Solution

Fully working Samsung Galaxy S - Using 16GB External Micro SD to run OS and function as External SD!!
Ok so to set the scene I will quickly explain the issue I had with my Samasung Galaxy S.
One day it worked....
Next day it didn't...from then on it would only boot to first screen then continually repeat this step.....
After day two of having no luck at fixing the issue I got an S3...great phone!
BUT DONT GIVE UP JUST YET! It can be fixed!!!
Overall I think I would have spent somewhere in the ballpark of about 40 hours trying to fix the Galaxy S...stubborn? Yes....and my Galaxy S was such a good phone I hated the idea of binning it.
I wont waste your time listing the hundreds of methods I tried or posts I read, but in the end all things pointed to a dead internal SD.
I should be able to run the OS off an external SD... shouldn't I? The answer is Yes!
Many hours were spent on this stage and for about a week I had a working pone with OS running on External SD, but no access to the camera or anything which required an external SD.
I now have a perfectly working phone, using a 16gb External SD to run the OS and remaining space on it recognised as the external SD.
I can't promise this will work for everyone but here is the last of WAY TO MANY methods I used which completely solved this problem for me.
Let me know if this works for you & GOOD LUCK!
Step 1:
Your phone must be rooted!
The best, easiest and only way I was able to do it is with the following guide, big thank you to the person who put it up. As my Internal SD was dead! my external SD was to be my new internal SD...so the standard add to zip method for rooting on external SD... would obviously not work for me! yes I worded that perfectly!
BIG IMPORTANT NOTE IN CAPITAL LETTERS! - Make sure you have your external SD inserted during the below process!

NOW! You should have your phone booting as it used to back in the good old days! However.....some of you wont...if this is the case please follow Step 1B.
Step 1B:
If the above did not work for you then you need a way to connect your Micro SD to your PC (I did this using a USB adaptor).
1. Download and install EaseUS partition master
2. Insert Micro SD in PC
3. EaseUS partition master
4. Wipe all partitions/data.
5. Create EXT4 partition approx 2gb
6. Create FAT32 partition with remaining space.
7. Remove battery from phone
8. Insert SD, Battery back in.
9. Turn on, you should have your phone booting as it used to back in the good old days!
IF NOT THEN.....Start with Step 1B then do Step1 then if all looking as it should move to step 2. If not...sorry...I have failed you!
Step 2:
You phone should now have booted like the good old days....but if you go into SD/Storage on android OS, you will notice it does not recognise the remaining space on the External SD as an external SD...it must be very confusing for the green robot!
So next steps as follows!
1. Install script manager app and mount r/w app from Google Play (market)
2. Use mount r/w to Mount the system partition in r/w mode.
3. Browse using script manager app as root (change setting in config).
4. Go to /system/etc folder and change file permission for vold.fstab to rwxrwxrwx (This means tick all the 9 boxes on the left not the 3 on the right.....such a technical explanation)
5. Then edit the vold.fstab file as text and change the following
Change:
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.0/mmc_host/mmc0
to
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.2/mmc_host/mmc2
Change:
s3c-sdhci.0
to
s3c-sdhci.2
Change:
mmc0
to
mmc2
Save the file and reboot the phone!
If all has gone well then your sdcard partition will be mounted and old faithful is ready to ride once again!
I hope this worked for you, if it didn't...gutted and I guess you have moved onto the next post...good hunting!
Please note this solution was created from a pile of posts I trawled through to get a solution. The above vold.fstab solution was taken from the following post. Unfortunately this posts overall solution didn't work for me, but I would not have been able to mount remaining External SD Space as well...you know THE EXTERNAL SD! without his post, which is the best part!

What should I do if scriptmanager app and mount r/w app can't install? In fact, no apps can install.
Also, should the second line in vold.fstab that used to point to external sd stay the same or be modded as well?
My SGS just will not accept any apps installed or anything copied to it. I have repartitioned the external sd but everything still only picks up the internal SD and nothing from external.
Does the external SD need to be partition as a primary or logical partition for the EXT4 part?

The link to the guide is dead, why have xda removed it? does anybody have a link to the guide that works? thanks

Tried the above but no joy, my problem below could be slightly different
Bought this from Ebay dead, managed to get it going but it would not recognise internal or external storage, tried to update rom, then disaster, now goes into permanent bootloop Have tried to resurrect the phone with….http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647890
and with ezbase, EZRom for Galaxy S.
No go, when use Odin3 1.82 to put rom on it says passed, then goes into recovery and tells me that
1) e: format_volume:rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
2) Deleting Meta data ….data wipe failed
3) Press reboot says failed to Mount Data File
On Reboot goes to permanent boot loop on Samsung S GT-i9000 screen
Searched and found ref to using a riff box to clear this problem, nobody near me has one
Any ideas to get out of this gratefully received

Ok I think im getting the picture but the guide is not clear, i think 1 partiotion should be ext4 the other fat 32 both primary, if you cannot boot because of the loop do you need a modified kernel ? will the phone then auto mount the external sd and use that instead?

managed to install cwm, then wiped everything I could, then installed a stock GB rom through odin3 and it went fine, so guessing I had something corrupted and then cwm formats deleted it, maybe I was lucky , but that is all I did, thanks for the link re sd cards.....

Hey there,
I have had exactly the same issue and it took my days to figure out that my internal sd card must be broken.
Thanks for the great idea of switching the sd cards, my SGS I9000 works again.
Using my gained enthusiasm I tried to flash the newest 10.1 CM firmware. The installer stops within CWM before rebooting and tells me that the package is defect. I tried it several times, even using sideload. What do I have to do to install it?

Your phone must be rooted!
The best, easiest and only way I was able to do it is with the following guide, big thank you to the person who put it up. As my Internal SD was dead! my external SD was to be my new internal SD...so the standard add to zip method for rooting on external SD... would obviously not work for me! yes I worded that perfectly!
BIG IMPORTANT NOTE IN CAPITAL LETTERS! - Make sure you have your external SD inserted during the below process!

NOW! You should have your phone booting as it used to back in the good old days! However.....some of you wont...if this is the case please follow Step 1B.
Step 1B:
If the above did not work for you then you need a way to connect your Micro SD to your PC (I did this using a USB adaptor).
1. Download and install EaseUS partition master
2. Insert Micro SD in PC
3. EaseUS partition master
4. Wipe all partitions/data.
5. Create EXT4 partition approx 2gb
6. Create FAT32 partition with remaining space.
7. Remove battery from phone
8. Insert SD, Battery back in.
9. Turn on, you should have your phone booting as it used to back in the good old days!
IF NOT THEN.....Start with Step 1B then do Step1 then if all looking as it should move to step 2. If not...sorry...I have failed you!
Step 2:
You phone should now have booted like the good old days....but if you go into SD/Storage on android OS, you will notice it does not recognise the remaining space on the External SD as an external SD...it must be very confusing for the green robot!
So next steps as follows!
1. Install script manager app and mount r/w app from Google Play (market)
2. Use mount r/w to Mount the system partition in r/w mode.
3. Browse using script manager app as root (change setting in config).
4. Go to /system/etc folder and change file permission for vold.fstab to rwxrwxrwx (This means tick all the 9 boxes on the left not the 3 on the right.....such a technical explanation)
5. Then edit the vold.fstab file as text and change the following
Change:
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.0/mmc_host/mmc0
to
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.2/mmc_host/mmc2
Change:
s3c-sdhci.0
to
s3c-sdhci.2
Change:
mmc0
to
mmc2
Save the file and reboot the phone!
If all has gone well then your sdcard partition will be mounted and old faithful is ready to ride once again!
I hope this worked for you, if it didn't...gutted and I guess you have moved onto the next post...good hunting!
Please note this solution was created from a pile of posts I trawled through to get a solution. The above vold.fstab solution was taken from the following post. Unfortunately this posts overall solution didn't work for me, but I would not have been able to mount remaining External SD Space as well...you know THE EXTERNAL SD! without his post, which is the best part!

im having a little trouble with step 2,

Hi reganstott i have similar problem but a little different. my galaxy i9000 stuck in boot loop too but the difference is that my phone do not enter into recovery mode and has boot loop even in download mod. therefore i can install no rom's. Do you know what is the exact problem of my phone? i try your solution but step 1A can't be done because my phone continue boot loop even in download mode. please help me

I tested the procedure 3 times, worked all the time, but when I checked on the 'SD card and phone storage' on the 'Settings', still SD card is not recognized, but I got now USB Storage, so I could use the camera now.
Although the real problem of corrupt internal SD card is not yet solved, it is a solution.

Tutorial Link2SD/make more Space in Internal Memory with Link2SD for Moto G 3rd 2015

Prerequisites:
1. obviously moto g 2015 3rd gen
2. bootloader unlocked followed by root (search for this in other threads)
3. make backup of your ext sd card as everything will be deleted (mine is 64 gb strontium memory card)
4.card reader (mine is Transcend USB 3.0 Super Speed Multi-Card Reader for SD/SDHC/SDXC/MS/CF Cards)
Steps:
1. switch off your device and take ext sd card out
2. download and install MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition 9.1 on your pc http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html
3. Insert your SD card to a card reader and open it on your computer
4. Back up all your files to the computer because partitioning will wipe your data
5. Open Mini Tool in your computer. Locate your SD card (be careful in choosing and make sure not to choose the drive of your computer)
6. Right click and choose Delete
7. Right click on it again and choose Create New. Create “FAT32″ partition (This is where all your media files will go. Be sure to make it bigger than the 2nd part)
8. Select “Create as: PRIMARY”
9. Next, ext4 partition. This is where your apps will go. I suggest a value of 512Mb or 1Gb would be big enough but if you insist you can go as high as 2Gb.
10. Select “Create As: PRIMARY” (make sure that it is both set to primary because it will not work if it is not set to primary)
11. Click the “Apply” button on the top left corner and wait for it to finish the process. Done.
12. Put back your SD card to your phone and switch it on.
13. Download and install Link2sd from Google Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en
14. Open Link2sd. You will be prompted to choose between ext2, ext3, ext4 and FAT32. Select ext4.
15. It will say mount script created. Reboot your phone now.
16. Open link2sd and if the message doesn’t show up, you succeded.
17. check storage info
18. Go to Link2sd>Settings>check the autolink (to automatically move apps upon installation)
i have link2sd plus version as it allows me to link obb etc

The above method makes partition of external sd card and treat that as internal memory so answer is yes.now u may ask why this linking ? Answer is simple because some apps have widgets

Gparted why not because it works same as tool which I have mentioned in my guide.though I have not tried it but u can,but remember to backup your external sd card first.

Hey so I didn't think I'd need to do this on this device however turns out I had too. could anyone help me out? I'm getting slight lag on 16gb class 10. I have it partitioned 10gb FAT32 and 4gb ext4. Is that wrong?

well u can try 3c toolbox trim partition feature or this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grilledmonkey.lagfix&hl=en and hope this solves your problem.
about partition u have done right that is 10gb fat32,4gb ext4 and actually is depends how many apps u going to use on your device.i have 5gb ext 4 partition.

I did set 10gb fat32 and 4gb ext4 so I'm glad that's correct, hopefully this lag fix sorts me, opening apps are sluggish on the SD card to the point where having link2sd and save obb to sdcard is more strain then the worth lol

3c toolbox app has another feature named "sd card read speed" try that also.if possible try to find what is actually causing lag and we will try to fix that problem :fingers-crossed:

i am using latest version of link2sd which is 4.0.12 and link2sd plus (new) 1.1 and everything working fine.

Thanks for the guide, used it for my Moto G/4G.
I'm still a bit puzzled by some inner workings of Link2sd though, mainly the fact that the APK part keeps going back to the main memory even though I keep linking it to the external SD. Is anyone else seeing that?

i do not face any problem u mentioned earlier as i have done same exact guide on my moto g 2015 too step by step.try steps mentioned below
1.go to link2sd and open it,if no message pop up than u have created mount scripts right.if any message pop up than recreate mount scripts by taping bar on left side of app than recreate mount script than ext4 than reboot,hopefully u should not see any message after u open app
2.now go to three dots (on extreme right of app) and check storage info (u will be able to see all partitions including the one which u have created of external sd card and check whether it have free space or not)
3.go to settings and check auto link followed tap install location and check automatic

Yeah, that's all good. The slight problem is that for some reason the APK part sometimes goes back to the internal memory, at least according to the interface. Check your apps, maybe you'll see the same thing.

well i checked all my linked apps and all there apk part are not linked to internal memory rather to sd card (partition of ext sd card)
which version of link2sd u using ? did ya download it from play store or other source ? do u have link2sd plus too ?

Link2sd Plus, yes, latest version, I'm going to check the "auto link" option maybe that will fix what I am seeing.

Can't manually install or move apps to /system/app /system/priv-app?

hi,
I am on a rooted 900w s5 and I'm trying to move apps to the system partition. Mainly, Im trying to move viper to stop it from turning off and on constantly when installed as user. When I try to do this and reboot, the app disappears. Only flashing the app from recovery works but then i get issues with the convolver in viper not working. Permissions are all set correctly too.
Any solutions?

I 've used Link2SD to do what you want.
I had done this manually in LP , but something changed in MM. I haven't found out the difference because I've used Link2SD and it is easier

The only way to install apps on system its using a zip file and flashing it from recovery to add those apps on system dir

if you are on Marshmellow, DONT EVEN THINK OF LINK2SD!!!!! _ (it will mess your internal & external Storage. yu'll need to flush stock os again).
the changes between MM & LP are mainly to the Storage Permissions.
Samsung disabled the option to move or link apps and their DATA to EXTERNAL!!!!
THOUGH..... there is an AWESOME App Called: "ROOT ESSENTIALS"
this is how you do it: (in case your premissions is not messed up)
in "root essentials" choose the storage tab and then format your Ext' SD as "Internal Storage". This way you will have all your storage as Internal (up to 256GB)
you can also choose how much % you want to allocate from your Ext' SD to be Internal, And how much leave as External.

This is the Only Good Solution I found on S5 6.0
p.s.
I just formatted all as INTERNAL and now my phone have 140GB as Internal (everything is handled as admin!!!)

How is that any different than what marshmallow can already do? Unless you can actually access the sd card when taking it out, it's the exact same.

Thanks for this but I dunno if this will solve my problem. My problem is mainly with viper4android crashing and staring up again (turning off and on) while listening to music. It happens when I install it as a user app which I have to do to get the convolver and field surround to work. To get it to stop crashing I moved the app to /system/priv-app and rebooted. I can't do that on my s5 MM. When I reboot the app disappears. LOL
I'll try your method and see if it works.

its not perfect but, if you do 50% as internal and 50% as External.... you will be able to access those 50% external from any machine (will req' a fat sd to enjoy space)
or
Downgrade from Marshmallow.

now im on 6.0.1 and it seems nothing is working!
i get right up to the well but cant get the water to drink.
i also tried the Xpose Framework, aftre installing and settings, i got to the point i need to Cut/Paste, But all File Explorers say there is no permission to WRITE on SD Card. _ even the Write Permision on ESFileExplorer say i cant have it with S5 G900F...
so if that friend got it to work on 6.0.1 id love to know how the procces looked.

you are right. (from all these messing around i mixed it all up).

I Can tell what I did.
First data: I have a S5 900H Dualcore. Marshmallow 6.0.1 and it was impossible to mount the second partition using Link2SD I always got an error. So as described in this forum. I downloaded from Play Store the APK Root Essentials, and chosed the tab Adopted or Emulated Memory (I have this APP in spanish and I do not know how is displayed in english) a new window appears indicating taht the SD will be formated, I accepted it, the APP began the process and ask me to download from Play store a plugin to continue the process.
Downloaded the plugin directly in my cell, I flashed it (the plugin is in zip format, my cell is root and has Teamwin recovery) the cell reboot automaticaly and again I opened the Root Essentials, thats all. Whit this same APP you now may choose to move your APPs to the SD card.
Opening the system to see how is my phone now I found that Memory is 49.73 GB used to a total of 64GB (I do not know why those numbers because my Cell has 16GB internak and other 16GB External SD maybe some one may explain this) Anyway it is saying my cell memory has now 64 GB
Internal Memory 16 GB--External SD 16 GB. You cannot find that your internal memory is bigger than before because those ar the phisycally configuration BUT now your phone added the Extrnaal SD to the Internal Memory and works like a unique one.
There is another method you may try and it is using Xposed Apk, it has a module that make the same and links the ext SD with the internal memory. I saw that it works well. I cannot try it because I never could install Xposed App in this cell I alway got an error.

so, you really got me motivated to sort this out. (not about our dear thread opener though i hope he'll fin the answer, but regarding the sd as internal).
i did not quite on Root Essentials and investigated some more. happy to say i found a solution for S5 G900F, Android arshmallow 6.0.1.
this is what i did:
1. Root The Device
2. Install Root Essentials
*note*: there is a plugin file that we need to flush using RootEssentilas, but we will be asked to do so only after : Adopting, and the Revertring. (on reverting we'll be asked to flush the plugin). So....
3. Adopt the Sd. (Adopt the whole 100%)
4. you will be asked to Reboot, so do so
5. after rebbot, go to "Adopt SD" tab again, AND NOW "REVERT" the Process.
* Now you will be Given Ifo To Download the Plugin and Flush it USING ROOT ESSENTIALS FLASHER TAB!
(you would be also asked to Backup System and such, I DID IT maybe 10 Times But NEVER BACKED UP ANYTHING! so IMO, you can skip the backup).
6. Download the PlugIn
7. In RootEssentilas goto "TOOLS" tab and then the "FLASHER" tab, Click "Flash Zip File" and then choose the Downloaded File to flush it.!
8. After Flashing the Plugin Restart your Device
9. NOW ADOPT the SD _ (i have 64gb, I choose 50% so ill be able to connect my phone to Pc and Still Get the other 50% to move Files from Pc to Phone)
***IMPORTANR*** _ YOUR PC WILL NEVER LOAD THE ADOPTED SD!!!! (so if you did 100% from 64GB you will see Only the Real Phisical Phone Storage, on S5 its either 16GB or 32GB)
SO Choose 50% !
10. After Adopting the SD, goto "STORAGE" tab on RootEssentilas , And then goto "APP INSTALL LOCATION" and Choose INSTALL ON SD!! (SAVE)
11. Now install all your games and favorite apps (regullary!)

Now come the important Step

12. in RootEssentilas goto "ADOPTABLE STORAGE" tab and then goto "MIGRATE DATA" tab. Click on Migrate Data,
Now pay Atention:
CHOOSE THE SD CARD That Was ADOPTED!!! _ (if you did 50%, the you will have 2 Sd Crads, one as Portable, And second wil be Writen As Oly "SD Card" Which is the Adopted AS Internal, So choose IT)!
after choosing the Adopted SD, Look On the Upper Right For the Three Dots of the Settings, clikc them for Settings and choose "MIGRATE DATA".
Let the Device to its trick, it will move anything it can.
you will see that your Orginal Internal Storage has more free space then Before the Migrate, And that the ADoptabe Storage Is getting Filled!.

CORRECTED. I Unistalled the adopted memory because I did not like the readings I get. I reinstalled it and now I am getting the correct reading 49.76 GB in use a total of 64GB. The problem I am encountering now is that sometimes the cell reboots.

I got this installed and mostly working I think. Device storage says Internal Storage is 16GB and SD Card is 64GB (I assigned that). Then the portable storage is 120GB from the rest of my 200GB SD. So it's working, though the SD Card in Device Storage is barely full and internal storage is almost full!
