They also use other bands that iPhones and unlocked devices can pick 3G on. I'm in an area that supports it now.

you could use the uk xperia z with 3g on att in some places.
the c6606 is supposed to be US version of the xperia z it will have the same radios as xperia zl C6506 (/showthread.php?t=2130466)
So long as you live in areas where att has the 1900 bands available you would be fine with the c6603 right?

Great, let me know which model you end up getting and how that goes. I'm going to get the HSPA+ model and used it in T-Mobile's refarmed network. Have you been using its refarmed network since it launched? I'm just worried about streaming my music from Google Music on my Z and being able to tether it to a Macbook Air.

Curious, so the .74 builds aren't specific to the "3" (hutchinson) networks.
This is not a generic rom. 1270-3839 is the customisation number for T-Mobile NL. Generic NL is 1270-4975.

Just out of curiosity, is wifi calling specific to T-mobile USA or is it an available feature on European T-mobile roms/phones too? I have a c6606 and the only thing keeping me from updating to a 4.2 rom is the lack of wifi calling.

I cant answer that question for you so you will have to find your answer in a different section.
However there is a possibility to use an app called KPN bellen that uses Wi-Fi (for Dutch kpn users)

Would not recommend you.
I personally was seduced by greater build version...
Of course I was fully aware that this higher number is just because of the specific provider's build, but anyway decided to give it a shot (since it's my Dutch provider as well).
Holy crap.....
The T-Mobile start screen is staying for ages on reboot, unnecessary bloatware, but MOST disgusting thing is.....
It does NOT have LTE option in menu Mobile Networks Settings -> Network Mode......
Huh... and this company brings officially 4G in November, and company's specific firmware does not have an option to choose it in settings...... wow , what a bunch of a***holes.
So, I'm now back to the Generic NL(1270-4975) 10.3.1.A.2.67 and happy For me it again proves that the network related builds are always inferior to generic.....even if you use the build for your own mobile network...
After delete all overlay apk, lte option appered in selection menu.
I've compared all application over fw67. Nearly all of them same except signature date.
Plus some different camera files.

This is the thread about the present 2.74 firmware. People do not need TM "blessing" and wait when TM finally allows something , what our phone is capable and enabled right out of box. That is exactly the point discussed, that no one wants to be bossed by providers when they provide the inferior updates.

Yes it's about present .74 firmware, but why should they support a functionality they do not offer(yet)?
The more you enable, the more errors you can get. By the way, the Rom can use lte, but you just have to enable it in service menu.
If you have another provider, then why bother with using t-mobile firmware at all? They don't offer 4g, so you can't select it. From November 18 4g is officially rolled out in a couple of mayor city's, and from November 18 t-mobile customers will get a firmware update which will enable the 4g checkbox.

LTE issue

I'am on stock POLAND 4.4.2 Official Release 9005 LTE. I live in Poland and my gsm provider (PLUS) has LTE feature on, unless that I have no LTE on my device (3G only or H+). Friend of mine has NOKIA Lumia at the same provider and has LTE on it at the same time and the same place. So WTF with my Note 3 ? Why it does not get right signal?

It's possible that you have the wrong frequency on your device (possible not guaranteed!) --- OR you don't have an LTE contract with your provider? - or you just need a software update from them?
Many factors here to take into account,.

Maybe you need a 4G sim? If i remember correctly when 3g came around for orange i had a 3g phone but my sim wasn't 3g so therefore i had to buy a 3g sim card in order for the 3g capabilities on my phone, Unless you ring up 3network and explain to them your having trouble getting 4g on your device,
They'll probably tell you you'll need a new sim or something
According to the site it's a software upgrade from three that's needed

There's just not much reliable coverage yet, there's no need for a software update on an android phone, if it's capable it will get it. I often get an lte connection when I'm out and I did no such update

According to site like I said
How can I get 4G?
To get 4G when it comes to your area you need to make sure you’ve downloaded all the latest software updates on your 4G device. Your 4G update is not labelled as 4G, so we recommend you download all software to ensure you have access to 4G when it comes to your area.
