My boss unread message count notification won't disappear after the messages are read. He's also using SMS Popup, so I don't know if that could interfere. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi, I am having this problem with one unread SMS when in fact there are no messages in my in box. It's kinda annoying because even after I deleted all my messages, all 95 of them, it still keeps me showing I still have one unread SMS. Any suggestions please. Don't want to reset my device just because of one unread message which I can't see.
Try looking in the '1 Unread SMS' thread about 6 threads down
Thanks a lot for yer help helterskelter. And sorry for duplicating a thread. A lil' heads up the utility will set the count straight only with the messaging application closed. I ran it the first time with the messages open and the phantom message(now I know what it's called) was still showing.
When I get a text message I get two notifications, 1 for sms and1 for unread msg. When i click the sms it goes away. But when i click the unread message it takes me to sms, but the notification stays there? How do i remove this?
Hi there. I have same problem as here Get rid of SMS notification on top status bar on my Mini.
In HTC Sense homesreec, above SMS tab, is still unread SMS count. Im reading SMS messages in that tab, but I have to open it in messaging app to clear notification. Sometimes I have to open all of them since I dont know which one is unread. Can I disable that notification somehow or set it to mark as read when I read it in Sense Home Screen?
There is a timeout on the SMS tab.
If you have received an SMS and switch to the SMS tab, the counter is only changed when the SMS is shown long enough. If you read quickly and swipe to the next SMS, the timeout is not reached, and the counter not changed.
To quickly show which SMS are not read yet, go to "All messages". You will see an overview of your contacts and the unread messages from these contacts.
Thank you very much, really. You're right, I never reached that timeout before, I'm reading too fast. I'll wait for it now, it's working
Using the default messenger app is there anyway to mark all unread text messages as read?
I don't believe there is a way.
sent from somewhere
I use Pushbullet which doesn't mark messages as read. At the end of the day I'm stuck opening and closing all my messages to get rid of all the notifications.
I did a search and I don't see this anywhere. When I get an SMS message there is no counter for unread messages on the app icon. Is this normal for Samsung as I've never had a Samsung phone before. I find it kind of annoying that it doesn't show unread messages on the icon. I'd rather not use a 3rd party SMS app.
